The service was fast, and the people were friendly. One thing I want to touch on a little more is the cheese curds. They are hand breaded and spicy. They are likely the best cheese curds I have ever had in my entire life. I really liked the pretzel as well. Went on a Monday night a little after dinner rush around 8 for appetizers. Would recommend this place to anyone just based on the cheese curds.

What a TREAT! My husband and I were driving through to our home in Wichita, Kansas. The food was AMAZING! My husband a cheeseburger with sweet potato tots. I had the chipotle chicken pub tacos served with cilantro lime rice and black bean salad (this was one of my favorite meals of ALL time)!!! Our waiter, Max was great. Super friendly and accommodating! We chose to sit outside and had a great view of the train depot across the street. This is an ABSOLUTE must whether driving through or stopping for the night!

Went for a family dinner and were excited to try a couple of different beers they had on tap, both of the choices we had in mind were out. We ordered the kids chicken tenders and were very happy with those for our children, both were served on a frisby that they could use later if they wanted. My husband ordered the Game Time Bison Burger and felt it was just okay, similar to regular burger and not worth the extra cost. He upgraded his side to a salad for the additional $2 making his $24. I ordered the Peppered Cheese Steak for $20 and felt the meat was very tough and with the pepperjack cheese, blend of arugula, pickled red onion, cracked black pepper aioli I was not a fan of the combination. My husband wouldn't even eat it for leftovers as he said it was terrible. The french fries were excelent and my children loved them. We won't be returning as the twists on traditional brew food were not in line with what we like.

Google
I had an excellent Mediterranean salad, with perfectly done grilled chicken. I had the wheat beer which was bright and refreshing. I was able to sit near the open wall and enjoy the outside views and fresh air. Would return next time I'm in the area!

Google
Wonderful dining experience! I was recommended this place by multiple friends and they were not lying about how delicious the food is. We got the Game Time burger and the special of chicken fried steak with mushroom gravy. Those green beans and gravy were awesome! The house made root beer is also terrific. :)

Google
Exactly what we were looking for! Wanted to stop on our way to Aspen for some yummy bar food, beer, and to watch the nuggets. This was perfect. No wait for a table, great spot to watch the game, outstanding bar food and beer, and awesome service.

Google
The food was amazing and we always try to stop when we are in or drive through Glenwood Springs. BGreat selection and flavor not to mention the amount of food. The service was a little slow and server more e attentive to her friends in her section than being attentive to her section. We sat on patio first day and this day we sat inside. Worth going for sure.

3 widowed women on a 3 week cross Country roadtrip with no itinerary. We stopped in Glenwood Springs for a coulke nights to wind down from this incredible soul searching road trip. We found this little place and decided to give them a try. We are so glad we did. Everything from the ravioli, shrimp, fish and chicken were delicious! 2nd best meal on this entire trip and we haven't scimped on the places we chose.. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Great mix of American food. We tried the kids Mac and cheese, siracha wings, game time burger and the sweet potatoes with cinnamon butter. All were hit and I'd order again. I did substitute the angus burger for the bison just because I've noticed I always feel like bison is just a tad bit dry and tougher and I was very happy with the burger and the Angus patty. The Sriracha ones were a good mix of sweetness with a little bit of heat. I did feel like for being a brewery flight of drinks I had was just okay. Food wise I was very happy. The atmosphere was great and being right next to the hotel was nice to be able to see the atmosphere.

Yelp
We came here for a late lunch on a monday and got sat immediately. Our waitress was good, she gave us time to review the menu and gave great recommendations. Also we did not wait long to eat. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato tots. The sandwich was amazing, the coleslaw paired so well with the BBQ sauce and the pork was cooked perfectly. The sweet potato tots were nice and crispy! I was so happy with the food, it all tasted beyond amazing! I also ordered the mojito and I was disappointed the flavor and strength. It was very watered down and didn't have much flavor at all and was not strong. I would not order that again. Overall it was a great experience, amazing food and fast service.

Yelp
The brewpub founded in 1996 was built in Glenwood Springs in the historic Hotel Denver, which, since 1914 has had its own history of bottlers, bars and brews. They offer a variety of 10 diverse style beers brewed in-house along with wine, cocktails and ciders so something for everyone. The brewery has to be one of the cleanest I've ever seen (I've seen a whole lot, especially in Denver) and the food is delicious. The restaurant was busy on a Wednesday afternoon, they offer both indoor and outdoor seating and the service was excellent. I would absolutely recommend stopping in whether you're in town or simply passing through. You won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
Sports Bar/restaurant venue, with the sporty decor. Reasonably timely service. They serve typical common American/tex Mex comfort food, such as salads, burgers, tacos, nachos. Portions are enough for one hungry adult/teenager. The black bean-avocado burger was surprisingly tasty, my daughter didn't realize it was not meat! the taco plate was pretty good, not spectacular. The regular cheeseburger plate was good, juicy perfectly cooked meat, but again not spectacular. Overall, decent place if you're craving typical American foods.

Deanna C.

Yelp
Stopped by for a drink and some dinner. We got some cheese curds and french onion soup to pre-game our meal. Both were decent, nohing to write home about. Got the Mexican Lager, which was average. Naughty Root Beer, was really good. I really enjoyed my Harvest Salad, all the flavors worked really well together. We also got a Chili Bread Bowl, it was ok. I like my chili with a little more sauce, it was a little dry for my taste. Friendly staff and cool atmosphere.

Yelp
After a day at Glenwood Springs Resort. Looked for a well rated place that served burgers. Found Glenwood Canyon Brewpub. Over 3,000 reviews and a 4.5, wounded good to me. Due to the reviews I thought this place would have either great food or great service. Started off on the wrong foot, upon entering looked outside saw an open table. Ask the hostess to be seated outdoor to enjoy the weather. Her statement was if you can wait 15 minutes while we rotate. As this was per the manager. I said fine and we were seated in the back which had some seated tables. When a customer request something they should try and please within reason. As I sat down, I took a look at the menu and saw the notice of 3% added for the kitchen and brewing staff? So an extra fee, because of the lack of pay by the restaurant? Instead of adding a "fee" how about raising the prices and the staffs salary accordingly. As a business owner, I know this is a way to avoid taxes and help yourself out. Adding a fee is just plain out lazy and cheap. Ordered the beer cheese soup, which was delicious. Ordered two Angus beef burgers with cheese, one well done and the other medium. Both were well done. Mine was actually room temperature along with the fries. I asked for my fries to be replaced. The server was pleasant. As for the food goes, maybe the rating was location and staff? Due to Food and policies they earn a stiff 3 rating.

Yelp
This is a solid staple during my visits to the area. The food is great and very much a brew pub feel to the menu. I've sampled around and always end up back at the burgers. The beers are all well done. I tend to stick to their pilsners and west coast style ipas. The service staff is always friendly and hustles to make sure everyone is taken care of. The venue is convenient as it's right in the heart of the downtown area and also connected directly to a hotel. There are plenty of TVs with sports, not a bad music selection and even a nice patio if you want some fresh air.

Brandon B.

Yelp
Everything was pretty dang good! I got the Ruben and it was great. Shared the pork nachos, they were great. Two different salads for the ladies, they enjoyed them. Our server Nina was awesome as was the rest of the staff. Thanks for having us!

Jane P.

Yelp
We had some very tasty food and a delicious cozy boozy cider and it was a lovely meal except the loud pick me woman trying desperately to impress the losers she was with, which of course is no fault of the lovely establishment.

Jodi W.

Yelp
It's a brewpub. The food is elevated bar food. It was okay. Service was really good though. I liked the vibe of the place, but the in house beers didn't do it for hubby. I got their homemade rootbeer with vanilla vodka. It was good. I got the burger. For a burger it was good. There really isn't a lot to say either way about this place. It doesn't suck, but it's not the best avail in Glenwood.

Sarah G.

Yelp
Great service and good. Good place for families--they serve the kids meals on frisbee plates. Super fun.

Lori W.

Yelp
Very yummy spot for lunch or to grab a drink. I tried a strawberry blonde and loved it. For our appetizer we got the crab artichoke ale dip and it was so flavorful and you could really taste the crab. Then I got the beer cheese soup which was to die for. I can't wait to come back for it. For my entree I got the pub cheese steak which was pretty good along with sweet potato tots. My boyfriend got the fish and chips and enjoyed it. The service was great, our waitress was very nice and attentive. The ambiance was nice, they had sports playing on the tv and had the patio open.

David K.

Yelp
Went here on 7/23/24. First time here. Came around 1230. It was pretty busy but that seating area is huge! So many tables. They have beer and a full bar. Staff was very friendly! Got a turkey club, hamburger and gets hamburger. All food was really good. Then got peach cobbler for dessert. I had a few of their beers but the Red was really good. Great area. Decent sized patio. They package most of their beers too. Cheers!

Tasha L.

Yelp
The place always has good food and service but this time, the service was lacking. It look quite a bit for the waitress to come over to our table for our drink order and then it took some times to even get our drinks. Once we placed our food order, it all came out pretty quickly. The food was delicious and the drinks were great too

Steve M.

Yelp
Had dinner while in the Springs. Sat outside on the deck which was nice. The service was good. The burger was good but not great. We also had the Mediterranean salad which was good. We also had the hot pretzel for an app which was tasty. The kids had the cheeseburger that came with no cheese so they brought out a slice on a plate. That's a little odd.

Robyn K.

Yelp
Went back just for the Hanging Lake lager! Was so good and loved the large selection of options on the menu. We ate here twice over the weekend and got the spicy cheese curds both times. Excellent! Also love the chicken enchiladas. Only complaint is huge portions that I couldn't take to go!

Laura J.

Yelp
We always stop by the brewpub when we're in Glenwood and it's usually great. This time was disappointing. We had the "Philly cheesesteak" which was actually thinly shaved roast beef that was extremely dry with like 2 peppers. Bartender told us it was her favorite so it was extremely disappointing. Cheese curds were good and the pretzel never disappoint but we shouldn't have to rely on carbs and cheese to enjoy a good meal.

Nick B.

Yelp
On a day trip to Glenwood Springs we needed to stop for lunch and a brew pub sounded ideal. We were treated to great food and great beer and nice service too. The pub is attached to the Hotel Denver and you can get a nice view of town from the front. Absolutely staggering number of awards for beers was a good sign, and it checked out. The raspberry wheat was I think a favourite.

Kevin B.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in the Hotel Denver, which was very convenient as we were staying there on our trip to Glenwood Springs. The food is very good here and we really enjoyed our Caesar salad and Colorado club with coleslaw and tots. I enjoyed one of their house IPAs and my wife enjoyed one of their guest sours. Service was good as well and it was a good meal overall. We would definitely dine here again the next time we're in the area.

Amanda F.

Yelp
We were in town for the weekend and gave this place a shot for our first night. We sat at the bar & had drinks/dinner. Riley, the bartender, was so personable and attentive. I had the bison burger and hubby had the fish n chips. Both were fantastic. The beers were great and the company was good too. We even wished we had gone back on night 2 instead of the steakhouse we went to.

Angela C.

Yelp
This restaurant is in the heart of downtown Glenwood Springs and just a hop over from any of the accommodations in town. The restaurant space is surprisingly huge! We were seated immediately upon arrival without a reservation, prime time on a Saturday evening. We ordered the crab artichoke dip, buffalo chicken pizza, and the game-time burger. The crab artichoke dip was lite and fluffy for a cream based dip. I also liked that they served it with chips, pita, and veggies! My partner ordered the game-time burger. It was gone within minutes! I had a bite of it as well. It was juicy, full of flavor, but not too overpowering. The buffalo chicken pizza was a bit heavy on the garlic side and slightly dry. I probably wouldn't order that one again. We both had the blackberry Lemon tart to drink. It was delicious! It is a sour, but not too sour. I would definitely recommend this beer!

Helga S.

Yelp
The restaurant is right in the heart of the town and parking is challenging to find even during off hours. The restaurant smelled like dirty rags and that was hard to get over while eating. I am hoping this is not the norm, could be off day. The view of the mountain is very pretty and they have outdoor seating with sliding doors so they can open it all up during the summer. The server was very kind, efficient and fast. The fish and chips were good. The server brought the malt vinegar without me having to ask. I would try this place again and explore the menu further.

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Great food and great service. It has a unique atmosphere. We have passed through Glenwood Springs many times on Amtrak so it was interesting to be able to actually visit the town.

Bre X.

Yelp
If you are looking for a kid friendly spot with good food and fair prices look no further. Great kids menu even served on a frisbee. Greek salad was just what I wanted. Nice fresh ingredients. If you are thinking about going here just go!

Tyler F.

Yelp
Food was really good, relaxed atmosphere, server was a trainee but had a shadow that was obviously knowledgeable. The canyon burger was really good, my friend liked the Colorado Club, and the artichoke dip was very delicious.

Kyle V.

Yelp
Another cool old building downtown Glenwood Springs that was turned into a great space. We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday and had our pick of tables in the dining room or bar area. Our servers were friendly as we got a few because we hung out for quite awhile watching football and they changed shifts. We started with a couple beers and then ordered the Cheese Curds. They make sure you understand that they are spicy and they aren't kidding! Between the cheese used and the dipping sauce, these had a serious kick. For my lunch, I went with the fish and chips. It was pretty good and the portion was large. I loved that the fries were skinny and crispy, which is my favorite. The coleslaw was a refreshing side and the tartar sauce was good. Overall, decent spot with local beer and a large menu. The TVs are small and behind the bar but still did the job.

Blake F.

Yelp
Food was awesome, service was good, beer was good! Ate there twice we tried the local steak house one night and it was subpar for the price and tables being right on top of each other.

Melanie T.

Yelp
After soaking at the hot springs nearby, we were hungry for food and drinks. Most places were closed early and the brewpub was one of the few places that closed later. It's a really cool atmosphere with lots of on the House brews. There's plenty of seating throughout the restaurant. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was actually pretty good. The crab artichoke was a great way to start dinner. Our favorite was the bread. The drink that we ordered was a special fall drink with a cinnamon rim which was very different from other drinks. The burger was good but the part I remember most from the meal was the sweet potato tater tots. That was really delicious and I could take a bowl of it. The dessert was okay. The creme brûlée cheesecake was okay. I wish it had more of the creme brûlée flavoring but it tasted more like a general cheesecake.

Kristin A.

Yelp
First time in Colorado and visited here, had to say the chicken sandwich in my opinion wasn't really all that spicy, but the French fries were sooo good and crispy! Service was good, def recommend.

Aline R.

Yelp
Great food. The lemon herb chicken wing appetizer was especially good. The service was friendly and timely.

Karen M.

Yelp
A super-fun evening with super-duper food served by friendly staff. Each time I come to Glenwood Canyon Brewpub I have a good experience. Their food is so consistently good! And last night was no exception. The staff here don't get frustrated or frazzled when they get busy- they just step it up and get energized so everyone gets taken care of - they make it a party! We ordered a flight of beers and the servers, both named Alesha, I think, gave great recommendations. We enjoyed our food, were checked on regularly, and left stuffed, a little buzzed, and happy. As it should be. As it should be. A few must tries if you're considering this brewpub: beer cheese soup, onion rings, burgers, and salads. All always good! My go to place in Glenwood when I visit.

Kiara B.

Yelp
It's a great place for families to eat. The food was so good we went there two nights in a row after going to the hot springs. I was so impressed with the fish tacos and with the rice and beans that I actually ordered them both nights, and I also tried the chowder, the salad, and the homemade root beer, which were all very good as well. The waiter was also really nice and the place was cozy inside. You definitely won't regret stopping here for dinner.

Annette T.

Yelp
In my experience, breweries that are also full-on restaurants don't usually do amazing in either category. But we stopped here anyway because we wanted food and beer. The first beer that my partner ordered, he asked for a different one. Which I've never seen him do! It just wasn't good. I think it was a hibiscus raspberry wheat. I got the pilsner and my partner's second beer was the Mexican lager. Both were lacking in flavor but easy to drink. The veggie mac I ordered was good, but nothing to write home about. The fish tacos needed some more seasoning or sauce though and the fish was a bit watery. Service was good, no complaints. Honestly, we don't have a reason to come back if we're back in town again. Would rather get food from a food truck at a real brewery.

Russ E.

Yelp
We stopped by this place on a day trip to Glenwood. It's a cool spot a little off the main drag, but worth the walk. The food was great and it's good good outdoor views.

Mike N.

Yelp
The location is excellent. Amazing service. Food was great. Highly recommend this place! Can't wait until next trip to Colorado so I can eat here again

Kelly P.

Yelp
One of our go to spots! The food is so good and the kids love the root beer. The cheese curds are yum! Kids meals have a choice of smiley fries.

Randy B.

Yelp
Slow service, cold food server Max was mostly absent. Way too expensive for what we got.

Wendy M.

Yelp
Having read some fellow Yelpers reviews, we opted to have drinks here only and bypass food. Of course, we sat at the bar and so thankful, as there appeared to be a line quickly forming for the main restaurant. We did see several apps and entrees being served to nearby patrons, and on the surface, the burgers looked great. But alas, we stuck to craft beers and ciders: Crooked Stave Sour, Vapor Cave IPA, Old Fashioned and Glider Cider. And we enjoyed all the drinks. We may stop back in and give the food a try. Who knows, maybe GCB made some edits with their food.

Ryan L.

Yelp
I've come here a lot of times, and you think everything would be good right? WRONG. The seating was nice. We got to watch the hockey game on TV but the food was good. The fries were pretty good but after this experience, me and my sister felt pretty terrible the next day. We guarantee that this place was why we were feeling yucky, the service was nice and kind. But do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Becca B.

Yelp
Our wait time on a Saturday night was just under a half hour. Not bad at all considering a lot of the restaurants in "restaurant row" strongly recommend reservations. We lingered by the bar and ordered a Naughty Rootbeer (housemate root beer with vanilla vodka) while we waited. Our drinks took 15 minutes which kinda sucked but the bartender was busy, we could see that. There was definitely inconsistency between bartenders though; my second Naughty Rootbeer was made by a different bartender and was significantly stronger. It made me disappointed with the first drink. Food: the spicy cheese curds were wonderful. They were crispy on the outside and came out piping hot. The chipotle dipping sauce was slightly sweet and complimented the spiciness of the curds perfectly. I also had the fried chicken sandwich- incredible! The chicken was moist and fried to perfection. All the toppings on my sandwich sang together. Overall the food was awesome. Service and drinks were decent but not memorable.

Dominique S.

Yelp
This place is a laid back local brewery. I loved their Amber beer which is harder to find these days than it should be in my humble opinion. Service is great, if you are in Glenwood definitely stop in!

Carly W.

Yelp
After stopping by twice during our recent weekend getaway, I can easily say they're "A-OK". Why? Let's talk about it! SPACE/ATMOSPHERE: It's divided up into several dinning areas. During our first visit, my husband and I were seated in the very back. Not a big deal, except there were two girls being very loud behind us. It made it difficult to enjoy our meal until they left. Our second visit, we were with a group of nine and seated in a more open part of the same dining area. It worked well for us. There's a variety of brewing related knick-knacks and artwork throughout the space. A few scattered tvs can be found throughout the space to ensure you can catch a sports game. Near the main bar, there are some medals won at various beer fests - cool! BITES: During our first visit we ordered the Spicy Wisconsin Cheese Curds, Pub Tacos, and Roasted Chicken Enchiladas. We both really enjoyed the cheese curds, thought I wouldn't describe them as being terribly spicy. My husband wasn't impressed with his tacos. While they were piled high, they were a little lack luster. The enchiladas were delicious. So much so that my husband ordered them when we came back. On our second visit, I chose the chicken tortilla soup. It tasted like Progresso soup. The chicken was cubed, the broth was thick, and the flavor was just missing. So, I'd say, stick to the enchiladas and cheese curds if you venture here. SIPS: We sipped on a variety of brews during our visits including: Hanging Lake Light Lager, Vapor Cave IPA, Grizzly Creek Raspberry Wheat, Barrel Rolls Oktoberfest, and a couple brews from their Project (a rotating hop series). All in all we enjoyed most of the brews. The Vapor Cave IPA was probably our least favorite, and even at that it def wasn't terrible. My husband enjoyed the Barrel Rolls Oktoberfest and I really liked both the Hanging Lake Light Lager and the Grizzly Creek Raspberry Wheat. SERVICE: The service during both visits was def a little wonky. We had a different server take our order, bring our drinks, and drop our food during our first visit. The second time, our server must've been spread pretty thin. After we placed our drink order, I saw them sitting on the bar for easily 10 minutes, and some drinks were missing. I assumed we'd all be getting glasses of water, nope. We each had to request them. It just felt very choppy. MERCH: Near the main bar there is a variety of merch available for purchase including glassware, beanies, shirts, and sweaters. While it made for a decent spot for our larger group to get together; I think I'll check out some other places in Glenwood Springs before my husband and I make our way back here.

Candace N.

Yelp
Good atmosphere and conversation. Burger was good as was the service. Waited for my group while enjoying a beer - learned about some great off-road trails as a bonus.

Kylie M.

Yelp
Food is amazing. Really enjoyed the elk sausage, the burger and wings. Amazing, yummy pretzel.

Laura C.

Yelp
I didn't feel like anything heavy, which meant my options were slim here. Wound up with the Mediterranean salad - was a little heavy on the dressing but fresh and satisfying.

Kate K.

Yelp
Come for the fish and chips! Amazing. Top 10 in my life, and I'm an old foodie. Bar atmosphere, wines by the glass, tvs to watch sports. Great for solo travelers

Hollie M.

Yelp
Really good food. Homemade vegan burger patty. Huge soft pretzels and local beer. A little loud and can get crowded. Good option for kids.

Richard G.

Yelp
Very decent brewpub with pretty good beer selection. Good food variety on the menu. Love the hamburger and the rueben was tasty. Friendly bartender as well.

Mike L.

Yelp
Easy, quick and 100% correct takeout! We were stuck in our hotel with our dog, so it was a great option to pick up dinner. Really good beer to take away as well.
