The Glitch is in the system, not in the coffee. First review since I got back from Japan in September 2025. There's nothing that can describe the coffee, rather than being there and slowly sipping it. It really is the finest cup of coffee that I've had in my life. It sure comes with a lot of challenges which includes long waiting lines, but for an experience like this trust me it's all worth the wait. You enter and you're welcomed and showed different varieties of coffee to choose from, it surely does a whole in your pocket, but the experience is truly worth all. We ordered a iced pour over and a iced latte, the coffee costed us nearly 4000 yen for both, though it left us with memories, truly a cup of coffee you shouldn't be missing if you're in Japan. We could literally feel the notes, the staff was very helpful and guided us in the best possible way. A must Recommend!!

TLDR; one of the only spots in Tokyo that felt like worth the wait. Let me start by saying that we got the the shop 30 minutes after it opened and waited in line for 50 minutes before we got to the front of the line. Honestly there were moments where I was ready to leave, but I’m glad we stayed. The coffee here is really an experience, I love that you can pick your own beans. The result is truly worth the time - the latte was silky smooth and absolutely luxurious to the point where we ordered seconds. The seating space is small but definitely worth spending time in. I saw a lot of folks taking their coffee to go, but we definitely enjoyed hanging out in the shop.

Line up at 9:20am, waited for an hour. It was a very underwhelming experience. You can taste the different notes in the coffee beans as described however, the acidity is off, and it tasted a lot more sour than it should be. Before you enter the shop, they ask you how many cups you are getting. The couple in front of us got offered a takeout discount. We overheard it because we were right behind them in the line however when we got there, this offer no longer existed and when I asked them what the difference is between dine in and takeout, they said no difference. This felt discriminatory. After entering the shop, someone asks about your preference and helps you choose what to drink. The poor server showcasing the different flavours of coffee probably has to do this all day, repeating himself over and over again. This server seems tired and was not very enthusiastic. The shop itself is very crowded with limited space for seating. The atmosphere was not enjoyable to be in. For a cup of coffee costing ~¥1700 on average, you can spend your money elsewhere for a better experience. There are lots of other drip coffee places around Tokyo, and the Glitch has sister shops by the same owner. I would not spend this much time and money on this subpar experience.

A highly recommended coffee shop for those traveling in Tokyo. However, there was a long queue and I waited about 30–45 minutes. Customers enter the shop one by one because the space is limited. There are many coffee beans from around the world to choose from. The staff were friendly and ready to suggest coffee beans and menu items that suited my taste.

We stopped by this café and tried the Brazil M&F and Honduras Santa Bárbara drip coffees. Watching them make the coffee was honestly part of the experience — the brewing process was super detailed, and the staff explained everything with care and enthusiasm, almost like a mini coffee workshop. Both coffees tasted good, leaning on the acidic, bright side typical of lighter roasts. The only downside was the wait — it took more than an hour before we got our drinks. The place is clearly popular, so be prepared if you’re in a rush. Still, the staff were amazing and very welcoming, and the whole setup felt relaxed and thoughtful. If you don’t mind the long wait and want a specialty coffee made with true attention to detail, this spot is worth checking out.

I must admit, the line at Glitch Coffee was wild! I queued for almost two hours in the light drizzle, but honestly, it turned out to be such a memorable experience. If you’re into specialty or third-wave coffee, Glitch is absolutely worth the wait. You can really feel the passion behind their craft, from the careful bean selection to the precise brewing process. Their menu features a great range of Geisha beans and some fascinating experimental-process varieties, perfect for coffee enthusiasts who love exploring unique flavors. Even though the staff were incredibly busy, they still found time to answer my (many!) questions about the beans with patience and detail. I ordered the Sky Project Ethiopia Tamiru Tadesse, which turned out to be wonderfully sweet and well-balanced. My husband tried the Geisha Finca Nueva Alianza, an aromatic and elegant cup that left a lasting impression. Both were simply outstanding! If you’re a specialty coffee lover, Glitch Coffee is a must-visit in Tokyo. But if you’re more of a milk-based coffee drinker, you might want to skip the two-hour wait, this place truly shines in its pure, black filter coffee form.

Staff really know their stuff. Impressive choice of infused bean choices. Take your time to slowly enjoy your drinks. If you really want to enjoy the different types, order the flight. Lattes, Espresso, and pour over available. Great spot to chill and listen to their music selection, not overly loud. Be aware there will likely be a line up.

We randomly found this specialty coffee spot near our lunch place and decided to try it. There was a short wait of about 20 minutes, which built up the anticipation.Once inside, the staff were fantastic. They patiently introduced us to their different coffee beans. We ended up ordering a latte, and I chose a bean with a fruity aroma.Although I'm not usually a big coffee lover, their coffee was so good that it will definitely make me want to come back next time. The coffee is a bit pricey compared to chain franchises, but you are absolutely paying for the quality. It's worth every penny.
