We went as a family and close friends to celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary. Some camped in the next door field and others stayed in the hotel. We had an evening meal and breakfast. The hotel was spotless. The staff were accommodating over our dogs and breakfast for the campers. The evening meal was a high standard and we were able to linger.

Lovely little hotel, team are so helpful and friendly, cannot do enough for you. The food is tasty and there is a good variety of choice. Warm and welcoming in the bar with great craic and good whisky. We stayed in a room on the ground floor and the walls are a little on the thin side so it's good to be mindful of other guests.

Sept-25 - Visited for food twice during our week stay in the area, having eaten here the previous year. Staff are friendly and helpful, the food is wonderful. For me, I really enjoyed the Cullen Skink and a perfectly cooked steak, although when accompanied by a steak sauce (the Whiskey Sauce is sublime!) would prefer a plate to a wood board. Hubby's pick of the meals were the Haggis Bonbons and Stalker Pie. Great choice of drinks to accompany too. Generally the place is well kept, clean and welcoming.

We stayed here 10/7 for 1 night. We came from Oban & we were en-route to Balmoral, which is just less than an hour away. The hotel is in a beautiful location & we found it easily - well signposted. We went for a walk - there is a church & great bridge over a ‘babbling brook’ dated 1824 you can cross. It wobbles a bit! ||We had told the hotel we would be arriving early evening & they arranged to leave the key to our room on the table in the foyer. FYI this area also has a fridge, games/toys, safes. We didn’t have our evening meal there. ||The room was perfect. Lovely bathroom & shower. There are recycling boxes outside the room which I thought was a great idea. Light & airy, which I have to have. ||There are a couple of breakfast items in your room, but a larger choice downstairs. You serve yourself, but it’s nicely organised. ||There are tables outside should you wish to take advantage - we did as we were blessed with good weather. ||Would definitely return & recommend.

Fantastic little hotel for my trip. Due to the remoteness of the Scottish Highlands hotels facilities can vary. This was excellent for the cost. Comfy room, very friendly staff and good food. The day breakfast was good to set me up for the day.

It's a lovely, cosy hotel — the classic British 'pub-restaurant-hotel' combination. It has very good rooms and food, and the staff are kind and helpful. The location is perfect for a short stay and for walking in nature. Far from civilisation, it's a piece of heaven on earth.

Came from London to Scotland for a family reunion weekend. My mother-in-law booked myself and partner into the Glenisla. The location was lovely and hotel quaint. After a day celebrating a taxi collected us at 11pm and took us back to the hotel. In our room we were happy and maybe under a few drinks and called my daughter in London to tell them about our day. Due to the poor reception with being so remote my phone was on speaker and I had to wander about our room for a reception. Suddenly there was banging on our bedroom door around 12.30 am (on the top floor) from the manager telling me to be quiet as he could hear my phone ring tone. 15 mins later he banged again saying he could hear me on the phone. 1.15 was my last conversation with my daughter (I took screenshots) and also called my mother-in-law who heard the whole conversation with him as he came and threatened to call the police as I was too loud. I ended up in tears and said my daughter was upset and needed to talk to me.on the phone. He didn’t care. Told us to leave next morning and would refund our 2 night stay. We didn’t get as far as our second night. Phoned my mother-in-law and said he asked us to leave because I was on the phone after 2am. Total lie as I can prove with my call log it was 1.15. My first ever time in Scotland and our first night was spent in tears. Thankfully the rest of the Scottish people were lovely enough to make up for the old would be laird of the manor who shouldn’t be running a hotel with an attitude like that

We had a wonderful time at the Glenisla Hotel. The check in and out was very efficient. The food was delicious and the breakfast choice extensive. Our room was quaint and clean, very quiet and with all necessary amenities.

Yelp
The restaurant and the hotel were wonderful. Very friendly staff :) We told them in advanced that we were vegan and they accommodate us by adding 6(!) menu options for dinner as well as a vegan breakfast. The room was modern, comfortable and very clean.
