Glenelg Golf Club

Steak was VERY dry and inedible. Carrots were rock hard. Zucchini entree was ok. Chocolate lava cake was very nice.

Excellent venue and bar and Bistro. Very impressed by staff.

We recently held our wedding reception at Glenelg Golf Club, and it was an incredible night that was very well organised. From the moment we arrived, everything was beautifully laid out from the plans we had arranged with our event manager. The room and setting was perfectly customized to suit our special day. With a stunning dining room, menu and dance floor layout, and soft lighting, it created the perfect atmosphere we wanted for ourselves and guests. The event team was great and helpful, and the hospitality staff were attentive. We would love to return for future events and will highly recommend.

Ran a workshop here on behalf of a client, just wanted to say thanks to Zoe who handled all of the logistics and coffee orders (no easy task with 20 people) with ease. Makes the day so much easier when things are on time.

A well maintained golf course. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Clubrooms are quite large and could hold up to 200 if you wish to hold a conference or wedding. Lovely views from the balcony. There is Wheelchair access ♿ and parking available.

I played as a visitor of a reciprocal club from Melbourne. Glenelg was super friendly/welcoming place where everyone seemed to want to say hello to me. Enjoyed the course experience and the beers at the end.

A lovely venue to work at with my photo booth. Beautiful set up and the waitressing staff are so friendly. Also, their food was absolutely delicious, so big compliments to the chef. Very accommodating with dietary requirements too. Highly recommend to any couple considering the GGC as their wedding venue or dining in general.

Quick ramble // Glenelg golf course was a ripper joint! When we rocked up old mate in the car park said gday and welcome to the club, great culture by the members! Pro shop staff were genuine good blokes, not up em selves like you get at some prestige clubs. Unreal beef sanga and the macadamia choc cookie was 10/10. Course was tough but mint condition. Layout was a bit dicey with tee boxes right next to greens but didn’t get sconed by a ball coz of the quick reflexes so all good. They just built a grouse under ground dunny on the course that wasn’t open but the Marshall let me sneak in for a looksy. Practice area was mint BUT Driving range ya can’t hit driver so couldn’t practice me slice. Brought 3 balls, lost 3 balls, found 2 balls so pretty good ratio. Drinks cart had suntorys and golf carts had speakers so all up she’s top notch! Only downfall $350 for the round was up there but our mate Wally done his back on the first and they gave him a refund so that gets my vote for a top club!

Set amid verdant greens dotted with sand bunkers and water hazards, is a well kept secret. Glenelg Golf Club is first a golf club for its paying members, but it also welcomes the public to its bar and restaurants. We visited for Friday lunch watching the pros go round as we ate well cooked and presented steaks, which were priced fairly and cooked to order. Washed down with quality wine from an extensive wine list, it was a pleasant day hidden away from the rat race outside the gates. It has recently won awards as a wedding and function venue, worth a visit.
