Beautiful boutique style hotel with very friendly staff and its in a great location. We have stayed here a few times now and will definitely be returning in the future. Its dog friendly and five minutes walk into the city centre right along the river. Ben who made our cocktails and cleared the snow is an outstanding member of the team as are the ladies serving breakfast which is very substantial and tastes lovely with a massive choice.

I participated in the 2025 Loch Ness marathon and chose this hotel due to proximity to the event village and also the anticipated level of comfort pre and post race. Despite booking nearly a year in advance I still paid upwards of £600 for a two night stay (not including breakfast). Whilst I appreciate accommodation is at a premium during marathon weekend and prices inflated as a result, I still feeling this represents extremely poor value for money. We were allocated a room in the annex directly above the function room. Upon checking in we were helpfully told an event would be taking place that night and hopefully there wouldn’t be “too much noise”. Had we been warned in advance I would have made alternative arrangements. Instead, we were forced to listen to thumping bass until 12 am. Even when the music subsided I found it really difficult to relax and drift off to sleep. Not ideal prep for running a marathon and frankly I felt my performance was impacted as a result, which is pretty crushing when you’ve trained for 16 weeks to achieve a specific time goal. Aside from the sleep disruption, the room was probably 3* at best and could definitely have used some modernisation, the bathroom was functional but basic. We ate in the restaurant one evening and whilst the food was very good, the overall atmosphere was pretty raucous with several large groups celebrating birthdays. To add - my husband complained about the noise the following day and the manager agreed to take some money off the bill. Whilst we appreciate the gesture I’d advise anyone looking for a restful night sleep to ensure they are not likely to encounter the same issues as we did. The hotel is used by a lot of tour groups so you may find they are allocated the better/quieter rooms, irrespective of when the booking is made.

We had a fantastic stay here this weekend. A beautiful room with a really comfortable bed, overlooking the river, fantastic drinks and cocktails and the friendliest helpful staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. Also the bar was really warm and welcoming which is a blessing in the cold weather. Ten out of ten 🤩

We stayed here on a travel tour and found it was a good location, and pretty comfortable room. Thank you for providing a fan --- the room was very room, and this allowed us to adjust for better sleeping. Very nice staff.|Note: the shower in our bathroom was very compact, so efficient but if you are tall or large (or not very flexible), it's something to be aware of.|Note: breakfast here is very good, especially the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs!

Just stayed at the Glenmoriston Toenhouse Hotel using an Itison Voucher in room 2 ie a Comfort Deluxe room and can only say our stay was brilliant. The room is very large with all the amenities you would expect. The staff were very welcoming and polite. The food in the restaurant was lovely with a great choice on the A la Carte. And the location is right by the River Ness. The newly refurbished Castle is 10 mins walk away as are the main shopping area.

I'm surprised to read someone else describe this hotel as a boutique hotel... I'm afraid it's far from that!|I was attending a show across the river at Eden Court, so chose this hotel specifically for it's proximity to the venue. |On arrival, I was informed my room was in the Windsor Suite, an annexe to the main hotel (room 23).|On entering the room I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. The wardrobe had sufficient hangers for me, but if a couple were staying any length of time, there wouldn't be enough. There was a long mirror on the inside of the wardrobe and a big mirror at the dressing table, which is great. However, no decent light around the mirror for applying make-up or hair styling purposes, and like most hotels nowadays, the lighting in the room in general is poor...a few table lamps, no central ceiling lamp or standard lamps. |I went into the bathroom and apart from a decent-sized shower cubicle, I was rather disappointed. It was freezing cold and felt damp. There was black mildew on the ceiling above the shower and elsewhere, the mirrored bathroom cabinet was old, rusty & disgusting inside, the heated towel rail was inadequately tiny, no use for drying the bath sheet and there was a strange camber on the floor, which meant you stood on a slight slope (I appreciate that nothing can be done structurally, but it felt weird!) I also discovered that a ceiling fan in the bathroom had been switched off - could explain the mildew - and used the suitcase stand to switch it on as it was too high to reach. |The following morning I found my towel was still damp from the night before (Is hung it over the shower cubicle) so ended up using a fresh one, which is wasteful but necessary. I also noticed the floor was still damp with condemnation from my shower the night before. |On the plus side, there are lovely soft, big bath sheets and I found the bed very comfortable. |I had dinner at the hotel but wasn't overly impressed with the menu. I opted for a chicken tikka salad served in a poppadum 'bowl'....very basic salad with chicken tikka pieces that looked like supermarket-bought. My main was a lamb curry with gnocchi (a bit bizarre). The lamb was very fatty so not much actual meat and the sauce with puy lentils was not to my taste. The other main course options didn't appeal to me. Breakfast was nothing special. The continental choices were basic. I had scrambled eggs with salmon, which was done to perfection, but there was just too much egg, so I couldn't finish it. I didn't bother with cereal etc|All in all, my stay was pleasant enough, the staff were friendly & welcoming, and I had a great night's sleep. However, room 23's bathroom needs updating, with a bit of maintenance re the damp issue, and a bigger more adequate towel rail. |Not sure I'd stay here again if I found myself requiring an overnight stay in Inverness.

Easy walk from the train station, very nice location, clean rooms, lovely atmosphere, great price... its a win all around. And an excellent breakfast. Blood pudding is honestly very delicious. Who would have thought?

The best hotel in Inverness. I fell in love with the old style decoration, beautiful cottages, our gorgeous room, every detail is cozy and stylish. The staff is super nice and helpful. Perfect location and views of the river Ness and the city. The restaurant serves amazing local food, perfect culinary experience. Live music in the piano bar, so cool. We will return for sure.
