Excellent location but quite tricky to navigate the windy roads in a Moho. Within walking distance of the superb Fairy Pools. So picturesque. Cafe and shop, although small, is excellent. Nice range of drinks, cakes and food. Staff were really friendly and helpful also. Only down side was that the shower/toilet facilities need updating to accommodate such a busy site. Overall an enjoyable stay and would return.

Really lovely camp spot! We stayed for one night in our campervan. The campsite is really beautiful, although it is pretty much in the middle of nowhere (also no phone reception). It’s close to the Fairy Pools and a lot of hikes start there as well. The facilities are deep-cleaned twice a day and really good. There is a cafe and little shop on site with all necessities. You can also eat pizza or soup in the evening, or order some freshly baked bread in the morning (pizza and bread were both really good). The staff was really nice and friendly and made us feel welcome the second we stepped into the reception. The pricing was also fine. We had a nice time there and I would definitely recommend it!

A wonderful campsite between the mountains and on a beach. Staff super amazing, available to help you with everything. Suggestion ; in the morning the coffee queue is really really long, try to be there at 8. You’ll thank me later 👋

We brought our Motorhome here for one and night and were extremely disappointed at the lack of decent facilities on this sight. No phone signal. No wifi. I totally understand the concept of “getting away from it all” but you should still be able to get a phone signal to call and make sure people are ok back home. They had one toilet block with Showers which were a great distance from the pitches. This caused us some problems as my mum has mobility issues. The pitches and the road into the sight were extremely unkept. The grass was growing wild, and The potholes were an absolute disgrace. Extremely expensive motorhomes being taken into this sight are at risk of damage. I would discourage anyone taking a motorhome here until the road gets fixed. The facilities are poor, with one shop/cafe open till 7pm. It’s extremely remote and the roads in are all passing places so you need plenty of patience. I would recommend or come back. When I compare the cost of this site at £72.00 and the cost of other sites being almost half with better facilities, we were ripped off.

Probably the weakest campsite we stayed at during our two weeks in Scotland. The location itself is beautiful – set among the mountains and right on the bay – but that’s where the positives end. The site is overcrowded, with pitches crammed far too close together, and the sanitary facilities are completely inadequate for the number of guests. The drinking water has a coloured, peaty tinge to it, so we preferred not to drink it. Internal roads are poorly maintained, and the grass is left to grow high, only flattened by people walking over it – it seems it hasn’t been mown in ages. The reception area looks nice and the receptionist was very friendly, but unfortunately that alone can’t make up for the overall disappointing experience.

Great Campsite in a fantastic location. Stayed here the first weekend in September, it was busy but there was still plenty of room to set up. Ideal location if you are here to climb some of the spectacular mountains or for a visit to the Fairy Pools. Weather was mixed while I was there but it was still a great place to relax. Coffee shop is well stocked and serves great coffee and some camping bits and pieces that you might have forgotten to bring with you. Toilet and shower area is cleaned early afternoon and again in the evening.

We stayed here for a week with my wife, farther in law and two dogs. A beautiful campsite that looks out to the sea with a great view of the Cuilins. We found it a great location to get onto the ridge as well as to relax on the beach. With no phone signal, this was the best place to relax and enjoy a may half term holiday. It is always worth bearing in mind the weather and Midges of Scotland (which the campsite can't control!) do need to be planned and factored in when visiting this campsite.

Fabulous site set up for walkers, adventures and holiday matters. Well managed and clean with delicious drinks and food available.

Yelp
Reviews described Glenbrittle as one of the most beautiful and best campsites in the British Isles, and, true to their word, in the sunshine, it was indeed pretty spectacular. The Black Cuillin Hills loom ominously and magnificently on one side, Glenbrittle beach lies directly ahead of the campsite and to the rear are wildlife-filled pine forests and the famous Fairy Pools. At only £5pp a night, with access to toilets, showers, the site shop, water sources, and a spacious field filled with cheeky rabbits during the night, Glenbrittle was a wonderful place to be. The location of the site is the key to its success, but also its only downfall. Being at the end of a valley means Glenbrittle stands in the centre of a huge wind tunnel, and when the gales pick up, so does your tent! Ours survived one night in 40mph gales but might not have lasted much longer. Some others didn't fair so well... An energetic 2/3hr walk will take you half way up to the Sgurr Alasdair (The Cuillin's highest point at 992m), and to its mysterious little Lochan and waterfall. A short drive away you will find Skye's tasty Taslisker Distillery and the little town of Portree. I would recommend this site to anybody!

Yelp
Easily the best campsite I've ever been to. If there were an, ERM, app...that designed campsites based on personalities and preferences...Glenbrittle would probably pop up as my *dream match*. 90%+ compatibility! Meant to be, Glenbrittle and me! The Isle of Skye is gorgeous, so the campsite already has the surrounding beauty going for it. Otherwise, though, here are the key components that speak to me: - hot showers - fantastic coffee (a barrista on-site who makes delectable flat whites? Nothing says "camping is ok" after a chilly windy night than AM flat whites to warm the body and soul) - BREAD BAKED TO ORDER! BREAD BAKED TO ORDER YOU GUYS! Take that flat white, and level up with a loaf of seeded sunflower bread and a 1/4 lb. of butter. Sit by Glenbrittle beach and revel in how amazing caffeine, hot carbs and salted fat can be in combination. Yelp note: no phone service or wifi, which might cause immediate anxiety but - trust - is relaxing as soon as you settle into it.
