A true hidden gem! Even though I knew where it was, I nearly walked past it. The drink menu is extensive, and the baked goods are fantastic. I had the croque mousse croissant, which was absolutely delicious, and the crème brûlée pastry was gently warmed to preserve all its flavor. The apricot custard Danish was also lovely. My latte was perfectly made, and I appreciated that the matcha latte came with options for different syrups and sweeteners — I had it plain, and it was still delicious! A friend really enjoyed the beans on toast and a filtered coffee. The atmosphere is great — spacious and tucked into a foyer at the back, which gives it a cozy but open feel. It’s a dog friendly place. I had a pleasure of patting one of the customers’ lovely doggy. A bonus! The staff were lovely, and we had a wonderful experience overall. Highly recommend!

Rating for coffee only (not “food”). Excellent coffee. I had my usual 6 ounce iced latte. Very smooth and moorish. Actually not my personal favourite because I like it a bit more bitter. But 90% of people will prefer it this way. Also not my preferred roast like Havana. I tend to go for something darker and often do not enjoy Supreme. But this time I enjoyed it. Watched savoury food go by to other tables and looked delicious. I’m defo coming back for lunch here one day. I did have a peach pastry which I thought was excellent. Very spacious and cool temperature wise. Comfy space with variety of seating options. With outdoor seating in the sun for those wanting it. Staff clearly take pride in their offering and it shows.

I’ve been here twice before and the food was really good — we absolutely loved it, which is why I confidently suggested this place again. This time, I brought my friends and my sister who had just arrived the day before. I wanted to treat them for a Valentine’s Day brunch since they love matcha, especially Glou Glou was using Nomu Matcha Brand. Unfortunately, this visit was a big disappointment. The matcha tasted different — it was much milkier than usual and lacked that strong, proper matcha flavour we were expecting, especially knowing they use Nomu matcha. It just didn’t taste the same as before. The service was also disappointing. My friend ordered before me while I was still deciding, but my food arrived first. Even worse, we had almost finished eating when my sister’s food still hadn’t arrived. When we asked the server, she checked the system, and it was quite clear the order hadn’t been properly put through. They said it was a “miscommunication” and apologised, but it felt like the order was only sent after we followed up. It was honestly embarrassing and awkward, especially since I was the one who recommended the place to my friends and sister. I’ve had good experiences here before, which makes this visit even more disappointing.

We stopped in for a couple of coffees before a morning walk and unfortunately left feeling a little disappointed with the service. When we arrived, the café was quite empty with only one other table occupied, who had already been served. We were seated by the hostess and told she would come back with water, but she didn't return. Two other tables arrived after us and were welcomed and served by the hostess before us. Considering there were only a few tables in at the time and we had arrived first, it was disappointing to experience a longer wait. I am hoping the order of priority wasn't due to our ethnicity, as Pakeha seemed to be the priority. We had to flag down another staff member to get any kind of service as the hostess. The setting itself was pleasant and the coffee was nice, we even order take away on the way out; but the service on this visit didn’t meet expectations. Hoping this was just an off day 🤞🏼

We were in Wellington for business and as we booked for an extended period the hotel where we are staying complemented a free breakfast here. Before we decided to eat here we thought we would pop in early for a black coffee before our morning walk. The coffee was perfect. This is where the good ceases. The service was terrible. There were only 2 other tables with customers and there were lots of staff around. Mostly talking among themselves. We waited nearly 10 mins to be asked if we wanted anything. Meanwhile another group came in after us and were immediately seated, offered water and asked for their orders. All while we waited to get our own coffee orders. I would like to think it has nothing to do with our pacific ethnicity or substantial ta moko but it's hard not to. Service didn't improve, staff didn't want to assist and the vibe by this time was shot. We decided, even for a free breakfast, we wouldn't go back.

A great morning cafe in the city centre. People here are warm and nice. The almond croissant was really good with a great size for one person. Coffee is really good and the vibe here is definitely artsy and chill.

Great costumer service, the lamington had great flavour balance, sweetness and texture. The ice ube latte however was abit weak and could be stronger as it was only a hint of ube can be tasted with was mostly milk and water. Thanks.

Love love love this place!!! I saw this cafe on social media and it’s definitely worth the hype. High quality food just look how gorgeous it is, like a piece of art. They make such good pastries 10/10. Lovely customer service too. This is the spot to catch up with friends and grab some pastry and coffee on the weekend. So grateful to have a place like this in Welly !!
