Glenmore Lodge

An incredible experience on the intro to winter skills course. Great food at the lodge, friendly and helpful staff, and exceptional kit to hire. The guide was fantastic and we learned so much safely even when the weather was challenging to say the least. Highly recommend.

We stayed three nights as bnb guests and we loved it! Glenmore lodge is perfectly located in the Cairngorm mountains so you can start hiking right from the doorstep. The rooms are comfy and spacious. It’s a training centre, so you come across other guests who are taking a course there during meals. Dinner is optional, +£22, highly recommended if you don’t feel like eating out after a long hike. What I loved most about Glenmore lodge was the accessibility of it all. From the starter-level courses over to glutenfree meal options to the fully wheelchair accessible building, it feels like they’ve thought of everything. If you like the outdoors and great sense of community, that’s the place to go.

It’s been a while but enjoyed my stay some years ago, looks like it still offers a great set of products; courses and accommodation.

Amazing venue with top facilities. The food is great as well . Highly recommend for anyone into the outdoors.

Booked the 5 day trip to Skye Cuillin from 6 May. Easily the best ever mountain days I've ever had. Managed to walk all 5 days and bagged 9 Munros on the ridge. The team from the Lodge were amazing. They looked after us so well and we could relax and really enjoy walking these spectacular mountains. In particular, they managed a difficult weather window so we achieved something those days. My confidence has increased so much with the knowledge I've gain during the week. Feel I could write a book on my praise for the Lodge team. The day to the Northern 3 Munros and doing In Pinn on final day, in clear weather, the highlights. Knew this would be a good week, but the Lodge team delivered something I could never have imagined. Will be looking to book more trips in future with Glenmore Lodge - what a fantastic company.

Did the 5 day intro to White Water Kayaking here with 0 prior experience and cannot recommend it enough. Fantastic rooms, service, catering, all round. The instructor, George Fell, was easily one of the cheeriest and most knowledgeable instructors I've ever had. The only downside was how quickly the week went! Will definitely be coming back for more.

Been on three courses here now, and I keep coming back as it is always a great experience. World class coaching in incredible surroundings (and fantastic food to fuel you through it all). Most recently, our coach Emma was brilliant at introducing us to the fundamentals of mountain biking in an enjoyable and supported way :)

Fantastic centre offering great courses, all with excellent facilities to come back to after a day of activities; whether it be on the water, or up in the mountains in which the centre is situated below. The food is AMAZING, with course participants being provided with a whopping 4000 calories a day, guilt-free too, as you definitely work them off! Scheduling in time for tea and cake in the afternoon only adds to the experience. Definitely worth considering if you're looking to do any course in the Scottish outdoors!
