Maria and Nikos go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant, every detail is dealt with by them clean smart, peaceful rooms in beautiful surroundings , glorious pillows, and plenty of bottled water Also in the rooms are complimentary shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower gel and hand cream provided to make you feel luxurious. Would highly recommend even though we only stayed one night we loved it. Thanks for making us feel like part of the family, beautiful hotel with beautiful views.

This was one of the most wonderful hotels we stayed in during our road trip around Crete. We left feeling we had made friends for life with Maria and the family. They were so welcoming and helpful with our travel plans. The hotel room was wonderful, the pool area beautiful and nothing was too much trouble. The icing on the cake was the food in the restaurant! We have never been made to feel as welcome to anywhere!

We loved our stay at the Glykeria Hotel - the location was perfect nearby to several beautiful beaches including the famous Elafonisi beach, and our favourite, the nearby Kedrodasos beach which was one of many brilliant recommendations from Maria. Maria and the team were incredibly kind and looked after us throughout our stay, we dined at the restaurant several times for breakfast and dinner and the food was excellent. Maria is an absolute gem, she gave us great recommendations in the area as well as for our onward journey to Chania, all were spot on. The room and view were exactly as pictured, and the pool area was a real highlight for us to relax at the end of a day exploring. We would recommend this hotel for anyone looking into the area.

Would definitely recommend Glykeria over and over again!!!!! The hotel itself is neat, clean, and has a superb location! As opposed to other hotels in this area, Glykeria comes with a restaurant across the road that serves delicious breakfast, incl drinks, for a fixed price (€9pp). The views are also amazing. Our room had sea view from the balcony and mountain views from the door. From the pool or the restaurant you have both! The swimmingpool area is nice for swimming or just reading a book/playing some games. Water is clean and crisp. In general I would say that you need a rental car when travelling to Crete. With the car you are at Elafonisi beach in 5-10min (with special parking rate with the code word that the hostess will give you upon arrival). Also a 2min drive to a mini market for anything you'd want for the room of the beach. Although the hostess Maria is more than willing to provide and has done so on many an occasion for us. She is the most bubbly and kindhearted person and is literally full with tips about other worthy beaches or roadtrips when the weather is too cloudy for swimming. Trust Maria when she recommends a restaurant or view, you will not be disappointed. She and the rest of the crew at Glykeria really made the second part of our honeymoon feel like a gift. All of them are friendly and they create a really relaxed vibe. We had a wonderful time.

What can I say? This has to be one of the best places I have stayed and as you can see from my reviews I am not easily pleased.|From the very moment I booked the hotel to the day we left, communication was excellent.|Even when we arrived early Maria greeted us with a great big welcome and some bottles of water.|The room was lovely and cleanliness was spot on.|The rooms had all the Amenities needed, hair dryer, mini fridge, kettle, coffee pod machine, towels, wash and conditioner, room safe, and even free samples.||We had a first floor room and a fantastic sea view from the balcony which has a nice area for seating and fold up table to make maximum use of the space. You also overlook the bay and the Glykeria Restaurant situated on the opposite side of the road.|I cannot fault the service, friendliness and helpfulness, Maria had even written out the five closest beaches for us to visit and contact details if we should have any problems.|Nikos her husband and Maria own the restaurant and you can have breakfast and meals there.|We had Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner there and I have reviewed this seperatly as the "Glykeria Restaurant".

We had an amazing experience at Glykeria hotel, and we would love to come back someday. The room was clean and nice, the view is beautiful. Maria was super kind (everyone was) but she gave us a lot of good recommendation, and even beach towels & umbrella. The food at restaurant is delicious as well.

My goodness—Maria is a true star, and together with Nikos they run my absolute favorite hotel in Crete. I’m currently staying at a swanky 5-star resort, and honestly, I wish I had never left their heartfelt and welcoming place. The restaurant is excellent as well. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough!

**Wonderful place, exceptional service!** We stayed here for just one night in early June, taking advantage of its proximity to Elafonissi. The room is super comfortable and the sea view is beautiful; plus, the garden with the olive trees is incredibly relaxing. The host, Maria, is extremely professional, kind and helpful - she really made the difference. If I come back to Crete, I’ll definitely stay here again.
