"Rambling in the Glens of Antrim The nine Glens of Antrim, a series of lush green valleys opposite the Causeway coast, are another of Northern Ireland 's most striking features. Each glen has its own forests, waterfalls and rivers. Glenariff is known as the Queen of the Glens and at Glenariff Forest Park you’ll find waymarked trails through woodlands, past rivers and waterfalls. Or follow the Glenarm Scenic Route (starting at the village of Glenarm), passing Glenarm Castle which has a walled garden and tearooms, along the way. The heritage village of Cushendall is another highlight. Photo: NITB"

Glenarm is one of the nine Glens of Antrim and has this lovely forest park and river running through. The loop walk will take about 50 minutes to complete, but you can take time by the Glenarm river or along the Pheasant Glen Burn. Glenarm Castle will come into view as you walk along river. It's located on the edge of Glenarm village and the forest carpark will take about 10 cars. It's possible to walk to the forest from the marina carpark if you want a bit of a longer walk.

Just another gem on the route around the Antrim coast. Glenarm forest, peaceful, beautiful and fantastic walk with the pup's. Well worth a look #getbacktonature. 💯👌

A nice forest. The anticlockwise walking route is a long climb and you do need to be reasonably fit to walk it because of the steepish gradient in parts. Alternatively you could just walk along the gentle path beside the river. The paths can be muddy. Parking for around 10 cars at the start of the trail or plenty of free parking is available in the village car parks. We didn't see any Red Squirrels although we did see a Dipper bird in the river. Well worth visiting if you are in the area.

Walk here with my three retrievers 5 times a week. It's lovely. Just remember most of the dogs are off lead and friendly. If you don't like dogs, Carnfunnock would be up your street.

A beautiful forest walk, part way along the river. However, the map states there are four sculptures - I'm afraid this is not true, no sculptures to be seen sadly! Lovely wildlife though.
