"Lawn gnomes are a classic symbol of kitschy yard decorations, but most people are content to have just one of the little creatures posted up in their yards. Australia’s Gnomesville, a collection of thousands of the weird little statuettes set up on a roundabout is whole different beast entirely. The community of silent dwarves actually began as a whimsical protest some 20 years ago. As the Gnomesville website explains, a small bit of land in Ferguson Valley was annexed by the local government to create a roundabout. Despite an outcry from the nearby residents, the roundabout was installed, and tensions simmered. Then at some point, a gnome appeared. at first there as just one in a tree hollow, but after a few months, there were around 20. The collection continued to grow as visitors and locals alike came and dropped off their own little statues. In the decades since their first appearance the army of gnomes had exploded into the thousands. For a time, theft and vandalism stunted the growth of the little population, but today the site is fairly well respected and continues to grow as people bring their own gnomes to add to the community. There are so many gnomes now in Gnomesville, that in some spots they are even grouped up into little neighborhoods, where gnomes of the same color or attitude are placed together. Visit Gnomesville, but be sure to bring a new resident." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

Nice picturesque drive through Ferguson Valley before arriving at Gnomesville. What an enchanting place for young and old, with so many different gnomes of all shapes and sizes and poses. Easy parking. Rest rooms on site. Worth a visit.

This place is great for children and for people who love gnomes collection. Amazing volunteers to take care of this place and keeping the place organised. It is sad, though, that there are so many areas that need cleaning up or fixing as there are also broken gnomes. Overall, it is a great community connection.

Visited around 10am not crowded only few groups were around. We had our gnome to go to its new home, placing him near the yellow car. It’s a beautiful place with a little stream. My elderly mother had a walking stick didn’t climb the stairs but was able to visit the front area of Gnomesville. *No tickets are required for visiting.

This is definitely a stop that you should make if you are in Ferguson Valley. It is just on the side of the roundabout and if you drive fast you could miss it. The ‘village’ extends quite far down from the carpark. There must be thousands of gnomes here!

This is a very unique and free tourist attraction, love that the community gets behind it to keep it looking great for tourists and it doesn't get ruined

Loved wandering around the tens of thousands of gnomes. Sadly, it's been affected by recent bad weather, though. The infrastructure in place is terrific. Good parking and has an amenity block. Well worth the trip to Gnomesville.

Gnomesville is absolutely brilliant. So many gnomes of all sizes and types. I'm guessing there's a good couple of thousand of them. Was a lovely little walk through bush land seeing them all. The sign explaining how they came to be there, was interesting and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed this and will return.
