Yelp
Really enjoyed the stay at this cozy hotel. For the price point, it's a solid value in a convenient part of town, right near the First gondola. Was fortunate to get an upgrade to a larger room, with mountain views and a large balcony. The bathroom was recently renovated, though felt a bit claustrophobic. Bed and bedding were comfortable, though it was a bit difficult adjusting the room temperature and felt a bit too warm. There was a dearth of electrical outlets, for those of us concerned with charging devices.
From the sign out front, the hotel is more than 100 years old, and is in a traditional chalet style. It exudes comfort and warmth. There's a sauna, steam room, and game room on site, though didn't use any of these facilities.
Breakfast was included in the rate and was a good way to start the day. There's all the coffee and juice you'd want, as well as different breads, cheeses, and cold cuts. The quality of the offerings was very good.
There's a lounge area in the back with a fire place, which makes it a nice spot to relax with a beverage. The hotel seems to be family run, and service is friendly and professional.
