We booked Glenella for our extended family to stay during our wedding weekend. We were very fortunate that Glenella could accommodate so many guests (30 guests)! Margaret our host stepped by to say hi! The hosts are super sweet, accomodating and the loveliest people. The accomodation is very grand yet homey - plenty of amenities like the industrial size kitchen, ensuites, bathrooms and lounge areas that could accommodate either the whole group or smaller break out groups. We had no issues getting catering delivered to the venue for lunch and walk over to a nearby pub for dinner. We highly recommend the location as it really made planning and logistics easier. Thanks again for hosting us! Terence & Tiffany

Wow, what a beautiful place to stay! My partner, brother and I stayed for the UTA weekend. We were warmly welcomed by Margaret and shared lovely chats with her and fellow guests. Everything is well thought out with fantastic amenities and selection of armchairs with little nooks and crannies to relax with a book or share a meal. Highly recommended. We would love to stay again!

The most amazing place to stay while in the blue mountains. The host is such a lovely woman. She makes you feel right at home. The guesthouse is super cozy with games, a fireplace and plenty of spots to sit and relax. The amenities are clean. The kitchen is very well equiped and large. We kept extending our stay because it was so great!

Glenella is an absolute gem of a place, the owners are fantastic and the property is exactly as described, if not better. Amenities are amazing, love the heated rooms, relaxing areas, kitchen is very well equipped... the list goes on and on. We would definitely stay again.

This little gem in the heart of the Blue Mountains is not one to be missed. The hosts at Glenella have retained all of its old world charm by decorating it throughout with antiques, period furniture and memorabilia. As you enter the spacious front parlour you are welcomed by the genteel English hostess who seems to blend perfectly into place. She is a font of knowledge about Blackheath and surrounds and will gladly provide you with suggestions of things to do while you are staying there. After a quick tour of the guesthouse you will be introduced to your room and any other amenities you may require to enjoy your stay. The bed was comfortable and we slept well in spite of the creaking floorboards. The bathroom was suitably old fashioned, but clean and, although the plumbing took a little while to get into action, the water was hot and plentiful. You are encouraged to use the kitchen facilities to prepare your own meals or choose from a number of excellent cafes and restaurants which are a short walk from guesthouse. Altogether a delightful stay that made us feel like we had briefly gone back in time.

I had an unplanned stay at Glenella for one night. Stayed in a double room on the bottom levelof the building. Room was small but was all I needed. Bed was super comfy and warm with high quality crisp sheets and quilt. The bathroom is shared with other rooms on the bottom level. It was large and spacious. The bathroom was very clean, stylish and stocked with additional towels. Rowan and Magerite were lovely. On arrival I was given a tour of the entire building. I have found my winters mountain retreat. Will definitely return and recommend to others.

Nice location and wonderful premises. This 100 years old guest house made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Large common spaces, lounge, sofas cosy and comfortable. Our room with 2 single beds was small though, with a private bathroom. No television, but a lovely fireplace in the lounge to warm up and social with others. Thanks Margaret to make us feel welcomed 😊

Yelp
Very homely, comfortable and Kate is a lovely host! Lovely Thai restaurant in house, which was a god-send because it was raining cats and dogs outside! Food was 10 out of 10. Breakfast was included in the rate with a full country home cooked breakfast with local sourced ingredients. Kate was lovely and catered for my partner who is a vegan. Amazing espresso coffee with brekky too. Rooms very comfortable and pretty. Lovely communal area with games, a tv and piano (a very talented guest was playing when I got in last night). Lovely vibe in the place. Would definitely stay here again.
