This Midwest City Is One of the Best Places for the Holidays With Its New 1,000-foot-long Riverfront Ice Skating Trail
"Glass City Metropark was once an industrial zone and now features two winter-play friendly playgrounds and a sledding hill. The park is part of the larger Glass City Riverwalk project, expected to be completed in 2030, which will include 300 acres of riverfront greenway and a multi-use trail connecting six Toledo neighborhoods." - Evie Carrick

A great spot to enjoy the outdoors in Toledo, Ohio. Situated along the river with views of bridges on both sides of the park. There are multiple playgrounds, lots of parking, a building with roof top patio, washrooms and a fun little pier with bridges and suspension nets.

Absolutely beautiful park! Highly recommend anyone, especially with kids visit. Beautiful scenery right on the river. Meticulously maintained park. As soon as you cross the massive bridge, take exit 9 for Front St. You will be happy did!

My kids are obsessed with the large play structure. We spent most of our time there and can't wait to check out more of the park. The skate rental for the ribbon was closed, so we will try thay next time..there was more in the distance rhat we want to check out. But it's a beautiful park, with a great views, and I'm glad we stopped here!

We love glass city metropark! On Wednesdays you can do free roller skate rentals! My kids love doing that and going to the splash pad. I love that there is a food option from The Garden by Poco Piatti. I’ve had friends have birthday parties here too. My only complaint is that the playground for the smaller kids is not quite little kid friendly. All my kids that are under 5 can’t do a lot of it but I don’t mind since there is the splash pad.

Really really nice park. Perfect for everyone. There are playgrounds for kids. Water features to cool down in. Roller skating. Food to sit down and eat. A bar. Ice skating in the winter.
Private Cabanas to rent. Lots of areas to picnic in.
Public bathrooms. Lots of walking trails. Plenty of parking throughout the park.
The whole place is very safe and well maintained from what I have seen. Everything seems to be wheelchair accessible also.

Must go to place in Toledo! Loved to see all the activity. This is a true hidden gem! There is skating with skate rentals around the ribbon. A nice lunch spot where you can grab a drink after work. A water feature okay area with natural looking play features such as waterfalls. Cabanas for rent for a family picnic and shade. Inside you can grab a bite to eat and a drink.
