We had a great visit. Our kids 7 and 10 loved the Shoshone Chutes ride. The locker rooms and pools were clean. We were there on a June Thursday at 10am and poolside lounge chairs were still available. You cannot bring in your own food. It was $65 for 2 adults and 2 kids to eat lunch at the onsite grill and unfortunately the burgers and Dino nuggets were not very good. On a positive note, they do offer gluten free bread for burgers and sandwiches which is nice. And the twist ice cream cones were great.|All in all we had a great time relaxing and enjoying the pools, we stayed from 10am - 4pm without getting bored. We feel like it was worth the cost.

This place is really well ran. My family had a great time here. Everything was VERY clean, the pools, the grassy areas, even the bathrooms. With as many people as were there I am impressed with how orderly and clean it was. I really like that there is really only 1 area in the park where the water is deep, so I was able to let my kids have freedom and know they would be safe. There are lots of lifeguards on duty. And even though it was 4th of July and there were a lot of people, it never felt super crowded. We always had space. Overall a really great experience.

We did not stay here but drove 1.5hours to enjoy the hot springs. This was an amazing facility and very family oriented. Great experience. Highly recommend adding to your trip. Glenwood springs was a very cute town too.

The Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge is an excellent option when staying in Glenwood Springs. It is more expensive than surrounding properties BUT, it includes admission to the hotel Springs pool which is right across the street. As of this writing in July 2025, the admission fee for adults is $51 a day, so you will quickly add this up if you stay somewhere else. I recommend the lodge for anyone planning on spending a lot of time at the pools.

We have stayed here many many times. This year is for my wife's birthday. Shay who helped us book our room was outstanding at listening and getting us situated. Excellent job right from the start of our trip. Shay then put us in touch with Trish who helps manage the pool services with her help we booked a Cabana. What a great experience. These people are why this Lodge has continued to put out extraordinary service each time we visit. Hays off and thanks you. Ron F.

Google
This is a great family place but our room had problems like a broken air conditioner and the bathroom flloor wasnt clean. But, the front desk people were nice and the engineer fixed our air conditioner. Our bed was comfortable and the free breakfast was good. The pool and restaurant are across the street on a different block so there is walking involved that I didn't expect.

We had stayed at this resort previously & were disappointed with our 2025 visit. The rooms have some new finishes, but there are no longer microwaves in the room. The sink is designed in such a way that it never fully drains. The AC is startlingly loud. It woke both of us up multiple times. |The pool access is nice, but it is a hot springs pool & is best used in cooler months. 95 degrees days in June = you will not want to be in a hot pool during the day. I would recommend visiting in the fall instead. |The rooms are small & close to the interstate. The hotel itself only has one working elevator. The only shops & restaurants are across the street, past the pool. The hotel only has vending machines and no shops onsite.

The lodge needs an update, there’s no restaurant, it’s disconnected from the springs, the springs have no drinks. I was hoping for a restful experience after a day of driving. Turns out, I would have been better off in a close by hotel and just swing tot the springs for a couple of hours.

Yelp
We stayed the evening so we could take advantage of going to the pools for two days. In the summer they have a three day minimum stay at the resort. The resort is actually across the street from the actual pools and had to walk around to get to the entrance, so you're basically looking at the exit only side of the hot springs when you exit the resort. If you have a senior or someone with limited walking ability, you will have to drive to the pools since the entrance is on the other side. They should have a special entrance for resort guests that is closer to the walkway. The rooms were your basic rooms. The included breakfast was across the street at the restaurant attached to the pool so it was nice to eat before we got in the pools. The water slides/river (available in the summer) are so fun! We enjoyed our time here, love the area, and will definitely be back!

Abby T.

Yelp
We came to enjoy the hotsprings and decided to stay at the resort for the easy access to the pools. The hotsprings are included in the cost, its an easy walk down to them. When checking into the hotsprings all they ask is for your room number and they offer you all the towels you need. You can come and go all day and you can access the hotsprings on the day of your check all day. Breakfast is included, they serve it at the grill in hotsprings, not in the hotel building and you have to make a reservation. The reservation made sense because the room was very small and could only sit so many people. The food was made to order, except some cereal, toast and fruit. You could order items off of the menu for a price its not included, like coffee or smoothies. We paid $15 for a latte and a mango smoothie. The food came out very quickly but tasted very mediocre. We expected a better breakfast due to the price of the hotel and having to make a reservation. While on our stay the hotel is doing major renovations, they did not warn us ahead of time nor is it listed on thier website. Because of the renovations the AC was broken, so they had 1 fan in the room and we slept with our patio door open. It still made for a sweaty night for a hot fall. We couldn't sleep in because the nail guns started at 8am. They did compensate us and we appreciated that. Overall the rooms are nice and clean. Having the easy access to the hotsprings made it worth it for us and we would come back. Hopefully the renovations are done then.

Yelp
On a trip to Denver, my friends and I decided to do a day trip out to Glenwood Hot Springs Resort for a little rest and relaxation. We purchased a pool pass and cabana rental about a month in advance. You can buy pool tickets on the day of but since we wanted a cabana we decided to do it all at one time. Online purchasing was easy to navigate and do. From Denver, the drive was about 2 1/2 hours on I-70 which was very scenic through the mountains and located between Aspen and Vail. Parking was was plentiful and depending on when you come, not too far a walk. When we arrived, there was a pretty long line. I feel like people with already purchased tickets should have a dedicated line to speed up the process. Customer service was ok. Once we checked in, we made our way to the locker room which is included in the purchase price. They were somewhat clean with no real privacy if you are shy. So Glenwood's water is from a natural hot spring and is fed into the world's largest hot springs pool. This place peaked my interest because I'm not about roughing it in any way and everything here is nice, paved and clean. The main reason you visit a hot spring is for the benefits of the water itself. The pool was as beautiful as it looks online with a beautiful backdrop as well. Our cabana was on a higher level. With the altitude already kicking my butt, I did not like having to walk up any more stairs. The cabana was covered and came with a fridge, fan, and comfortable seating. It also included two lounge chairs outside of it. It was comfortable but we were hardly in there. It also included bottled water. The pool was everything we were looking for. It was chilly out, but the pool was the perfect temp and there was plenty of room to where no one was ever remotely close to bumping into you. We did not partake in any extra snacks or beverages as we had dinner plans after. Overall, this was a cool one time deal for me. The drive from Denver and back was a little brutal. I would recommend actually staying here if you were to visit.

Faith F.

Yelp
Beautiful fun and healing. We stopped in during a Colorado road trip and it was the best break. The Shoshone chutes were a blast! They had pools with different temps. Free lockers and swimsuit drying machines

Chris M.

Yelp
Always crowded, the grill which is the only place to buy alcohol closes at 3 but the pool is open til 9. Rea dumb.

Yelp
Took a night to get away and clear our minds, what a great choice! From the staff to the resort we enjoyed every minute!! This is a great resort for a quick getaway or a family getaway. The nearby Yampah Spring which smells of aging egg pumps out 3,500,000 gallons of 122-degree Fahrenheit water each day, which is then treated (not smelly) and cooled to 104 and 94 degrees for the therapy pools.

Ryan L.

Yelp
I live in Glenwood and honestly, I'm in love with this place! Whenever my neck goes out of shape, the therapy pool is always the nicest And it whips me back into shape. The ice cream is so good and so big! The food is also good too. (I recommend going to the grill) I love to relax, so this is my place! If your neck is out of shape, you know where to come! The pool is so big and the waterslides are fun!

Mich H.

Yelp
Would have been better if the air conditioning was working. Stayed 3 days never got an update and air still wasn't working when we left. It was 85 degrees in the room.

Steve M.

Yelp
Based on how much you have to spend to stay the night or the daily cost for the pool this place seems over priced no matter which way you go. The hotel needs updating for sure. The wifi may be dialup still going through AOL it was so slow. The room was tiny and for almost $400 way to high prices for what you got. The hot springs are nice but under construction so the walk to get into the springs may require an Uber ride for folks that have difficulties walking. The staff was helpful and polite so that was a plus. If we come back we may stay elsewhere and pay the huge daily rate for the hot springs.

angus a.

Yelp
this once great pool had served everyone well for decades. now they charge 46 dollars each to slosh next to hundreds of belching tourists while the hills are on fire and the combined sulfur and smoke stench is unbearable. they are playing families and luxury tourists for every last dollar they can. move along - there are free hot springs up the road! it's a 15 dollar soak at best.

Julie L.

Yelp
We had a nice 2-night stay here. The staff at the pool-side breakfast who checked us in were super nice. The hot-springs pool staff was good, except for the 1 of the staff members that was running the chutes. He kept asking us did they close the gate to let more people in or not because it was suppose to be closed. I took a look at my watch and there was still at least 5 minutes til the ride was closed. I got vibes that he really didn't want to be there. He was the only pool staff that seemed very annoyed. All the other pool staff was super kind and nice. I only knocked 1-star down because - 1 pool staff member being a bit rude - Upon checkout we realized someone's swimsuit was left in the corner of room, under the window curtain from a previous stay. Made me wonder, how well is this place cleaned? -The wallpaper in the room bathroom was peeling

Julie S.

Yelp
Don't waste your time at this place. We were told all rooms were southern view. Not so much. We were facing west looking at the wall of the Hotel across the street. Our sliding door to the patio fell off. There was a hornets nest in the railing on out balcony so we had to keep the door closed at all times once we were able to get it to close! did not get to enjoy sitting out there once! Signed up for breakfast over at the pool when we arrived for breakfast of course our name was not put on the list! We were still able to eat but this is not a good business practice. We tried getting another room and was told no we could not because the other rooms were not ready for guests. My list goes on and on. Tooooo pricey for this type of accommodation. Won't go back. Went down the street to Iron springs wow what a difference! Amazing. This place not so much.....

D Renee S.

Yelp
The Pool is nice enough. The Staff is great. Increased presence of security officers are needed. You risk being surrounded by thieves and nasty customers most likely pissing in the pools based on the behavior I witnessed. (pissing in the pools is not proven just a guess) I finally invested in a nice and in my world it would have been considered expensive swim suite only to have it stolen when I left it in the bathroom after changing for less than ten minutes before I realized left it and immediately went back to retrieve it. I also also observed other behavior from guests that would make me advice you to lock your stuff up, do not leave anything unattended that you do not want stolen. This need to protect your stuff of course takes away from your ability to relax. They do have lockers, if they are full ask for your money back and leave unless you bring your own security team. Bottom line never leave your stuff unattended.

Yelp
I literally just got here. I wasn't looking for problems. My family and i are on a birthday weekend and i had remembered this hotel from like 6 7 years back and how much i loved this hotel particularly the free breakfast. I had been told to bring my own crib as they couldn't guarantee two pack n plays and they were able to give us two. I went to shut the curtains and found it torn and with holes. I went to make hot water and the teapot cover is broke. I also have no idea how to charge my phone theres this docking center but it doesn't seem to be charging I know i was a bit difficult with reservations having to change my original plans but im not sure it warrented this. I do want to mention brittney who was super super helpful when i was booking my rafting package. She went way above and beyond the normal customer service

Alyssa R.

Yelp
Awesome free breakfast, great place! Fun for kids and adults. Very clean, delicious food!

Sally T.

Yelp
BEWARE...........OVERCHARGED .......overpriced............ September 2022, i had a plane go to hot spring Colorado, so I book 2 room on January 04/ 2023 at this hotel for my vacation. I agree w the HUGE price when I book those rooms on January 04/ 2023, but when I check out, they CHARGE ME MORE for 2 rooms. The reason they give me, cuz the year 2022, IT IS DIFFERENT w year 2023. ...... wth is going on. I book my rooms on January 04/ 2023, hello.....anyone can explain to me, pls??????? I book for 2023, so I agree with that price for my 2 rooms. I don't care about the year 2022, 2021, 2019, lower or higher price. This is not the first time I book hotel, I never got any stupid reason like that, PAYING MORE FOR NEW YEARS ( even u already book IT b4). Never coming back, NOT RECOMMENDED

Nick S.

Yelp
Springs were awesome! It was like a big Party. I loved taking my children here and would do so again. Bring sunscreen and get a cold drink. Definitely an awesome town with awesome amenities.

Judd O.

Yelp
Great hospitality. Very easy to navigate around the resort. Complimentary breakfast was great, you did need a reservation though. Overall, great experience.

Jessica K.

Yelp
If you're planning to visit Glenwood Springs I would stay elsewhere, unless you enjoy paying almost $500 for an outdated room and 2 people. The rooms were clean; however, they were dark and the furniture is dated. They desperately need to purchase new mattresses. The mattress had huge dips on each side making it difficult to fall asleep. Overall it wasn't terrible but pricy for the condition of the room. Pros- unlimited access to the hot springs for each person in your reservation, hot & continental breakfast included in your room rate, free parking. Cons- expensive and outdated

Elyse T.

Yelp
We absolutely have enjoyed coming here over the years! Staff is friendly, food isn't too bad, and there are many places to swim for adults and or kids. We enjoyed the rides, diving board, and soaking in the minerals. I would give 5 stars but the prices to get in and order food are incredibly high. However, this was written during the highest inflation we've seen in the last 40 years so keep that in mind. :-)

Shannon Y.

Yelp
Most relaxing place ever! Has different pools for levels of heat. Enjoyed all of them! So much fun too!

Leena S.

Yelp
This is one of those must-do things if in Glenwood Springs. There is nothing else quite like it. Sit yourself down in some natural sulphur springs with the views of snow capped mountains right in front of you. It's simply amazing. Once evening rolls around, the lights add an additional majestic feel I was concerned that it would be cold, but you forget about the cold once you are in the Springs. They have it divided into two separate pools. One pool is set at a 104 degrees Fahrenheit and the other 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The majority of people were in the hotter pool, but its nice to go back and forth between both. Entrance to the Hot Springs is $15.75 for the day / person. They offer a discount after 9pm, if you simply want to go for an hour. There is a charge of a few bucks for towels, so bring your own. Also, have 2 quarters on hand to store your stuff in the locker rooms. Parking is free, but the lot is rather small.

Mark S.

Yelp
I booked a evening at this luxury resort? Turns out it is an old cramped rundown hotel. We sat outside this lodge in the car, double and triple checking the reservation. Until I scrolled to the bottom of the web page where "resort" turned into lodge. Well, in my experience, resorts normally have bellboys and valet. But you can park out back and roll your suitcases right in. Ryght! Just have to get them up or down several stairs before rolling. So, crappy access to your room with no help. The room with two queen beds. Small, cramped, musty, small issues with shower curtain and items. Just old with a partial make over. Then to the hot springs pool. Concrete stairs down, across the street, follow signs on the chain link fence, and a path around half a block to the front of the building. Then check into the front desk that is more like an OLD NY subway entrance with turnstiles. (Are people jumping the gates to get into this place?) Water is fine, you will enjoy it, until the hot just feels warm. Ah, they schedule your breakfast so that they don't have everyone rush the McDonalds...I mean the Grille. Better breakfast biscuits at any fast food. I think of resort dining of being on a nice plate, okay maybe a plastic plate. How about just a paper plate. No paper plate, no tray? A bag with your food and you eat off the wrapper. Yes, this resort gives you a breakfast picnic eating off wrappers.... Thank god they scheduled us to avoid the "rush". This "RESORT" could learn a thing or ten from a Best Western or Holiday Inn. I have not logged into my Yelp account in years. I logged in today to specifically warn you about this "Resort". I am a retired Marine, married after I retired. Lived in Marine barracks most of my twenty years. I did not know until now that my barracks, with a chow hall down the street and a gym across the street with all the quaint chain link fencing was a "RESORT". I did forget to mention the view. But it did not have a view. Stay somewhere else... Still trying to find our complementary bathrobe. Stay somewhere else, but eat dinner at Pullman's. The RESORT PR Team either needs to be FIRED or given a raise!

John R.

Yelp
Haven't been here since I was about 10. Now that I'm 35 and brought my own kids to it let's review it! First off it's the biggest hot springs pool! But with that comes high price! Almost 100$ for my small fam of 4 to visit for 1 day. I do wish they had a half day option. They have a fun area for the smaller kids with slides and waterfalls and a splash pad ( those are not mineral water just normal pool water) however it's big and fun lots of seating and there's a snack bar. They even had a pizza food truck on site during lunch if you wanted one. Check it out. It's a colorado staple.

Carly W.

Yelp
Seeking a fun getaway for a friend's birthday we found ourselves in Glenwood Springs! So naturally we made our way to Glenwood Hot Springs Resort to soak soak up the sun in the hot springs! Things to LOVE: + the different temperature pools offered! + the water slides! Being "young at heart" I couldn't help but take a couple trips down those! + the lawn area where we could lay out when we need to dry out a little. + that you can bring in your own cooler! Our friends had packed in a great picnic and drinks! + that they have a little restaurant in case you forgot some snacks (or adult beverages)! + the views! I just can't get over those gorgeous mountain views! There's def quite a few kids milling around (obviously with those water slides), so if you're looking for a child-free getaway this may not be the hot springs for you! All in all, Glenwood Hot Springs Resort was a great way to start our weekend celebrations! I look forward to coming back and relaxing in those springs after my next hike in the area!

Seth M.

Yelp
A super relaxing hot springs like nowhere else. Great scenery hot water and nice area. Would like more seating for the pool but other than that i had a great time

Isabelle G.

Yelp
Loved this resort. Super clean and staff are extremely accommodating. Will definitely be coming back. Also hot spring pool is a must! Truly an amazing experience and will be coming back!!

Eva K.

Yelp
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday last December and it was so magical in the snow! The hotel staff is SO kind and accommodating as well. It was mid-week so the hotel wasn't very busy and because it was my birthday they gave us a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful room with a stunning view of the springs and surprised me upon check in with a birthday card and bottle of champagne. I wanted to cry it was so thoughtful! Also, the breakfast that's included with the stay is amazing!! Made to order omelets, fancy donuts, fruit, pancakes...anything your heart desires. It's a continental breakfast on steroids and that's a very good thing! The hotsprings are open early and late and you get complimentary robes and towels plus there are lockers change rooms and showers. Overall just a wonderful trip and experience. We can't wait to go back!

Michelle B.

Yelp
Large hot springs pools await. (This review is for the pools area only - not the hotel). I am not entirely sure what I expected before arriving as this was my first time here. I think I had envisioned small pools of water with different minerals and or temps and instructions on which pool would be best for a particular therapy session so to speak. It was not the day spa I had come up with in my head. We took advantage of one pool only, and that was the 104 degree pool. It felt great. We loved it. There were many people of all ages enjoying the pools. This one did not allow floaties as the hot water was known to pop them. The other pool did allow them and it was nice to see they allowed outside floats. This was a great place for people watching and we got an eye full to say the least. The food was pretty good. The guys on the BBQ cooking up the burgers and dogs were totally engaged and it was fun to see them enjoy what they were doing. The burger had really good flavor! The lower level girls bathroom / locker room was a little dirty with a clogged toilet. Not sure how long it had been clogged but it was not on my highlights of the visit. I would have liked to see more of the pools and wanted to check out the slide but didn't have time. So, when we go back, I'll check that out. There were no in and out visits here like they have done in the past. You can't leave the pools area and expect to come back in if you want to explore the town in between dips. There is and excellent view of the mountains as you soak.

Yelp
We stayed one night at the lodge and booked a cabana for the day. The entire purpose was to relax at the springs for the day. Between price of hotel and cabana, this was well over $500. There was NOTHING luxurious or relaxing. - ridiculous walk from hotel to springs with terrible signage -right next to interstate. So lots of constant road noise - cabana was a joke with extremely old uncomfotable furniture -checking in at the pool, no real explanation on where to go, the locker rooms, the cabana. You really just need to figure it out on your own. - the snack bar for lunch.... too much to write. Terrible service, terrible options, terrible food, expensive and unbelievably dirty. Food all over the floor. - the main pool is more of a heated pool. Super crowded. The smaller pool that was supposed to be a higher temp, was a little hotter. It was fine, still crowded. -the "bubble chairs" in the therapy pool they mention on the website are no longer there. There is a sign about pool renovations that are planned and guess they are coming back eventually. -its just dirty. Food, bandaids, all over the ground. Walkways are filthy so your feet are dirty getting in pool -desperately need an adults only therapy pool/area or designated adults only time. -the staff look miserable and like they hate their jobs- it shows in their customer service. Hotel: it was fine, rooms were clean, nothing better than any $150 a night hotel, except it was $350. Flight of stairs to enter only back entrance from parking in the back. Not fun for luggage. It was fine but way overpriced. Overall, my review is 1 star for the spring and 3 star for the hotel. If you are looking for a poorly run waterpark to take your kids, with heated pools and dont mind overpaying. This may work for you. But for anyone looking for a hot springs/spa like experience. This is a hard pass.

Micky C.

Yelp
I've been to another hot springs up here before & this was my first time at this one. This is definitely a more family oriented place and it's larger than the other one I'd been to. This one had more food options & had a vegan sandwich wrap but their food is ridiculously overpriced ($9 hot dog, $11 vegan wrap). I do prefer smaller places with multiple small pools, fewer children and quieter. I came here to spend time with friends who had a 4yo though. Facilities were nice & clean.

L C.

Yelp
Book online or your bill won't be what you expect. The person at the front desk told me it would be 160 to add another night with the buy now discount. Bill came out to 280 a night and there was no way to correct it. Conveniently the employee that told me the lower rate was gone when it came time to check out. The breakfast at "the grill" sets a new low for hotel breakfast. After realizing the 'eggs' were fake and reading the preservatives in the apple juice, I threw it away and went down the street to bluebird cafe. Pool is great and people are nice but I will be getting a room elsewhere in the future. I stayed in the property for the 2 days of pool access, but the unanticipated cost would have easily covered the daily pool rates (and breakfast).

JD H.

Yelp
Do not let the name fool you, this is by no means a resort. I did enjoy the spa of the rockies, so this is a completely separate review and only of the motel. The lodge is okay, but by no means is this resort style. The price is way over for what you get. We spent two nights here and while it was enjoyable it was not the "resort" style ambiance or amenities that is portrayed on the website I wish that the hotel reflected our experience at the spa. The spa and the hotel seemed to be owned by two completely different businesses. The pools like others have said are full during peak times , but enjoyable and I can see why families bring their kids, they have a lot of great activities for kids, Like the lazy river slide , the fountains etc... I only wish that maybe after a certain time at least the last two hrs, the pools were open to adults only. The stay at the hotel came with free breakfast which we did not enjoy at all. Skip the breakfast. But definitely book an experience at the spa. If it wasn't for the spa and our out door activities, we probably wouldn't plan a visit back. We will be returning , just not to this "resort".

Jason F.

Yelp
Management at this place sucks. We drove up from Denver for the sole purpose of using the new slides. Website says they are open as of March 13, weather permitting. Call them to ask if they are open or if the weather is permitting, nope, you will not get anyone on the phone. Showed up and of course weather is not permitting. It has to be at least 60 degrees. Well thanks. I can now drive back to Denver or pay to sit in the cesspool without the slides. A little more clarity and transparency is needed especially when a family of 4 costs $96. To add onto this, we've asked several employees if the slides will open today. "I don't know" seems to be the coached standard answer. One person did say that they are understaffed. Bait and switch it would seem. Very disappointing for a place we used to like and visit a few times per year

Dee C.

Yelp
This is our third visit in the last 5 years. Parking can be difficult during peak season. Easy check in. $26.95 a person. Bring your towels because they will charge you $2.50 per towel. The towels are small and thin. They have lockers for 50 cents. The pools are well kept and they have life guards that are watching and patrolling the pool. We like the therapeutic pool. They have free air to pump the floats by the kiddy pool. I took one star off for the bathroom/shower. Curtains are not wide enough to cover the shower door. That area needs updating.

Courtney M.

Yelp
I don't even know where to begin. 1) they call us the day before coming telling us they will be closing the hot spring until may. They tell us sorry no refund but we can cancel. Ummmmm 2) the pool is across the street NOT CONVENIENT for anyone with kids, wheelchairs or when it's cold out. 3) our room was over 74 degrees inside. No air conditioning and they tell us to open the windows. We'll they only open about 2inch. 4) the rooms are SO dark. You literally need your blinds open 24/7. And it's VERY dated. Our fan in the bathroom was coming off the ceiling. Our lights by our bed didn't work. And you can hear everybody in the rooms around you. Our Wi-Fi did not work also 5) it is not worth more than maybe 200$ a night if that. Don't waste your money here. They also have NO limit on how many people come into the pool. So you are shoulder to shoulder with people. Ewww Go to iron mountain hot springs it's so much better.

Yelp
Well, I have to say that I expected more. I had a very hard time getting ahold of someone to make a reservation. Once I did though, I had a wonderful experience with the person on the phone. She was lovely, explaining we had access to the springs for the entire day and the following day (9-9). Unfortunately, everything after that was unwelcoming and disappointing (at the lodge, at least. I left a separate review for the springs). When we arrived (after being on the road for 6+ hours), I walked into the lobby. The woman was not very friendly. She didn't care to answer questions and was quick to move me along. The room, however, was very clean. They gave us a great view of the spas and mountains. The room had two queen beds and a beautiful balcony. The bathroom was very clean. Once we returned from the spas that night, we settled in. We went to bed but kept getting woken by a loud roaring sound and the heater would not maintain a comfortable temperature (it was 35° outside). When I woke in the morning, I attempted to take a shower and there was NO hot water. It was only like warm. With little time before we had to leave, we cleaned up to get on the road at 6:45am. I told the desk about our disappointment with the noice, heat, and specifically the cold water. The front desk asked me why I didn't call in the middle of the night to complain and only told them when I was leaving. I told her that it was because it was at 2am! She said "Well, that's unfortunate. Have a great day." I was very displeased with the comment and treatment. Though I'll definitely visit the springs again, but I will not give my business to the lodge.

Yelp
I've been following Glenwood Hot Springs on Instagram for months before my western road trip. Their pictures on Instagram make it look more glorious than it is. When I arrived I was disappointed by the lack of character as portrayed online. We went on a Friday evening around 6:30PM. Check-in/payment was easy. Finding a chair to put our towel and shoes were not. The Therapy Pool was crowded and very hot. I found myself having to get out every 10 or so minutes as instructed. The large pool is definitely cooler in temperature and allows for more space/movement. Appreciate the history and original foundation but it really just is a large resort/public pool. Hoping to find a more rustic hot spring for my next experience.

Yelp
Second time back from Philly, I brought my parents here this time. Compared to February, it's the same great customer service, clean facility, friendly overall atmosphere to be in. I came at 9pm and the admission is $12.50 per adult, $2.50 for towel rental and $0.50 for locker rental. (special pricing, day time is about $22 per person) Two different pool temperatures to choose from, the one closest to the lockers are the hottest, I would say 5 times hotter than the pool next door. Kid friendly place, elderly friendly, very well balanced. No nudes. Bathing suit required. During the night there aren't any available dining options inside the facility but I believe there is during the day. Excellent place I would return again with my friends in the future. Recommend bringing your own towels and some quarters for the locker. You can also bring bottle water that is not glass made into the pool area.

Yelp
I think for $400 per night the hotel is a bit outdated, room smelled of smoke when we walked in but fortunately we had some air spray to alleviate that problem. I think the "experience" is lacking due to covid... Grill shuts down too early, morning breakfast you have to go pick up, and take back to your room... McDonald's breakfast is probably tastier. I suppose people stay here to be close to the hot spring pool and that's probably what you're really paying for. I'd probably choose to stay elsewhere in town for a lot cheaper and just pay to get into the hot springs pool next time. Maybe it's a bit more luxurious after covid restrictions are lifted. Grill closed, kids splash pad closed, chutes closed, towels they give you at the pool are old, thin and smell... simple burger nachos food... expected more for high end prices.

Yelp
Let me start by saying this was a good experience but I expected more for what we payed for. Customer service was great, everyone was very nice and helpful. Parking is outside! So it sucks when you arrive late at night and it's snowing or raining. Our room was decent , our view was meh (we were in the first floor below the lobby). They have wifi but it was slow. I liked that they offer good continental breakfast. They also offered hot food but oh boy that was mediocre. You can see my picture. The server was extremely nice, the girl cooking was unhappy she was complaining about the days she had been working and the overtime she had done that week. I am assuming she cooked the food because as she said she was burnt out so was her cooking! I've had crappy hotel food but jeebus this takes the cake. Oh and you have to go across the street to where the pools are for breakfast. The hotspring was nice and relaxing definitely would come again I would just stay at a different hotel. If you stay here coming to the hotsprings is complimentary and you get free towels. However, getting from the hotel to the springs was interesting. You have to walk across the street and our walk to the springs there was a gawd awful smell. I am assuming because one of the pools is under reconstruction (which they failed to notify us when we booked but what ever). I do like that they are open long hours so you definitely get to enjoy it if you want. Overall, it was fun but definitely a bit overpriced for what you are getting. The hot spring is something worth trying.

Yelp
My husband and stayed here for our honeymoon and were pleased with our stay. The rooms are clean and well kept. In addition, hotel guests get free parking and access to the hot springs pool. This was a great deal because the pool now charges about $45 per person to get in - which I actually understand. We got the biggest bang for our buck by staying here. I read the other Yelp reviews that complained about pool distance, construction, and the questions of it actually being a "resort." I have been to many resorts in my life (big modern ones in Newport Beach, Las Vegas, New York, etc) and I want to say that I was still absolutely satisfied with this place. You just need to keep in mind that Glenwood Springs is completely different from those other places. It is a very old mountain town and the hotel was built in the 1800s (as were most of the buildings). Back then they did not care about handicapped people or how fancy and spacious a building was, especially since this was built on a massive mountain range. That said, in reality, the walk to the pool here was no longer than the walk to a pool at a modern resort would be. Construction was there, but considering that they are expanding the pool and renovating, we could have cared less. It really wasn't loud or much of a distraction. The only issue was that they don't deliver any celebration packages to your room. A relative of ours called the front desk to see if they could have a bottle of champagne sent to our room and the front desk said they don't do that. They don't even have partnerships with outside businesses to have them send something. We would suggest considering this for guests celebrating something there. In addition, our room was facing the parking lot and there was a truck there for a short time making a lot of noise. So 'romantic' for honeymooners to hear that . Overall, still a very lovely stay.

Yelp
This is a review of the hotel. It needs a refresh badly as the interior of both the lobby and the rooms are dated. Our first floor room had a slow draining tub and a toilet that clogged up. The Wi-fi is TERRIBLE. It was slow and dropped out a lot to the point that my kids, who are pretty easy going, complained about it quite a bit. The staff was very helpful and friendly, although they admit that they don't always answer the phone, so if you need anything, you have to go to the front desk. A stay gets you free access to the pool and other hot springs amenities, and you get a free breakfast which is better than a continental breakfast. The location is convenient to the town and shopping.

Yelp
My family and I had a great time at the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort. We stayed there during the first week of April, and it was snowing during the first day of our stay. It was an incredible experience! The poolside grill staff was amazing as well!

Yelp
I wasn't expecting a lot based on some on the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. We felt we got a good deal for a Monday night stay at $216, taxes included. Parking included as well. The big advantage to staying here is you are allowed into the hot springs pool when they open at 9am on the day of your check in and you also have in and out privileges that day pass holders don't. We got there around 11:30am and could have checked into a room early but we wanted to wait for a room with a balcony. We enjoyed the hot springs pool all day and checked into our room at 4:00pm. Our room was not huge, but it had two queen beds, table and chairs, tv, dresser, closet, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, safe, bathroom of course, and the balcony with 2 chairs and small table. After having dinner off site, we came back to the hot springs pool and enjoyed a nice night swim. It was absolutely beautiful at night and I highly recommend it. The pools close at 9pm. The next day our checkout was at 12 noon. We walked over to The Grill where they had a choice of two breakfast sandwiches, donuts, juice, coffee, etc. This was included in the price of our room. We walked back to our room and had our breakfast, it was pretty good. We checked out of our room early and spent most of the day at the Hot Springs. We could have stayed until 9 PM if we wanted to. We didn't have any service problems like some of the reviews stated. There was one time where we had to wait a couple minutes for somebody to come to the front desk but no big deal.

Yelp
My family is on our third visit to the hotel and pool. The hotel has made some nice upgrades and updates to the rooms and hotel. Due to the recent shut down, the hotel was pretty empty and we were treated well as first guests. We highly recommend staying at this hotel because of the convenience to the pool and other local attractions.

Yelp
Checking in was quick and painless as we made a reservation for 2. Entering out small "suite" with two queen sized beds was such a disappointment! Bathroom was tiny, nearly no room with the beds taking up all the space. But the worst part was the damn bugs. Tiny beetles(or whatever they were) on the walls, and what appeared to be bed bugs in one of the beds. We stayed one night and figured we won't be in our room long enough to care or cause a scene. We visited the hot springs, did nearby shopping, then back to our bug infested room. When I complained about it upon checking out, nothing was done. No reimbursement for our 2 guest stay ($240ish), not even an apology! We stayed roughly a year ago, so hopefully things have improved... but I doubt it. Customer service is worthless and emails lead to no acceptable answer. What a huge waste of money. My advice? IGNORE THIS PLACE. LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Yelp
Went here for our anniversary and had a fantastic time. Pool was a few degrees warmer that a regular pool so felt great in the heat. Very big pool so not crowded. Tubing coarse was cool and snack bar had just about everything.Water was incredibly clear.Definitely would recommend for a swim or relax with great scenery

Yelp
We loved everything about our stay. Chad at the front desk went above and beyond; customer service was exceptional. We normally don't love hotel-provided breakfasts but in this case we looked forward to the hot breakfast every morning. We will definitely be back!
