We arrived to the Glykeria hotel in the last week of May. We were travelling with 3 elderly people. The hospitality of Maria and Nicos was outstanding! Nicos even washed our car after the sand storm. Maria gave us all the informations where to go and what to see around. All the places were amazing. The rooms were extremely clean with beautiful views. In the front of the hotel there is an excellent restaurant, family business with the hotel’s owners. Food was delicious and hospitality was the same as in the hotel, the best! Among other fantastic food this restaurant is making anchovies in their own marinade. You definitely have to try them! I would definitely recommend this hotel with the restaurant to anyone. Very calm area, far from the crowds but close to the famous beach Elafonisi, surrounded with beautiful views of the sea and the mountains.

**Wonderful place, exceptional service!** We stayed here for just one night in early June, taking advantage of its proximity to Elafonissi. The room is super comfortable and the sea view is beautiful; plus, the garden with the olive trees is incredibly relaxing. The host, Maria, is extremely professional, kind and helpful - she really made the difference. If I come back to Crete, I’ll definitely stay here again.

What a gorgeous, homely place to stay. We were here for only two nights and I would highly recommend it. In fact of the three hotels we stayed in this was our favourite, for friendliness, food, comfort. And perhaps the best Greek yoghurt and honey.||The room (7) was spotless, sufficient hanging, drawer space and a lovely bathroom. The shower looks space age and is excellent.||Maria is full of energy and very welcomeing as are the rest of the staff. Special thanks to Gianni for the food and wine recommendations, and Nico for the taxi/drop off . The food is excellent and wonderfully fresh and tasty. The goat especially was the best I've ever had. The salads are ideal for a lighter meal although good to share too.||The pool area is very pleasant.||The hotel and rooms face the road yet this was not an issue at all. I didn't hear anything overnight and I'm a very light sleeper.

Maria and Niko are fab, nothing was too much trouble, they are full of great advice for the area and have a list ready for u, this is a real gem find and I would recommend if your heading this way 100% stay here. Their restaurant is in a stunning position for the sunset, and the food was fantastic, defo have the homemade lemonade, and the chocolate souffle was the best!! The hotel has a pool so that was nice to cool down after being at the beach, and the main tourist attraction Elafonisi beach is only a 10 min drive, Maria tells you all about it and you get cheaper parking because you stayed here. A must stay in mine and hubby's opinion. Can't fault it!!!

After facing some troubles with our rented car, Maria and Nikos (the owners) accepted to move our booking. Maria welcomed us very warmly, we felt home immediately. We received some suggestions of the best spots around, beach towels and we were on our way to discover the best hidden beaches 🌴 The breakfast was authentic and amazing of flavors. Finally, injuring myself at the beach, Nikos helped providing the immediate medical kit and offered to call the closest pharmacy. Thanks again to you two for your hospitality, you made our stay the best of our holiday, 🫶🏻 Julian & Paul Btw, the view from the room is amazing guys!

The Glykeria Hotel is a gem! What sets it apart is the helpfullness of the staff and the restaurant.|We stayed for two days in a standard double room. It was clean, well equipped and we had a good sea view. The pool was a welcome bonus.|We ate breakfast and dinner on both days in the restaurant across the road. The food, the service and the views were all exceptional.

The hospitality of Nikos and Maria is outstanding. Maria gave us a warm welcome and offered valuable recommendations for places to visit. Nikos assisted us with planning our hiking routes on the island. Both of them and their staff were always willing to help and consider our needs. I would highley recommend the hotel is you are looking for a beautifull and quiet place to stay without any mass tourism.

I’m reluctant to write a review as I want to keep this place a secret… |Stayed for 4 nights to explore the area. Maria welcomed us with lots of information about local beaches which we visited all but one. Each very unique and quiet compared to Elafonisi.|The room was lovely and bright, with a balcony overlooking the coastline. Tea/coffee and coffee machine in the room and toiletries. Swimming pool was a nice area and you can order drinks from the restaurant opposite. |We ate breakfast there which was 20% off for hotel guests. And had dinner there every night. Food was lovely and staff were great and really friendly. There’s also 2 or 3 other tavernas/ restaurants a short walk away, and a mini market.|It’s a 10 min drive to Elafonisi. Would recommend getting there early to beat the crowds. We only stayed the morning there, preferring the other more quiet beaches.|Was sad to leave and wish we could have stayed the remainder of our time in Crete there. But I’m sure we will be back!
