"Not so long ago, Reykjavík’s restaurants focused almost exclusively on meat and fish dishes. Nowadays there are a growing number of vegetarian and even vegan spots, plus several places with a focus on healthy eating—such as the pioneering Gló, which opened back in2007 and now has several other branches throughout the city. Gló'smenuchanges daily to reflectthe season and the marketandfeatures four main dishes, one of which is usually raw. Besides the entréeson the main menu, the compelling list ofdessertsprovides further proof that it's possible for healthy food to taste great too."

Excellent food and service. If you want a warm vegan meal close to everything, this is the place. The flavor combinations are exceptional. Great place to experiment and get ideas for your own cooking. The staff is so friendly or you just want to give them a big hug. I highly recommend.

Only some vegan options. Locals said they sold pizza but there was no pizza on the menu. Quite pricey. Sides to the main course tasted bland. Beautiful and warm interior ambiance. You take a menu, order at the register, take a seat, and the staff will bring the food to you. Water pitchers are free and can be taken to your table. Although the staff were quite pleasant, service was a bit slow, in my opinion, due to the high customer volume with only a few workers. It was a nice visit but I will not return.

This is by far my favourite place to eat in Reykjavik. It's 100% vegan (as of March 2018), reasonably priced and the food is so tasty and fresh. It was also my daughter's favourite place which is really saying something for such a healthy place! It is also heaven for gluten free vegans with something like 8 options to choose from. I actually wish I'd eaten here for every meal and am really missing the place now I'm back home! The raw cakes are devine as well.

I was excited to try one of Icelands all vegan restaurants. Its definitely worth a stop for vegans visiting Iceland. It is pretty expensive. I was not blown away by the food. I definitely felt the food was quality but could have been more tasty. The raw snickers was the best thing I tried. The lasagna was good and would order again. I would never get a wrap again, and the bowls were ok. Since they are vegan I have to recommend them but be ready to spend some cash.

Lovely vegan restaurant! I love how many vegan friendly places are in Iceland but this was one of my favourites. Most people in my group got a ‘bowl’ which all looked yummy, but I got the BBQ Pulled Oumph burger, mostly because we all wanted to know what Oumph (which kept showing up on the menu) was. I’m guessing it’s jackfruit from the texture, and it actually tasted just like meat was a nice surprise! The restaurant itself was really cute, and though a bit small we did easily find a table for 10. Also, the green smoothie was weirdly spicy? But otherwise this is a great place to check out!

Great place to come and chill. Relaxing vibes and great menu choices. Good vegan options which I am happy about and the food was very filling. Their hot chocolate can also be made vegan and it actually tastes like chocolate. Staff are friendly and the place seems very clean and new looking. Also hygiene is very good and staff wear disposable gloves when serving up food.

Gló is a delicious restaurant in Reykjavik that is vegetarian friendly , reasonably priced, has a good atmosphere, and very fresh high quality and healthy food. We had a great lunch there and would highly recommend it to anybody. The vegan lasagna was a highlight, and they also give free unlimited hummus , which is a huge plus. If you are in Reykjavik and want a healthy, hearty, tasty meal , go to Gló

Such delicious food. I was pretty stoked to find out about it. I’m vegan and can have problems finding food while traveling. Then I found this place and I had multiple options!!! You mean I have to decide between all the deliciousness? No way, I’ll just come back multiple days and try many things. I had the Mediterranean bowl one day and the Indian Dahl another. The Mediterranean was my favorite. Good portion sizes and decent price.
