Global Hotel Panama (Panama City, Panama) 4 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Sleeping in a modern mixed-use skyscraper might not be what you had in mind when you first thought of a trip to a tropical destination like Panama. The concept does sound a little cold, especially since the Global Hotel Panama is one of those hotels that doesn’t occupy the whole building, just the ground level and six upper floors. But hear us out. This is one of the most popular hotels in Panama City. Not because it’s terribly cozy, or for the style, which is pleasant enough. It’s in other categories that the Global Hotel Panama really delivers: excellent service, solid amenities, and location, location, location." - Tablet Hotels

Review for Global Hotel Panama I had the pleasure of staying at Global Hotel Panama for 3 nights from January 3rd to 6th, and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ensuring that everything was perfect. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel’s location is ok, making it easy to explore the city and access nearby attractions. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast—delicious and with plenty of variety to suit every taste. The amenities, including the fitness center and pool, were also top-notch and added to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Global Hotel Panama for anyone visiting the area. It’s a great choice for both leisure and business travelers, and I look forward to returning in the future!

Don’t make the mistake of staying here!! I’m totally regretting it. The dining options are hardly any! The breakfast buffet is way below average. Shower is another nightmare! Hot water comes for a few seconds and then you are stranded in the cold shower helpless! They tried to fix it, but couldn’t.

My wife and I stayed at a variety of beautiful hotels in Panama City. The Global hotel had the best service. Merlin and Nicole at the reception are kind, welcoming, and helpful. The food at the restaurant is excellent. We strongly recommend this lovely hotel.

Review: Global Hotel, Panama City, Panama I recently stayed at the Global Hotel in Panama City for seven days, and I must say, the experience was top-tier in terms of customer service. Whatever we needed, at any hour of the day or night, the staff made sure we had it. If something couldn’t be provided immediately, trust that it was there first thing in the morning. The attention to detail and care was exceptional. One of the pleasant surprises was the bar and restaurant downstairs, which was a fantastic addition to an already stellar 5-star experience. The cleaning services were also impeccable—everything was pristine, and my stay was overall wonderful. There were a few standout features that made my stay memorable. Given that Panama rains for most of the year, I thought it was a thoughtful touch that the hotel provided umbrellas for guests to use during their outings. You could take one whenever you needed and return it later—definitely a cool perk. Another highlight was the complimentary champagne they welcomed me with upon arrival. It was my birthday, and that small gesture truly set the tone for my stay. The hotel’s location in the financial district was also perfect, as it was close to all the restaurants we wanted to visit. Now, onto a couple of things that could be improved. As a 5-star hotel, I did expect a bit more in terms of ambiance. There was a distinctive smell when getting off the elevator or entering the hotel room, which was a bit off-putting, especially after a long flight or day of exploring the city. I’d recommend placing air fresheners on each floor or in every room to counter this. Another addition I think would elevate the experience is providing microwaves in the rooms. After late nights out, it’s inconvenient to have to go down to the lobby to reheat leftovers. A microwave in the room would solve this. Despite these minor critiques, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and have even shared my experience on TikTok. The front desk staff and hotel team worked hard to ensure we were taken care of, from handling our luggage to catering to our every need. The bar and restaurant were great, with reasonably priced food and drinks. I will definitely revisit and recommend Global Hotel to anyone planning a stay in Panama City.

Amazing hotel overall. This was my second stay here after a work trip a few years ago. ||The staff were all incredibly helpful from the start. ||The room was great with a beautiful view of Panama City, the gym was great, and the pool/jacuzzi were fantastic! ||The breakfast buffet was a little pricey for what you got, I would recommend just getting something nearby for a whole lot less money. Otherwise, zero complaints, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel in Panama! The location couldn’t be better, putting everything within easy reach. Each morning, the breakfast was a different, featuring Panamanian specialties that kept things fresh and exciting. We had to leave early one morning for a guided tour and they even gave us a breakfast box to go. It was all so nice! The staff was always warm and welcoming. Both the gym and pool were top-notch, adding to the overall comfort. While the gym sometimes lacked AC, it was a minor issue in an otherwise fantastic experience. Highly recommend and would love to come back.

I recently stayed at this hotel for seven days. I also had a group of eight stand this hotel as well with me as I celebrated my 26th birthday. I love that this hotel is located within the financial district of Panama, which means that is close to everything that’s within the area. In terms of customer service this hotel made sure that their staff was well trained and excellent in this area. They make sure everything that we needed that we had and if we didn’t have what we needed they will make sure that it was there by the morning time when we went out the next day in the city. The attention to detail was phenomenal. They also welcomed us a glass of champagne on our welcome due to me celebrating my birthday at this specific hotel. ||||One of the Pleasant surprise was that they had a restaurant/bar downstairs in the hotel lobby, which you can go to from 6:30 AM until 10:30 PM which also offered room service up to your room if you wanted to have food later on in the night. The bar service and cleaning service was impeccable. I couldn’t have asked for a better staff to make sure that we were taken care of. Make sure that you always tip when people are taking good care of you, especially at this hotel it goes a long way.||||Now, onto a couple of things that I feel as though the hotel could’ve did better in, since this hotel is a five stars hotel I would expect for them to offer microwaves in each room in which they didn’t so whenever you order food, you have to go to the lobby and heat it up. This is was super inconvenient when it’s late at night, and you’re in your night clothes you don’t want to go to the lobby to heat up your leftovers. Also, there was a distinctive smell on the hotel floor and in the rooms whenever you get back from inside, this can be something that could be fixed, especially when you’re coming in from a long flight or torn the city you would expect a better smell. I recommend having air fresheners on each floor and in and in the rooms to get rid of whatever the-smells. ||||Despite these critiques, I would still go to this hotel all over again. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I have shared my experience on TikTok. The front desk works hard to make sure that we were taken care of one of the highlights with this hotel is the umbrella service, ordered because Panama rains 9 months of the year and you are allowed to borrow them and place them back upon returning to the hotel. Another highlight is my friend left her rare Stanley cup and the hotel knew she was apart of our party, and made sure we got it to give to her back in the U.S. Also, the hotel even keeps your bags locked up when checking out instead carrying it around the city until your flight you can leave it at the front desk and comeback to get it right before your flight.

Terrible experience. 4 engineering visits, 2 room move offered in a space of 2 hours. ||1st engineering visit.||Upon checking into our room, we discovered that the shower wasn’t functioning properly due to low water pressure. When we tried to contact the front desk to address the issue, the phone didn’t work, so therefore had to go down from the 17th floor to report it in person.||2nd, 3rd and 4th engineering visit.||The front desk suggested moving us to a different room, and we agreed. However, in the new room, the overhead shower wasn’t working either, so the engineering team had to come and adress the issue. After they left, we attempted to shower, only to find there was no hot water. They returned to resolve the issue, but after my partner showered, the shower stopped working again. The engineering team had to come back a fourth time, and though they eventually got it working, we were told that we could either use the hot shower or the sink, but not both simultaneously, as using the sink would cause the hot water to fail. Consequently, we couldn’t shower in the morning. We were offered another room, but I refused, see below as to why.||Technical issues can happen in any hotel, but my primary concern was how the situation was handled. After offering us a third room, I expected the hotel staff to personally check everything before suggesting another move. However, the front desk was quick to suggest another room without providing a clear answer when I asked what would happen if the issues persisted. The response was simply, "This is the only option I can give you" (I wish the phone call had been recorded).||The front desk team needs additional training on five-star service and better communication with guests, as the way I was treated fell far below expectations. If a third room move is necessary, staff should ensure the room is thoroughly checked beforehand.||There was no follow-up from the front desk after checkout, nor was any compensation, recovery or apologies offered.||This is not the level of service one would expect from a five-star hotel in cities like London or New York. I truly wish the call had been recorded so this could be used as training purposes on how to not deal with situations as such.||Please note that we are not difficult guest and we are fully understand the issues within hotel facilities that may arrise from time to time and often beyond control of team members on duty. But it is the responsibility of the managers on duty to ensure that guest are looked after and treated accordingly. Something that I felt was missing.
