Amazing! A real treat - this pub and its chefs have won multiple awards with good reason! This is a proper pub with a real fire, nice ambience, great selection of beers, great staff serving delicious food! Nicely positioned too! About 5 minutes drive from the Glenelg Ferry to Skye. We shared a light lunch and it was very flavoursome. I can highly recommend this Inn – which also offers accommodation.

Review is for the pub and meal not the rooms. The pub is in a lovely spot with great views from the patio. The service was warm, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere in the pub is welcoming. A group of 3 plus dog went for an evening meal. The food was great...well cooked, well presented and really tasty. Have already booked to go back. Would highly recommend .

We had dinner at the restaurant as this is the only 1 available in Glenelg. Cozy and warm, not too many seats are available as there is only 1 server. The Sunday. Senin roast was ok. Only the carrots, they weee salty. Apparently it’s the chef style. The Hake was good too. Sticky toffee seems like just a fresh out of the microwave. Overall, it’s good experience

We had dinner at the restaurant of the Glenelg Inn. The place was fully booked on this late October evening, and we were fortunate to have made an advance reservation—on the recommendation of my B&B host, who mentioned that the restaurant is usually very busy. We ordered the roasted venison and the pan-seared hake. The venison was beautifully prepared—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. However, the accompanying carrots were overly salty and less enjoyable. The hake was served with a rich Cullen skink sauce, though its smoky flavor was quite pronounced. The service was excellent: the staff were attentive, checked in with us during the meal, and promptly cleared our table once we had finished. We ended with a sticky toffee pudding, which was absolutely delicious.

This is our absolute favourite place to stay in Scotland, and we live in the Highlands!. Glenelg itself is magical and we’ve been visiting for twenty years but usually camped nearby and just ate in the hotel. This time we stayed for two nights and can’t wait to go again. Exceptionally friendly and down to earth staff and lovely locals just make the place. The outstanding food is a huge bonus. Can’t wait to go back. An overused phrase but this really is a hidden gem.

Booked a table for dinner as we were staying by Loch Duich and had seen signs for the inn as we passed to catch the ferry. Happily accommodated our two dogs too. Delicious, unique and thoughtful food and friendly service! The main bar area was bustling and we would have loved to have sat in there but the more peaceful side room was also lovely and actually better for us with the dogs so all worked perfectly. If we were in the area again we would definitely return!

Stayed here for two nights in mid June, my fathering in law has stayed many times before. It’s my first visit, but won’t be my last, fantastic inn with exceptional food / drink / rooms and especially service. ||It has exactly the right atmosphere of locals and people on holiday. Great food we stayed here two nights and stayed in 4 different rooms each, all superbly decorated and appointed . ||Shelia and her team do an incredible job of looking after everyone, there is a real focus on hospitality here. ||It is off the beaten track (part of its charm) superbly located for trips to the Isle of Skye and the Glenelg ferry is a must. ||Make sure you book in advance as it’s always busy (rightly so) especially for dinner. ||Loved my visit here and will 100% be back very soon. The whole place, atmosphere, food and service was fantastic.

Glenelg Inn is a great place to have lunch. Our fish and chips were great, lovely crispy batter on a nice haddock fillet. Service was great and the local Dun Brewing IPA was very nice.

Yelp
Just had one of my favorite meals of our trip. Spicy carrot soup starter, roast venison w all the trimmings, bread pudding with ginger ice cream dessert. Super tasty, very quaint restaurant, fast service. Have to pay at the bar and awkward splitting the check but best meal of the week in Scotland.

Yelp
This charming and cozy place is situated in a magical part of Scotland. After a really long drive late into the rainy evening, my partner and I came by this place. Their kitchen was just about closed, and a lot of food was already sold out completely. They managed to prepare some sandwiches for us, which was really kind as we were starving and everything else was closed. It was the perfect end to a rainy and chilly drive in the dark evening. We returned the following day for a proper dinner. This time we had a delicious meal, with good ale, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious. I think the atmosphere of this warm inn amidst the wild and roaring space deserves some merit as well. The establishment itself has this cozy, communal, and quite bustling atmosphere, which everyone seems to gravitate to in such a mystical and sleepy place. Outside, there's this beautiful, ancient, raw nature, that's so dormant and old, that feels so past civilization and humans, and then you enter this place and reacquaint yourself with people and interaction once again, in a communal, close-knit space. I loved it. I'd really recommend for anyone to just visit the area, walk around, feel its old, natural, and magnificent power, and then stop for a delicious and hearty meal here after. You definitely won't regret it. Try to get there not too late, however, or you might end up with no meal like we almost did!

Yelp
Dealing very well with Covid restrictions the restaurant here is still providing great meals (I had excellent duck when we were in for dinner earlier in July) and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The bar has a good range of spirits and beers, including locally produced ales which went down very well.

Yelp
The fish and chips I had here were the best I'd had anywhere for a couple of years. The locally-sourced fish (I guess it helps to be on the coast!) was perfectly cooked, simply melting in the mouth. The chips were chunky and in a generous portion. And at £11, similar to London prices but with much better quality. Memorable. The interior of the Inn is cosy and warm, heated by a coal fire. The bar had three Caledonian ales on tap, a few standard lagers, some spirits and possibly some wine too. The staff were friendly and service prompt. It is excellently located too, with views looking over the Isle of Skye.

Yelp
The Glenelg ferry is simply one of the most charming and scenic ways to get on to Skye. But that's far from the only reason to visit the village this pub is also a major draw (as is an excellent B&B). This picturesque pub nestled in the bay delivers modern pub cooking at its finest and smartest. Local ingredients (meat and fish eaters will do spectacularly well here judging by the plates we saw going past, but veggies like me do just fine too), cooked simply and brilliantly the menu isn't over-prissy with its food, but nor is it afraid of modern cooking techniques or flavour combinations. Flavourful, hearty and surprising. And all served by friendly staff in attractive surroundings. Plus, The Glenelg Inn has the honour of having produced simply the finest chocolate tart I've ever eaten in my life (that has included many, many chocolate tarts).

Yelp
The Glenelg Inn was a highlight of our trip to Glenelg and Skye. We were staying in Glenelg, so it was convenient, but were it not also delicious, we would have made the effort to eat elsewhere. Instead, we made the effort to be back from our adventures in time to eat here 3 nights in a row. The menu changes nightly with some holdovers from the night before. Nearly everything we tried was remarkable. Great whisky, wine and beer menus. It really is a place to try if you're in the area.
