Great location, on a quiet single track road next to a waterfall. It's an old fashioned hostel in a good way, the building is lovely and the lack of internet means that everyone is sitting around chatting, playing board games, and going on walks. The staff were very friendly and the drying room is super useful after a wet day out in the highlands. Well equipped kitchen, reasonably clean bathrooms, nice big common area.

Has everything you need. Only stayed 1 night but felt like a child on a school trip all over again. No signal at all, just peace and quiet, and the time to chat, play games, and read. The kitchen is massive, the bathrooms are clean, rooms are big, and the reception was welcoming. Can't remember his name (sorry!), but the guy behind the reception was super helpful and really nice to chat to. Would come back again.

No wifi or cellular. Forced you to talk to everyone else, so good vibes. Feels like summer camp. Next to a waterfall. 30 minute walk to another waterfall. Beautiful mountains. Only place to stay in the area. We like front desk dude. Roads in that area of Skye don’t have potholes and aren’t particularly narrow.

We spent three nights at the hostel, exploring the phenomenal scenery of the Cuilin Ridge. ||This is one of the most majestic and beautiful locations in Scotland. The hostel is among the best places to access it. ||The host - whose name was Michael I think- and hostess, were warm and welcoming and tried to help in every way possible. The hostel was clean and comfortable. The kitchen well equipped. ||I cant recommend the hostel highly enough. Its a great credit to Scottish tourism and I definitely intend to return.

Loved staying here - great for access to the mountains and the famous fairy pools! The hostel isn't officially open during the day, but they kindly allowed me to leave my luggage in the reception area so that I didn't have to carry a 70 litre pack to the beach and back with an injured foot. Staff were generally helpful and friendly, and I will definitely be back (although I might try to use a car to get there next time, as the hike from Sligachan with luggage is a killer!)

This place is perfectly located for walking in the Cuillen. It is clean and the staff are friendly, extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. I misplaced my reading glasses, which are an essential aid to navigation. It could have been a 2 hour round trip to buy more, which would have lost us a chance at reaching the Cuillen ridge that day. The host had picked up a lost pair of glasses on the mountain, which just happened to fit me perfectly, enabling us to reach the ridgeline and look down from Coir' a' Ghrunnda into Coir Lagan. That view took our breath away.

An off the beaten track hostel with its own spring water & falls on the hillside opposite. The Cuillins are literally above you when you stay, good for walkers and close to Glenbrittle beach which is at the end of the road by the busy campsite.....also on the same road as The Fairy Pools, but didn't stop there - the falls by the hostel were more dramatic and quieter.

The absolutely perfect place to stay if you’re looking for some quiet respite. Very close to the Fairy Pools but also opposite an incredible walk and set of waterfalls. A short walk from the beach and a clamber up beautiful hills, with hidden pools on the way up. Stewart and Benjamin, working at the hostel were wonderful. So helpful and friendly!
