Glenelg Golf Club

4.5 stars ⭐️ What a great course and club! The newly renovated track is in tip-top condition. The layout offers a great mix of challenges and makes use of every club in your bag. The greens are a new specialised 50/50 blend of Mackenzie and Dominant Extreme bentgrass and roll true and consistently. The fairways are like carpet, and the rest of the course is kept in excellent order and very well maintained. The clubhouse sits up high with a fantastic outlook over the 1st and 18th holes, as well as the comprehensive practice range. The pro shop staff were very friendly and helpful. A must play highly recommended. I wasn’t paid or asked to write this review; I just had a great day and wanted to share so you can too.

Very enjoyable course after completing it's long term renovation. This will be an even better course to play in years to come. Meals at the clubhouse were great. Delicious seafood platters & rib-eye combo went down well after our round.

I have been to the Glenelg Golf Club on three occasions for events. Today was a Wedding. The ceremony was supposed to be outdoors in the park like surrounds. However it was moved into a wide veranda space. It poured with rain during the ceremony but the Celebrants got on with the task at hand supported by those of us - family & friends, to make it a very happy occasion. The reception prior to dinner with drinks and canapés was nice with attentive and friendly staff who took time to explain what food was being offered and made sure our needs were met. The dinner was beautiful with alternate drop dishes that were both tasty and well presented. The venue was spacious and the views over the golf course and distant Adelaide Hills shrouded in mist and rain was relaxing. Access to the venue is excellent with a covered entrance and plenty of nearby parking. There are steps but wheelchair access is available.

Steak was VERY dry and inedible. Carrots were rock hard. Zucchini entree was ok. Chocolate lava cake was very nice.

A well maintained golf course. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Clubrooms are quite large and could hold up to 200 if you wish to hold a conference or wedding. Lovely views from the balcony. There is Wheelchair access ♿ and parking available.

A lovely venue to work at with my photo booth. Beautiful set up and the waitressing staff are so friendly. Also, their food was absolutely delicious, so big compliments to the chef. Very accommodating with dietary requirements too. Highly recommend to any couple considering the GGC as their wedding venue or dining in general.

I played as a visitor of a reciprocal club from Melbourne. Glenelg was super friendly/welcoming place where everyone seemed to want to say hello to me. Enjoyed the course experience and the beers at the end.

Excellent venue and bar and Bistro. Very impressed by staff.

Set amid verdant greens dotted with sand bunkers and water hazards, is a well kept secret. Glenelg Golf Club is first a golf club for its paying members, but it also welcomes the public to its bar and restaurants. We visited for Friday lunch watching the pros go round as we ate well cooked and presented steaks, which were priced fairly and cooked to order. Washed down with quality wine from an extensive wine list, it was a pleasant day hidden away from the rat race outside the gates. It has recently won awards as a wedding and function venue, worth a visit.
