Glen Clova Hotel

We were at Glen Clova for a wedding. The rooms were beautiful and spotless. The main areas were cozy and inviting. The views were stunning every day. The pub and staff were fun. The food and coffee were delicious. The wedding in the chapel and reception in the new event hall was memorable to all . A special compliment to Mhairi. She made us feel right at home.

We had a great one night stay. Our dinner was incredible. Highly recommend the 12 hour slow cooked beef and the 12 hour slow cooked venison. Melt in your mouth. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

We were there for a family wedding and it was a beautiful place to go for that. Nice, well equipped lodges, clean, good proximity to each other but not too close. Bar and bar food was lovely. Staff tried really hard to make everything good for us.

We stayed at the old manse in Glen Clova with a family group. We were very happy with the level of cleanliness and standard of the Old Manse. The hot tub was nice and clean and good temperature to sit out in autumnal weather. The house has everything you need for a weekend away to cook and prepare your own meals and enjoy the Glen's beautiful scenery for walks and cycling. Very enjoyable thanks again! We will be back. :)

Stunning setting for a get away from it all break. Stayed in Wallace lodge, was fabulous! Sauna & hot tub spot on. Hotel was very friendly & welcoming in particular Jenny who was sadly leaving (good luck!) Excellent walks in area. Highly recommend

Our family stayed for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the space. Good central heating and a log burner kept us warm. The ten of us were able to cook and eat comfortably and the kitchen was well stocked with all we needed to prepare food. The hot tub is in a lovely setting. Plenty walks and we took our bikes to the Rottal Steading local market on the Saturday.

Stayed here while attending the Duathlon event raising funds for Tayside Mountain Rescue, which my daughter took part in. Stayed in The Bothy room. Great size, cosy, comfortable beds, plenty appropriate storage suitable for outdoor activities and gear. Dinner was very good as was breakfast. Good choices and plenty of it 😁 Can't fault the staff either, service was excellent, staff friendly, helpful and eager to please. Have been to Clova before, eaten there but never stayed over. Really impressed with accommodation and facilities. And as for the surroundings, views and walks.......stunning, breathtaking and totally wonderful ❤️ Well done to everyone at Clova 👏

Our group of ten adults booked the Old Manse for 3 nights, Friday through to Sunday. Check-in at the main hotel reception was smooth and pleasant and the accommodation was only yards away. |The large garden area was welcoming and the pheasants abounded. The large hot tub was appreciated and secluded.|The kitchen has lovely big cooker and plenty of fridge space. We had our main meals in the spacious dining room and the cosy atmosphere was loved by all. |There's a pool table in the games room for those wanting to pot a few balls to pass some time. The rooms, I shared the bunk beds with my brother, were toasty and the others enjoyed their en suite facilities. |It's a great base for exploring the Glens and there's plenty of walks for all degrees of fitness and skills. |Only one disappointment, we only stayed for three nights, maybe next time, a longer stay 😁

A superb location in the most spectacular of the angus glens, and one of the finest areas of the scottish highlands. It's the perfect point to start good walks of any type, depending on your ability. But it doesn't take any walking skills to reach the stunning lakes up the mountains and admire the spectacular views. However, the hotel itself is not as special The food is not that amazing, but it's quite expensive. The manager can often make guests feel uncomfortable as she is often on the edge because of stress. Do not expect to be mollycuddled! I would rather recommend people to spend the evening here, or to have a break from the walks drinking something in the afternoon, but not more.

I like the Glen Clova hotel for its situation and wonderful log fires. The food is fairly reasonable but the vegetables slightly over done at times. However still enjoyable and good for a night out. The staff are very friendly and drinks fairly priced for a hotel. Afternoon tea is very nice with a great choice of teas and comfortable sofas with free wifi. There are many beautiful walks near to the hotel and it is well worth a visit in the evening or during the day. As a local I have been tempted to try a weekend in their log cabins which provide a private sauna and hot tub.

I decided to treat my lovely mum for her birthday to a stay and dinner at the Glen Clova hotel. I have been trying for years to get her there as I knew she would love it. After a lovely day hiking we checked in to our lovely twin room. Bathroom was huge and a lovely hot bath was just what the dr ordered. Dinner was amazing and hot. My mum is one of the fussiest eaters I have ever met and even she could not find a fault. In the morning the breakfast room was full but the way the lady handled the situation was excellent. We were placed in the dining room which we were much happier with anyway as nicer views and quieter. Breakfast again was amazing. Have been to Glen Clova loads and nice to have my mum agree that it is really a lovely place to visit whether for a drink after a days hike or for a stay.
