I can’t say enough about how great these guides were on this trip. They kept it safe and fun for 10 “old” guys drinking and celebrating a bday all weekend. It was all super pro and integral and just loose enough that it still felt like being out in the wilderness. Not to mention the river was stunning and we saw a ton of wildlife and they’re fantastic cooks who were even cool about amending for dietary restrictions. 5 star group

Me and the kiddo had an AMAZING time yesterday with Ryan on the San Marcos river! We were first time fly fishers and he was very knowledgeable and very patient with us as he showed us the basics on shore and then helping us perfect our technique as we floated and fished! We. Caught a couple catfish, bluegill, Guadalupe Bass and the trophy fish Longnose Gar! I HIGHLY recommend Go Outside Expedition and especially Ryan as a guide!! We'll be setting up a trip for trout season without a doubt!

What a phenomenal experience. Went on a 2-day trip on the San Marcos with a dozen friends and the guides were knowledgeable, accommodating and incredibly cool and helpful throughout. John Henry, Duval and Tom prepared everything from our kayaks and transportation logistics to perhaps the most amazing pastor tacos Ive ever had. We had people with dietary restrictions and other unique requests on and off the river that the guides also took care of. I just can't say enough good things to do this operation justice, but I'm looking for any excuse to get back out on the water with Go Outside.

Ryan and Thomas made this wading trip so easy to setup even following some storms that made a few of the local spots a muddy. Thomas was a fantastic teacher to someone with absolutely no experience fly fishing let alone any type of fishing. They answered every question we had prior to meeting up from what to wear and what to watch out for. We met up at the Blanco State Park and practiced casting and basics of fly fishing then off into the water. We moved to another spot as the sun started to get higher in the sky and caught a couple pairs of panfish. Couldn’t ask for a better day on the water. Will definitely be giving Ryan a call next time we are down near the Hill Country.

My husband and son (8 yo) had a wonderful fishing trip with Ryan and Riff! Ryan was very knowledgeable and he was doing so great with our son!! They loved the experience and will cherish it for a long time to come. I really recommend booking with Ryan and will contact him again when we are in the area.

Ryan is hands-down, the best fishing guide on the San Marcos and Guadalupe. not only does he know how to fish he’s got great stories about history and the flora and fauna. Great times!

I’ve taken other fly fishing trips locally and Go Outside is by far the best! Chris is so knowledgeable about fly fishing, fish, and the rivers! I learned so much from him and can’t wait to do another trip soon! He makes a great lunch too. I’ll definitely be purchasing some Go Outside attire for my boyfriend as well.

This is the third time I have been on the San Macros river. He is a great guide to take your family out on the river. My son and I are making this a annual trip.

Myself and a friend had a great time fishing and slowly rafting down the trout section of the Guadalupe River with Ryan. Sometimes fishing guides can be a bit intense and drill sergeant like, not Ryan. Ryan was knowledgeable, patient, and relaxed. I highly recommend this guide service and would fish with them again.
