Glendine Inn

Really good breakfast, great parking, good location far enough out of town, but still close enough to walk. Rooms and staff were nice. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was we were disappointed when we came back from town one evening with pizza and were told we could not sit inside the pub area and eat it because (Unknown to us) they served pizza. Was quite disappointed that as guests of the inn we weren't able to sit in the pub area as a family (all legal age) and enjoy our pizza together. They did allow us to sit in the outside smoking patio, which would have been fine had it been a bit warmer outside.

Our stay was ok, but…… the room was small (ok for one night), and was very noisy from the traffic right outside our window. Food was no more than mediocre - particularly the breakfast. The toast for the cooked breakfast was soggy, the “continental” breakfast was just cereal, yoghurt and white toast. The coffee was served in a dirty cup. |The staff were friendly and helpful - except at breakfast when we felt they really couldn’t be bothered!

A Hidden Gem in Kilkenny! I had an amazing stay at the Glendine Inn. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a charming old-world character that adds to its appeal. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. My room was clean, cozy, and comfortable — exactly what I needed after a long day exploring Kilkenny. The bar downstairs has great local vibes and serves up a good pint too! Great value for money and just a short walk from the city centre. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a genuine Irish experience.

We had lunch there today and the food was horrible. The chips were raw and old, just reheated. The "fresh cod" looked more like a fish finger and the service was below any standard ( The lady who was making the coffee and served us could sour milk). For 16.90 EUR I would have expected at least decent chips...The only edible thing were the chicken coujons. We would not return.

Fabulous food, fantastic staff. Recently had my son's communion meal booked and had a 10/10 experience. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Food was delicious

Stayed here with a group of friends for a weekend, delighted with all aspects of it. Clean and comfortable rooms, great breakfast and coffee, and a laid-back bar atmosphere which was a perfect for some pints and food.

Had quick lunch here on a friends recommendation and the veg soup was really lovely! Pipping hot and served with choice of roll or brown bread, plenty of seating in the bar!
