Hotel Morteratsch

We didn't stay at the hotel, but the restaurant, the views and the location is absolutely beautiful, overlooking the Monterach Glacier. Location is so fun and convenient at the Bernina train station station with just a hop on the train to either Tirano or St. Moritz.

The hotel is right next to the train station in a truly beautiful spot. It’s surrounded by stunning nature as well as a lovely small dairy that offers great brunch. They also have some rabbits and mini goats that delighted the kids. The family room was in the annex. Simple but perfectly functional and clean. Breakfast was great. The restaurant felt a bit expensive but it’s just Swiss prices. All in all a fantastic place. I just wish we stayed longer.

Three wonderful days in an exceptional location. With personalized service that immediately makes you feel at home. It wasn't our first time there, and it won't be our last!

We stayed here last year December. Wonderful place with great glacier views. Hotel is conveniently located near the train station. The restaurant serves small portions of meals which I hope they can improve.

Stayed here in January to see the mountains in snow and do some walking and touring by train. This is a very good location right next to the railway station with outstanding views from the hotel. The walking track to the glacier snout is 5km and is a great walk to take in the outdoors. A great and reasonable priced half board option as well. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable, cosy, charming. Unforgettable experience . highly recommended. Amazing view, near to Morteratsch Gletscherzunge and St Moritz. very clean and warm. delicious breakfast. very nice and responsive staff. Have any desire to come back here again

Nice and comfortable, it’s like the postcard place like a dream. The food in the restaurant is wonderful. The only issue is not informing non locals about the exact station to alight. The address of the location is Pontresina (which is 2 further stops away), however, the actual stop is Morteratsch. We had trouble taking the train in the reverse direction because the train ticket doesn’t allow bidirectional.

Location right beside the train is unbeatable for exploring the Engadin/Bernina region. The room was cozy, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. As I did sunset and night shoots towards Morteratsch I missed dinner - but the hotel is super convenient for such activites.
