Globe Backpackers & City Oasis Resort

Staying in Globe Backpacker for almost 1 month, the location is perfect! Just next to the Perth station, very convenient for food or shopping. The staff here are really nice and helpful, making me feel like home. Special thanks to Craig, Dave, Kevin, Sherry. Thanks for all the nice memories sharing with you! If I will back Perth, definitely will choose here again. And highly recommend to everyone!

The place is cheap, clean and would benefit the casual travellers looking for a cheap no thrills, budget accommodation. Staff are very distant, unwelcoming and care little whilst more than happy to take your money. Service is not really extended more than the hand held out to accept the fee for accommodation, time is strictly adhered to, ie you have to be out of here by 10:00 am or pay for an extra day. Guests can enjoy alcohol if that is their want, the resulting noise is for everyone else to deal with. Upon booking out, you cease to exist, any baggage has to be off the premises with your sorry ass, unless you want to leave your key deposit, staff really are jaded, uncompromising and care for little else other than the appropriate nightly payment.

It's fine for a no frills, cheap stay but you can do better!! Seriously I don't know why with all the tourists and backpackers Australia has so many bad hostels, but this is another one of them. First of all, some of the guests were not tourists but rough-looking Australians (homeless?). It's not that clean. Was not sociable as barely any other tourists or backpackers there. It feels dark and dirty inside. The staff are distant, but they weren't unfriendly., just didn't care. I'm never booking an independent hostel again in Oz, had enough bad experiences at them in less than 2 months here.

Very expensive to stay here. Do yourself a favour and avoid this hostel. The staff never smile which makes you feel unwelcome whilst staying there. The worst thing is the homeless Australian guests that live here, they are rude, either drunk, high or sniffing butane one woman did this in the room constantly then snored all day and night . The computer downstairs is never working and the same with the wifi they tell you its getting fixed but I was there for 4 weeks and it was not working at all during my stay. There's longterm Australian residents who are not that pleasant to be around either they are very clicky and hangout around the only guest area all day and night every day and take over the one television in the guest lounge so you won't get a chance to watch a program. There is only two stoves so there are long waits to get some cooking done. The rooms are never properly cleaned they either don't vacuum or don't empty the bins because the guy who works at reception is the cleaner as well. I do not recommend staying here there are better hostels in the area or in the free bus zone to the city.

My stay in Globe Backpackers is an unforgettable memory. There, I could make good friends and spend good time with them. All staff members are especially kind and nice. Furthermore, it is close to the Train Station & Woolworth. I recommend you to add this backpackers to your accommodation list.

Nice staff! The lovely pommy receptionist was awesome! Affordable room, (the fridge was a bit dirty but for $65 for my own room it was sufficient). Would love to stay here in the summer time to use the pool! Thanks guys!

Everytime I require a backpackers to stay at I always book at Globe. The staff who fun reception are always polite, respectful and courteous. They all go out of thier way to ensure that you are comfortable and have a great knowledge of the business. The rooms are always clean and tidy. The amenities are close to every room. If you want to talk to someone, the staff are always available to give you the time and even have the courtesy to remember your name. In my opinion, Globe is one of Perths best backpackers.

Everythings perfectly perfect. Not dirty like the other backpackers, its also have a swimming pool, international dorm for foreigners so you will be comfortable because not sharing with the homeless as you know.. homeless not really care about their hygiene.
