Stayed here for two nights in mid June, my fathering in law has stayed many times before. It’s my first visit, but won’t be my last, fantastic inn with exceptional food / drink / rooms and especially service. ||It has exactly the right atmosphere of locals and people on holiday. Great food we stayed here two nights and stayed in 4 different rooms each, all superbly decorated and appointed . ||Shelia and her team do an incredible job of looking after everyone, there is a real focus on hospitality here. ||It is off the beaten track (part of its charm) superbly located for trips to the Isle of Skye and the Glenelg ferry is a must. ||Make sure you book in advance as it’s always busy (rightly so) especially for dinner. ||Loved my visit here and will 100% be back very soon. The whole place, atmosphere, food and service was fantastic.

Wonderful Scottish pub near the ferry to Isle of Skye. Most hospitable staff — both Isaac and their bartender super courteous. Fish & chips excellent. We debated about the detour off the main road. So happy we made the decision. And we made up for time by taking the ferry.

Very friendly & hospitable pub with a cozy fire & snug fireplace area for cold weather and a lovely back patio with views of the Kyle Rhea in warmer weather. Food & drink was excellent. Didn't stay overnight, but the location is lovely. We were "stranded" here in the pub for a few hours while the good folks of the Glenelg Ferry helped us get a flat tire fixed & were personally given rides to the inn by the ferry manager & back to the ferry from the Inn's owner.

Highly recommend! Such a beautiful setting, great place to stay with both family and friends, the kids loved it. A very welcoming, relaxed and cosy pub, as well as a great beer garden which we were lucky enough to enjoy in the sunshine over the weekend. Both the food and service were brilliant, very spacious room which was perfect for our family of 4, the beds were comfortable and nice interiors. Will definitely be back, thank you to Sheila and the team!

Stopped off for lunch whilst working and was very pleasantly surprised at the vegan options on the menu. There were several delicious sounding choices and I went for the falafel and quinoa salad which was amazing. So fresh and full of flavour. The chips were also very good. The garden is beautiful if visiting on a nice day, with fab views. Inside the pub there is a fireplace and I imagine it would be really cosy inside on a not so nice day.

Stayed as a group of 6 for three nights. Had a fab time. Location of course but complimented by good food, service and hospitality. We stayed here 26 years ago as part of our honeymoon. Our friends on this trip visiting for the first time, were captured by its magical location . Stick it on your bucket list 😉

Our third trip to the Glenelg Inn and it did not disappoint. The magical thing about the pub is that you are made to feel like a local as soon as you step in the door. Friendly staff, warm atmosphere and everything a Scottish pub should be. The food as always was excellent and the sunny beer garden just elevated everything to a different level. The addition of chocolate ice cream was very welcomed by our 3 year old. Can't wait to return!!

The most accommodating Inn with the best view. Food and service were fantastic. Can’t wait to take another trip back. Visited with a group of friends and we all had a wonderful experience. Very clean rooms. Would highly recommend the fresh langoustine!

Yelp
Just had one of my favorite meals of our trip. Spicy carrot soup starter, roast venison w all the trimmings, bread pudding with ginger ice cream dessert. Super tasty, very quaint restaurant, fast service. Have to pay at the bar and awkward splitting the check but best meal of the week in Scotland.

Yelp
This charming and cozy place is situated in a magical part of Scotland. After a really long drive late into the rainy evening, my partner and I came by this place. Their kitchen was just about closed, and a lot of food was already sold out completely. They managed to prepare some sandwiches for us, which was really kind as we were starving and everything else was closed. It was the perfect end to a rainy and chilly drive in the dark evening. We returned the following day for a proper dinner. This time we had a delicious meal, with good ale, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious. I think the atmosphere of this warm inn amidst the wild and roaring space deserves some merit as well. The establishment itself has this cozy, communal, and quite bustling atmosphere, which everyone seems to gravitate to in such a mystical and sleepy place. Outside, there's this beautiful, ancient, raw nature, that's so dormant and old, that feels so past civilization and humans, and then you enter this place and reacquaint yourself with people and interaction once again, in a communal, close-knit space. I loved it. I'd really recommend for anyone to just visit the area, walk around, feel its old, natural, and magnificent power, and then stop for a delicious and hearty meal here after. You definitely won't regret it. Try to get there not too late, however, or you might end up with no meal like we almost did!

Yelp
Dealing very well with Covid restrictions the restaurant here is still providing great meals (I had excellent duck when we were in for dinner earlier in July) and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The bar has a good range of spirits and beers, including locally produced ales which went down very well.

Yelp
The fish and chips I had here were the best I'd had anywhere for a couple of years. The locally-sourced fish (I guess it helps to be on the coast!) was perfectly cooked, simply melting in the mouth. The chips were chunky and in a generous portion. And at £11, similar to London prices but with much better quality. Memorable. The interior of the Inn is cosy and warm, heated by a coal fire. The bar had three Caledonian ales on tap, a few standard lagers, some spirits and possibly some wine too. The staff were friendly and service prompt. It is excellently located too, with views looking over the Isle of Skye.

Yelp
Amazing food, menu changes every night. Always something for everyone! Great prices for ale. Friendly staff, went for live music one night it was a great time. Good band and not too loud... just right. Super cozy and welcoming.

Yelp
The Glenelg ferry is simply one of the most charming and scenic ways to get on to Skye. But that's far from the only reason to visit the village this pub is also a major draw (as is an excellent B&B). This picturesque pub nestled in the bay delivers modern pub cooking at its finest and smartest. Local ingredients (meat and fish eaters will do spectacularly well here judging by the plates we saw going past, but veggies like me do just fine too), cooked simply and brilliantly the menu isn't over-prissy with its food, but nor is it afraid of modern cooking techniques or flavour combinations. Flavourful, hearty and surprising. And all served by friendly staff in attractive surroundings. Plus, The Glenelg Inn has the honour of having produced simply the finest chocolate tart I've ever eaten in my life (that has included many, many chocolate tarts).

Yelp
The Glenelg Inn was a highlight of our trip to Glenelg and Skye. We were staying in Glenelg, so it was convenient, but were it not also delicious, we would have made the effort to eat elsewhere. Instead, we made the effort to be back from our adventures in time to eat here 3 nights in a row. The menu changes nightly with some holdovers from the night before. Nearly everything we tried was remarkable. Great whisky, wine and beer menus. It really is a place to try if you're in the area.
