We stayed here 10/7 for 1 night. We came from Oban & we were en-route to Balmoral, which is just less than an hour away. The hotel is in a beautiful location & we found it easily - well signposted. We went for a walk - there is a church & great bridge over a ‘babbling brook’ dated 1824 you can cross. It wobbles a bit! ||We had told the hotel we would be arriving early evening & they arranged to leave the key to our room on the table in the foyer. FYI this area also has a fridge, games/toys, safes. We didn’t have our evening meal there. ||The room was perfect. Lovely bathroom & shower. There are recycling boxes outside the room which I thought was a great idea. Light & airy, which I have to have. ||There are a couple of breakfast items in your room, but a larger choice downstairs. You serve yourself, but it’s nicely organised. ||There are tables outside should you wish to take advantage - we did as we were blessed with good weather. ||Would definitely return & recommend.

We had a great stay at the Glenisla Hotel. The room was fresh and clean. The bed was so comfortable and we had a really good nights sleep. The shower had good water pressure and toiletries. The breakfast snacks provided in the room were great and we also went down to the breakfast area in the restaurant to have cereal, toast and coffee. The staff were excellent. Ample car parking. I would thoroughly recommend a stay in the Glenisla Hotel.

The Glenisla Hotel is a lovely, quiet place in a great setting. We only stayed one night- but wished we had been able to stay longer. The arrangemebts for booking in for parking and for room access were all really convenient. The room was cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. Iy was a comfy bed too. We really liked having fresh milk to make tea( so few places provide this) and the range of breakfast options was perfect. We will definitely consider another stay here when we are next on the area.

Stayed in room 4 with husband and my twin sister and husband stayed in room 6 even though they have land and accommodation just up the road. We have travelled extensively both here and abroad and this was the cleanest room and breakfast/bar area we have had the pleasure to stay in. We also previously ran hotels. With this in mind because there is such an extensive variety for breakfast I would just put tea coffee and biscuits in room not breakfast stuff too. If staying for more than 1 night a small ironing board/iron on wall maybe to left of coat hanging area would be good. I know you can ask for that but its inconvenient. And also a bath mat as 2 larger towels and 2 smaller supplied - if you use for hair as well nothing to soak up after shower for floor. Shower pressure excellent. Would have liked orange juice for breakfast and marmalade only thing missing from extensive toppings for toast. Loved shabby chic bright beamed restaurant. We didn't eat in restaurant as considered rather expensive eg like £5 added to prices. I believe the food is outsourced from hotel. But menu looked lovely. Totally relaxed atmosphere here and so fantastic we will be back. Excellent value for money for room and breakfast.

Lovely 500years old building. The whole village is visiting the bar in the hotel so you will hear a lot of storys and get some tipps for hiking. Lovely place 2 be. The breakfast is there but u have to make by your own. Lunch & dinner is local and very good.

This hotel is a lovely pitstop if you are touring/walking/cycling in the area. The rooms are very reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. However, the hotel only serves food a few days a week. Around these times, you can use the dining room to picnic. Breakfast consists of instant porridge, toast, cereal and fruit. It felt a little odd to be let loose in a hotel but it was OK. Overall, a good stay.

We stay at Glenisla a couple of times a year and always make a point of dining and drinking at the hotel. Fabulous food, fantastic service and the owners are lovely. Would recommend to all as they are VERY dog friendly as we have an 8 month old viszla in training and they are very laid back fortunately. Had an anniversary meal which was outstanding with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco from the hotel. Special mention to Michelle and Sally who can’t do enough for you. Xxxxx

This Hotel is a wee Gem in a beautiful part of the world. We were staying just up the road so came in for drinks, lunch and dinner at various times across our stay. The staff are excellent, the welcome is warm, the food is lovely and the beer is cold…what more can you ask for!! Not many places would be so welcoming and accommodating to an 8 month old puppy, but they couldn’t do enough to make us welcome. We will be back, and hopefully very soon.

Yelp
The restaurant and the hotel were wonderful. Very friendly staff :) We told them in advanced that we were vegan and they accommodate us by adding 6(!) menu options for dinner as well as a vegan breakfast. The room was modern, comfortable and very clean.
