Gloria Manor

We booked a four night stay at Gloria Manor hoping for a relaxing time as part of our holiday around Taiwan. This proved to be that and more, a really special place. The room overlooking the pool, lawn and mountain scenery was breathtaking every morning. The staff were all so kind and helpful, going the extra mile (thank you in particular to Paul). The breakfasts every morning were great and the free shuttle bus made accessing town and the national park easy. Truly beautiful.

“A Peaceful Retreat in Kenting” Gloria Manor exceeded all my expectations. The location is simply perfect – set apart from the busy tourist areas, it offers a truly peaceful and serene atmosphere, ideal for anyone who wants to relax and recharge. At the same time, it couldn’t be more convenient: the complimentary shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes and takes you straight to Kenting Street and other main attractions, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Waking up to such scenery every morning was a highlight in itself. The food is another strong point – fresh, flavourful, and consistently excellent, whether at breakfast or dinner. What makes the stay even more memorable is the sense of calm throughout the property. It never feels crowded, and the overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I left feeling completely refreshed. Gloria Manor is without doubt one of the best places to stay in Kenting – a perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and natural beauty. I would highly recommend it and would love to return on my next visit.

My husband and I had an amazing time at this resort! The staff was incredibly friendly and the complimentary programs kept us entertained throughout our stay. This is the perfect hotel to stay at if you want to relax and visit the forest parks in Kenting. ||The hotel is in a quiet, secluded area, but only a 5 minute drive to Kenting Main Street where the Night Market is. It is also a 5 minute drive to Kenting / Sheding Forest Recreation Areas, which are wonderful areas to hike and see the unique ancient coral landscapes. The hotel has free shuttle service to both areas.||The hotel has impeccable service with staff everywhere ready to help with a smile. The check-in process was the best I've ever had (drink + cold towel) and someone ready to take your bags.||The room and bathroom is large, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom has a large soaking tub.||There is a large pool area with an amazing view of the mountain with free Popsicles in the afternoon. Note: you need a swim cap to use the pool.||Breakfast is table service and was very good with vegetarian options. A great way to start the day.||Signage is in both English and Chinese, and the staff knows basic English, so we had no language issues.||I cannot recommend staying at this hotel enough and I would absolutely stay here again when I come back to Kenting.

This is truly the very best five-star hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment you arrive, you receive a welcome drink and a cold towel, and this is really important in a warm country like Taiwan. The level of professionalism is truly beyond words. The room was exceptionally clean, and the view was breathtaking. I only stayed for one night and didn't really have time for a massage, but they were willing to give me a massage at 8 am, even though they don't usually start until 10 am. The breakfast isn't a buffet, but you have several choices. Everything was truly fresh and tasted delicious. I am definitely planning on coming back to Taiwan and will certainly return to this hotel.

The rooms were spacious and lovely. The breakfast and dinners were very tasty. The pool was very large and clean. The life guards offered footballs and pool floats. The hotel could get you a taxi to the city within minutes. Overall a very pleasant stay

We had a wonderful stay at Gloria Manor. It is a 5 star view and service. The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and responsive. They clearly prioritize customer service. We loved being the little bit away from the busy beach area perched up in the mountains with glorious views. It is worth ensuring you book an ocean view room! Beverages, tea, and snacks were stocked daily, and the little touches like a reusable glass water bottle with filling stations as higher quality slippers were a convenient touch. We were without a vehicle and felt no inconvenience at all. The hotel shuttle runs as often as you need it and will get you to the most frequented spots any time (park entrance, beach, night market). Breakfast was exceptional and the pool area was lovely - huge, super clean, well-maintained, quiet, and has all the little extras you need. Our only wish was that the restaurant had more light snacks or meals at a more reasonable cost. We ended up feeling a bit forced to go down to the main street for lunch and dinner, a street with limited hours and options, even though we would have preferred to have remained at the hotel at times. Overall, we loved our stay, were sorry to have to leave, and will certainly plan to return one day. Ignore any negative reviews. I have a fairly high bar when it comes to hotels, particularly around cleanliness and decor, and it was easily met.

We spent two nights here during our trip through Taiwan. The hotel is beautiful. The scenery is amazing. Kenting National Park is absolutely stunning. It’s very close to Kenting and a short drive to the beach. Our favorite was white sand beach! |Checking in was at 16 o’clock. I think that’s too late. The day is almost done, so in my opinion a hotel should have check-in at maximum 15 o’clock or earlier. Room was beautiful. Swimming pool was nice. Breakfast was not a buffet, but fixed options. I thought there could be more options. For a vegetarian there were only three, and there could be more egg options in my opinion. And I like it when you can get your own drinks (fruit juices and so on). Further it was very nice. And the quality of the food was great. |Staff were very friendly. Highly recommended!

This is our favorite hotel in Kenting. It is a five-star hotel with amazing views of the ocean and the mountains. I highly suggest getting a room that comes with breakfast. You won't regret it. I also suggest setting up time for a massage or facial at the spa. Vivian does amazing work to help you feel relaxed and refreshed. The other thing that we love about the hotel is being able to reserve afternoon high tea. They have some nice tea to select from and a delicious array of food for their afternoon tea. It is not your typical afternoon tea but has a unique twist with an Asian flair. We also found that they have the best beef noodle soup in Taiwan. We had a chance to test the beef noodle soup in some of the best places in Taiwan but ultimately decided that the beef noodle soup at Gloria Manor was hands-down the best. If you order it you can thank me later. If you are looking to get pampered refreshed and relaxed this hotel is a perfect place to recharge.
