Glider Cafe

Good food, pretty detailed menu with a lot of interesting meals. Quiet area and across the road from kings cross station which is a bonus. Decently priced for quality food. Indoor and outdoor seating. Didn’t have a wow factor but was a nice little place.

I’m so serious when I say this has got to be the best breakfast place I’ve ever been to. Me and my friends stopped here for brunch while waiting for our laundry to finish washing at the laundromat right by it and ended up going every single day after that. I’m not joking when I say every single food and drink item we got throughout that whole week was phenomenal. We got breakfast stuff like the your choice of eggs and sourdough toast plate which was INSANE LIKE SO GOOD and lunch items like the pulled pork sandwich and wraps. Every single one was even better than the last, and the drinks were so so good too. I got an iced matcha latte and a strawberry matcha which I think was seasonal but god the strawberries were fresh crushed and the matcha was delicious! Another day I got the hot mocha. And oh my god. That has got to be the best mocha I think I’ve ever had in my life, it was hot out so I was skeptical getting a hot drink but god I’m thankful I did because DAMN that was a life changing drink. One of my friends even went for a second round of food after finishing his first round because it was just that good. Not only that, the prices were just as good as the food! The atmosphere is so cute too, little chairs outside on the patio and cute tables, very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Perfect for enjoying the summer weather! All the workers are super nice too, very accommodating and friendly!! I think leaving this cafe behind after leaving Australia was the most devastating part of my trip, honestly might have been my canon event. I miss it every single day. It’s been like two weeks since I left and I still long for the day I return. U might catch me returning to Sydney just to eat here again…

Super nice and genuine people, amazing atmosphere and chill music. Outside sitting - makes everything even better. Food was fresh, tasty, and delicious :)

Food was okay, got the blt sandwich so it’s hard to mess it up, but the chips tasted like fish and made me lose my appetite, food was presented on the plate beautifully Service was good but could be better, the staff did not seem like they wanted to be there but were still friendly and helpful that’s why they get a 4 The atmosphere was okay, but there was no seating inside

Welcome to Australia! First place to eat at after 19 hour flight and they laid out the welcome mat. Very cool joint with very few tables inside and out. A little busy but no wait. Nice, varied selection of dishes and ridiculously good coffee. It was very near our apartment in Kings Cross and became our go to! Staff became friends and we won't forget them.

It's a nice little cafe near Kings Cross station. I was looking for a particular food item, which at that moment was no longer on the menu. But after talking with the staff, they were actually happy to prepare it, which I really appreciate!!! The service was good, and the staff was sweet & helpful. The food is great & delicious. I'll definitely come back.

Beautiful cozy cafe tucked along the street. Outdoor seating. The food menu seems good. I stopped here to get some chai latte which was very disappointing. Didn't taste much like a chai latte. The staff is friendly , good breakfast / brunch menu however the drinks can be better !

Quiet lunch on a weekday left the place all to ourselves, which was nice. Lovely retro decor and a sweet ambience gave that extra bit of comfort. You can order from their all-day breakfast or lunch menus or from the specials board. As far as food goes, not bad. Their avocado toast special - of which there are three to choose from - was a highlight. Reasonable price for what was given and quite delicious. My partner's food was a less impressive burger, especially for the price. On departure, we realised the ingredients given didn't match that was ordered, which explained the strange flavours. Freshly squeezed juices were lovely and are open to choice, as to what you wish blended. This was worth it. Overall, for the price, it's not bad where Sydney is concerned. A little more pricey, but it's to be expected given the location. Wouldn't be an issue for the cost if the food was all that it says it is meant to be. The only thing holding the fourth star of this review was the service. The gentleman who served us was very laid-back, authentic and was invested comfortably in our experience. Didn't feel pressed or at odds. All in all, it's worth the trek to the Point.

A good find in Potts Point. The coffee is good. Service with a smile. Simple healthy menus. We enjoyed Sunday brunch. Interesting seating!! A bit hard to eat at the tables,I sound like an oldie complaining, sorry !! Yes we will definitely return.

FOOD is excellent, very fresh and pure flavors. According to the owner the ingredients are bought at the markets each day and you can clearly taste this. We were having late lunch so only 2 items in the menu were available since the day's ingredients were used up. I like the idea of not wasting food. If you are a big eater the portion may be a bit small. I had a green papaya and prawn salad and tasted a bit of a duck salad, both great. The dessert, sticky rice with mango was perfect. As the kitchen was closing we also got a slice of their coconut cake which is definitely worth trying. Kitchen is open, so you can see where your food is prepared if you like. ATMOSPHERE is also great and super relaxed. The owner is friendly and was genuinely enjoying chatting with us, telling about their food and serving us. His wife was very sweet as well. They seemed to have a lot of regulars. Some stopped just for a quick chat walking past. Glider is very welcoming because of the friendly owners and the interior of the place.

Finding good food in Kings Cross and Potts Point is difficult. Finding good coffee is much harder. When Glider opened that got a lot easier. The breakfast menu features much you would expect, but there are a few Glider-specific items worth exploring. Try the banana, peanut butter and blue gum honey toast or the sticky rice with honeydew and mango. Declaring itself an espresso bar and an Asian eat house, not only will you get a great coffee, there's an exciting contemporary Asian menu to dine from. Come lunch you can get banana blossoms and duck salad, green papaya and prawn salad or a 'glider' burger of Peking duck on brioche. Get in early if you want one of their duck rice paper rolls, they go quick!

Went to Glider and had a great experience. Absolutely delicious avocado toast with Haloumi cheese and pumpkin. A simple, inventive and delectable dish. Great tea, great service, would head back in a heartbeat.

This is probably some of the best flavoured food in Potts Point. The avocado toast is probably in the top 10 I've ever had. Glider, will you marry me?

A great little cafe to catch up for a coffee with a few friends. The coffee was nice and strong and the food was also quite tasty. I would recommend the chicken wrap and wagyu beef burger.
