Glen Clova Hotel

Just back from a 3 night stay in “Cameron Lodge” at the Glen Clova Hotel…What a place , absolutely breathtaking scenery, amazing facilities both in the lodge and in the hotel . Beautiful restaurant with delicious food and the cosiest of bars for chilling having a few drinks at night. We were greeted on our first day and throughout our stay by Jenny one of the staff members who was very welcoming and such a nice woman, an absolute credit to this hotel . All the staff were very friendly and absolutely nothing was a problem. Definitely be back

Came here for dinner with my family last Wednesday. Glen Doll is one of my favourite places to go when I am in Scotland. I have passed by this hotel many times and always wanted to stop by. I am so pleased that we did! The restaurant offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and culinary excellence. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, ensuring our needs were met with genuine hospitality. The food was outstanding—locally sourced and beautifully cooked. I especially loved the Venison burger, which was full of flavor. Highly recommend this resteraunt for anyone visiting the area—an absolute gem!

Staff are beyond super friendly, apologies not to mention each by name.|In their advertising, it states arrive as a guest , leave as a friend, and it really is the case. Also true to wording of “dog friendly”. I think Indie our flat coat, got even better treatment , if that’s possible.|We stayed at one of the hideaway lodges, spotlessly clean, really comfy bed, great shower, and amazing personal hot tub (also personal sauna). Glen Clova, have really put a lot of thought into caring for guests.|Last thing to mention , the food! Absolutely gorgeous, with great variety.|I hope that our next visit will not be too long away.|Thanks again Glen Clova!

We really enjoyed our stay in the old mill lodge. It’s very spacious and well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with lovely walks. We would definitely recommend the Glen Clova hotel.

Went to a wedding. Had an accessible room. Located 75 metres from main hotel. Access to hotel was over very rough track not suitable for a wheelchair. Other than that it was a lovely stay.

We stayed in one of the beautiful Lodges and I can honestly say it's the best 3 night sleep I've had in years. Wonderful stay with wonderful staff from beginning to end. Stunning scenery and the food was just sublime especially their own venison range, if you go you must, must try the venison burger.

We had a great time on our trip. We stayed in the Old Mill Lodge, which had everything you could possibly need. We especially enjoyed the hot tub after a day walking. We had lunch and dinner in the hotel during our stay, the food was excellent. An extra mention to Jenny, who works in Bar and Restaurant. She goes that extra mile, Jenny you’re a star. We will definitely be back.

The hotel was in a lovely location and our family room was nice. It had bunk beds for the kids and a comfortable double bed and a nice sized en-suite. The staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly, they made our stay pleasant. The wedding we were at was very good. Thank you

A superb location in the most spectacular of the angus glens, and one of the finest areas of the scottish highlands. It's the perfect point to start good walks of any type, depending on your ability. But it doesn't take any walking skills to reach the stunning lakes up the mountains and admire the spectacular views. However, the hotel itself is not as special The food is not that amazing, but it's quite expensive. The manager can often make guests feel uncomfortable as she is often on the edge because of stress. Do not expect to be mollycuddled! I would rather recommend people to spend the evening here, or to have a break from the walks drinking something in the afternoon, but not more.

I like the Glen Clova hotel for its situation and wonderful log fires. The food is fairly reasonable but the vegetables slightly over done at times. However still enjoyable and good for a night out. The staff are very friendly and drinks fairly priced for a hotel. Afternoon tea is very nice with a great choice of teas and comfortable sofas with free wifi. There are many beautiful walks near to the hotel and it is well worth a visit in the evening or during the day. As a local I have been tempted to try a weekend in their log cabins which provide a private sauna and hot tub.

I decided to treat my lovely mum for her birthday to a stay and dinner at the Glen Clova hotel. I have been trying for years to get her there as I knew she would love it. After a lovely day hiking we checked in to our lovely twin room. Bathroom was huge and a lovely hot bath was just what the dr ordered. Dinner was amazing and hot. My mum is one of the fussiest eaters I have ever met and even she could not find a fault. In the morning the breakfast room was full but the way the lady handled the situation was excellent. We were placed in the dining room which we were much happier with anyway as nicer views and quieter. Breakfast again was amazing. Have been to Glen Clova loads and nice to have my mum agree that it is really a lovely place to visit whether for a drink after a days hike or for a stay.
