Glen Clova Hotel & Lodges

We got married at the Clova Hotel over the festive period and had the most fabulous small wedding (16 adults plus kids) The location, the food and most importantly the staff made our experience so lovely. Every staff member we encountered in our two day stay went out of their way to make our time bespoke and comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome from start to finish.

We were there for two nights to attend a wedding. Though in a remote area, the drive to the Glen Clova was full of stunning views and things to see. Glen Clova is a very welcoming, warm, relaxed and friendly hotel. We stayed in a small cottage (Mill Lodge Cottage) next to the hotel and we could not have been happier with our accommodation. A Christmas Tree had even been set up and was brightly lit to welcome us. We had two nights with Breakfast included and we found the value to be excellent. The cottage was well appointed with everything you would need for a short stay, whether eating at the hotel or self-catering. There was even a hot tub outside and a small barbecue for the summer months. The cottage was immaculately clean and set out ready. The area the cottage was set in was lovely and quiet with a bubbling stream running on the side. The staff went above and beyond during our stay and worked extremely hard to ensure everything went smoothly. Well done and a big thank you to you all.

Amazing venue - fantastic setup & will definitely return! The bar / hotel was around 2 minute walk from accommodation and lovely. The apartment was brilliant and great quality, including the hot tub. A perfect staycation, I can't thank the staff enough!! 👍👍

Stayed here for the wedding of our daughter Katie and her new husband Kev. Had the most wonderful time and everything was perfect. Nothing was a problem for them and we look forward to returning for a break there over the summer. Lodge was amazing and spotlessly ckean. Hot tub and sauna an added bonus Most beautiful setting -even in the rain. X

Location is spectacular. Found it tranquil & well located. Lodge outstanding. Well furnished, everything you need & more, tastefully put together. The lodge was spotlessly clean. From a value point of view, or thoughts were that it is slightly overpriced. Staff were pleasant & attentive. Our only issues related to a non-existent signal to view the TV. Staff attempted to resolve, but were unsuccessful. On entry to the rear of the lodge (bathroom/bedroom) we were greeted with a pungent smell of drains, which was disguised by plug-in air fresheners, which unfortunately, didn’t mask the smell. Luckily I had a spray air freshener in the car !!

Just incredible! Highly recommend this place. We stayed in one of the lodges - it was 10/10. We also had dinner and drinks in the hotel - also 10/10. Great value, great service, great place. These guys are doing an amazing job here, I will be coming back.

utterly superb stay. Glen Clova is beautiful and very quiet at this time of year, but it must be hard to run a viable hotel in the off season. The staff made sure the place was cheerful and lively for the few guests they have midweek in this off-season. Food was superb and served very quickly.

Stunning setting for a get away from it all break. Stayed in Wallace lodge, was fabulous! Sauna & hot tub spot on. Hotel was very friendly & welcoming in particular Jenny who was sadly leaving (good luck!) Excellent walks in area. Highly recommend

A superb location in the most spectacular of the angus glens, and one of the finest areas of the scottish highlands. It's the perfect point to start good walks of any type, depending on your ability. But it doesn't take any walking skills to reach the stunning lakes up the mountains and admire the spectacular views. However, the hotel itself is not as special The food is not that amazing, but it's quite expensive. The manager can often make guests feel uncomfortable as she is often on the edge because of stress. Do not expect to be mollycuddled! I would rather recommend people to spend the evening here, or to have a break from the walks drinking something in the afternoon, but not more.

I like the Glen Clova hotel for its situation and wonderful log fires. The food is fairly reasonable but the vegetables slightly over done at times. However still enjoyable and good for a night out. The staff are very friendly and drinks fairly priced for a hotel. Afternoon tea is very nice with a great choice of teas and comfortable sofas with free wifi. There are many beautiful walks near to the hotel and it is well worth a visit in the evening or during the day. As a local I have been tempted to try a weekend in their log cabins which provide a private sauna and hot tub.

I decided to treat my lovely mum for her birthday to a stay and dinner at the Glen Clova hotel. I have been trying for years to get her there as I knew she would love it. After a lovely day hiking we checked in to our lovely twin room. Bathroom was huge and a lovely hot bath was just what the dr ordered. Dinner was amazing and hot. My mum is one of the fussiest eaters I have ever met and even she could not find a fault. In the morning the breakfast room was full but the way the lady handled the situation was excellent. We were placed in the dining room which we were much happier with anyway as nicer views and quieter. Breakfast again was amazing. Have been to Glen Clova loads and nice to have my mum agree that it is really a lovely place to visit whether for a drink after a days hike or for a stay.
