The owners were lovely. The B &B was a working cottage. The room was lovely, a bit like staying in your favourite Aunty’s house. Comfy bed, nice bathroom. We really appreciated the comfort of this B & B. |The breakfast was continental due to Covid restrictions and was very good. |Would definitely stay again and recommend

We enjoyed our stat at Glengolly. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. The room wasn't modern but was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We stayed in the twin room that had it's own bathroom on the floor below. The breakfast was outstanding and a highlight of our Scottish trip!

We were received really friendly by Martin, even though we were a bit earlier than check-in time. It was a great experience with a soft bed, a warm room, a great sleep and in the morning an amazing breakfast. Our room had a great view and was only a small walk from the center, so everything was nearby. The list with “to do’s in Durness” was a great addition aswel.

We have recently returned home having again spent a very enjoyable time with Mary and Martin. As this was our 20th 'annual visit' starting in 1995 you can believe that Glengolly is a favourite B&B for us. We have always been well looked after nothing is too much trouble for them. The accommodation and breakfast are first class (especially the whisky porridge!). Mary and Martin are very active members of their lively community and can advise the best ways to thoroughly appreciate this remote and beautiful area.

Stayed for one night with friends. Breakfast was good and the double room that our friends stayed in had been updated and was clean. However, we were in the family room at the front of the house. This room not only needs some serious updating but the carpet was badly stained in areas, the crocheted covers on the furniture had old food crumbs and stains on them and the bathroom was unclean. Seeing hairs in the bath and having to clean the toilet with antibacterial hand wipes before use was not whatI had expected from reading reviews before our booking. Also there was no hairdryer in the room which meant that I was unable to wash my hair until I reached our next B andB on the route.

Like many others this was a stop on our North Coast 500 tour. Our room was clean, with nice owners and a good breakfast. Our room was up the narrow stairs and i would recommend to have a day bag ready when visiting||We eat dinner at the recommended local restaurant; Meet and Eat, which was very good and we found the on site parking useful. ||Please check out the endless sandy beach nearby and finally we did pay a deposit by cheque which is unusual nowadays, but paid the remainder by card on departure as there is no cash point in the village.

I would recommand, the host is welcoming, the house is extremely clean, you won't find a speck of dust. The beds are super comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. Besides, the decoration is funny and very typical ! And Durness is one of the most, if not the most, beautiful place in Scotland.

Stayed for one night while doing the NC500. As a group of 5 we had struggled to find a B and B with three empty rooms in August and just spotted a webpage for Glengolly and booked it. We weren’t disappointed, rooms were lovely and I had the best nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious and it was a shame I didn’t have more time to spend there in such a beautiful location.
