Probably one of the best Cafe’s around Glendalough ! I wanted to take a photo of this exceptional PISTACHIO, PINEAPPLE, LIME cake but was too late as it immediately disappeared 😅 great place, incredible atmosphere and wonderful staff 🌟

Located near Glendalough Lake, this cafe exudes vintage charm. Offering homemade soup, customized sandwiches, and a variety of hot drinks, it's a perfect spot for a cozy meal. The homemade soup, served with bread and butter, is a must-try, prepared deliciously by the talented ladies. With limited indoor seating and an option for outdoor seating, it's one of our favorites. Don't miss the delightful carrot cake whenever it's available—it's a true treat for the taste buds!

Took a pit stop here before going to the Glendalough lakes for a hike. Ordered a carrot cake and an apple crumble cake (both ~EUR 4-5). Both handmade cakes were absolutely phenomenal.

Lovely place to stop off for a piece of homemade cake and cream and a real cup of coffee. Nice homely place. Does great soup and sandwiches too. Nice wine selection too. Pick up a bottle for later.

I spent the morning here as I'm a coach driver with VIP buses and had dropped my clients off up the road. I ordered coffee and an amazing salad plate that has to be the best one I've ever tasted! The price was unbelievably reasonable for both (under 12euro). The cafe is like stepping back in time and also has a small shop inside selling snacks/cards and other eclectic produce. A really good sign for any establishment is the presence of locals and there were a few here who were so friendly . However, apart from all of that it was staffed by a wonderful lady called Yvonne who listened to my woes and offered such kind words to me after I had had a tough mornings driving. I am so thrilled that places like this still exist and I know where I will be going when I'm dropping my tour groups Off. Well done, amazing, and thank you Yvonne. A truly Irish experience.

Fabulous Cafe. The ladies are so friendly. Food is home made. Lovely cup of tea and scones 👌❤️

Yelp
This place is like one varietal of my favorite Sunday mornings. Hippies making soups and vegetarian lasagnas, extremely well worn wooden tables and benches. Books and small pieces of art on postcards. A scone which was the perfect amount of not-too-sweet and just a little crusty on the outside, dense and soft inside. Excellent flat white.

Yelp
Nice little cafe with hot soup, scones, sandwiches, and pasta dishes for dining or take away. Serves coffee and trưa. Friendly service. One of few or the only? Ha fast cafe for sitting in the area when visiting Glendalough and Wicklow National Park area. Had the leek and potato soup which was tasty. Soda bread was a bit thick and floury, coffee was fine. Local shop that also sells other goods aside from food. Have a look and check it out. Other places worth dining with be Lynham's Hotel Bar Restaurant and Wicklow Heather which have higher quality foods. The cafe is more for a quick stop. Lots of cyclists stopped there for a quite drink/bite. Not the greatest but worth checking out whilst in the area. Nonchalant ambiance indoors. Better off sitting outside withe views but we're crowded with cyclists the day I went.

Yelp
First time on my bicycle doing 78 km route Blessington - Laragh - Glendalough - Blessington. As Laragh is half way, it's a must stop and have a kit kat. Wait, no no no. Stop and have a break. You're not cycling to have an excuse to eat more chocolate, are you :-) ? I did not have any power bars or snacks except bottle of water, which was kinda empty at the time I got to Laragh. I was starving and feeling fuzzy, because of it. When reached this oasis, can't call it anything else as a cyclist coming from Blessington. Even tho, buffet was already closed (it closes at 16:30) and the hole place was preparing for close down for 17:00 o'clock, they still let me have a cup of tea and some banana bread. They saved me, I mean it. I would't not have made it all the way back to Blessington without some food. They sell a lot of fruits, nuts and power, protein bars, liquids etc. Everything you might need for your cycling day. I'll take a picture of inside next time I'm there. They have nice little tables outside the shop so you can get your energy back, rest and replenish your strength. This is my 100% stop I'm in Laragh next time.

Yelp
A revelation to be honest, the Glendalough Green Cafe Deli. When you pull in it looks like an ordinary Irish village shop that sells newspapers and groceries. But you'll find wine, cheese, wholefoods and hand knitted socks! And that's not to mention the cafe deli out the back where you can get home made soups, sandwiches and cakes. Yummy cakes too. Strong hot coffee and hot cups of tay. It's a place we have found ourselves taking a pitstop in when we bring visitors for a drive from Dublin to Glendalough over the Wicklow Mountains. It's a nice place to have lunch. I am a big fan.

Yelp
The freshly made sandwiches were delicious, but the best part of the meal was dessert-- the incredible baked goods made in-house. We tried the rhubarb ginger cake and the frosted tea brack- both were outstanding!

Yelp
Driving from Dublin to Glendalough by car (it was our first day in Ireland) the Cafe saved us! We were starving and were very happy about this great homemade offer of delicious small meals and salad. As a dessert we also took one of these wonderful homemade flapjacks and bought travel provisions in the store. Perfect.

Yelp
We stopped here on our way to Glendalough from Dublin for coffee and a pastry. The coffee and pastry were good and it looked like they had bigger meals like sandwiches if you need that. They also had regular grocery supplies if you need anything like that.

Yelp
We stopped here for coffee on the afternoon of 3 September 2014. Great place to have coffee and ice cream. Did I mention the coffee? It was delicious and the best I had as I travelled throughout Wicklow County. Lovely place for a sandwich and soup lunch. You could find everything you need for a snack or a full picnic lunch to take away. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Popular with local residents, cyclists and hikers.

Yelp
We had a great lunch here after hiking in Glendalough. The server prepared it to our specs with fresh bread, real meat (not processed deli slices) and fresh toppings. Not a huge sando, but good for the 5€ cost. The lemon cake was great. The other people eating soup all looked happy.
