Glenelg Motel

This is a great little motel. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfortable with crisp clean linen. Ample in room storage space and all the required amenities. The pool and spa are beautifully kept. The included breakfast was delicious. The security measures the hotel takes made us feel very secure and you couldn’t get a better location; Close to everything. Customer service is excellent and a friendly welcome awaits. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Second time we've stayed. Daughter loves the pool. Rooms are older but very clean and spacious. Secured on site free parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Even returned my little earbud from my headphones I had left behind. Great location with a short walk to Jetty Road/ tram station.

Not the best accommodation in Glenelg. I would rather spend the extra to get better service, better rooms and better facilities.

We are country people and are not fussy types re accommodation as long as it is clean and comfortable BUT --- we booked a deluxe room for three people for two nights and then extended it to four nights. Upon arrival it appeared my credit card had not been processed for payment so I tapped again only to find out the next day it had been declined due to card error, easy fix. We had difficulty getting the key in the door lock then had to shoulder to door open re jamming at the top. The carpet looked like it was overdue for a clean the shower door wouldn't stay shut, the exhaust fan didn't work and was filthy dirty, the toilet roll holder was flopping loose, there was no towels etc for the third person, only two glasses but the beds were clean and comfortable except for the cockroach under the pillow and behind the door along with the large black ants in the bathroom and the mosquito flying around. There was a gap under the peeling front door high enough that even a mouse or a snake could have got in. Some of our concerns were passed on to the office staff and we were assured the manager would come and see us but that didn't happen. The motel is in a very convenient spot to the beach and could do with a good tidy up as it is quite outdated. My wife and I have a history in catering, maintenance and management and I'm sorry but it doesn't deserve 4 stars. Won't be back.

Quiet place with gates that lock up at night. You park up at your room. Decent place but I won't return since the toom had a odd (neither pleasant nor unpleasant but an old smell) smell. Drinking water and tissues weren't provided. 2 powerpoints situated far from the beds. Dated rooms, I reckon the furnishings are as old as I am.

Don't waste your money going here horribly overpriced not what they show on web site booking. Com was cheaper than walk in cost. Average rooms, don't rely on them to book taxi next day they don't bother... 2 stars at best

Haven't been here for years. Same high standard of cleanliness. Staff friendly and informative. Family room for Saturday night. Great price for location. Plenty of on-site gated parking and Tod St behind the motel has plenty of street parks for visitors. While everything is intact and functional, the rooms are a bit dark and dated. The pool is so clean & inviting.

The rooms are getting a bit dated but are still comfortable. Great location with easy walking distance to pub, dinner options and the tram to get to the city. Cooked or continental breakfast was available and was good value. The parking is locked at night with fob card access after hours.
