Amazing experience for my 3 children (14,11 &9), first time surfing and with little time ever swimming in the ocean. Our instructors were super friendly and caring. The kids loved it! Thank you 😊

I loveeeed this surfing school! I was sooo hesitant at first coz I thought it’d be freezing this time of year, but they gave us warm wetsuits and I didn’t feel cold at all. The instructor, Meghan, was AMAZING – super supportive, kept cheering me on, explained everything clearly, and thanks to her I stood on the board in no time! She was just as excited as me when I could stand on the board. I had the BEST time and seriously recommend it if you’ve ever thought about trying surfing – even if you’re unsure, just go for it! 🏄‍♀️

My daughter and her friend had a great time during their surf lesson with Go Ride a Wave. The instructors were friendly and supportive, helping them feel comfortable in the water. They both enjoyed learning the basics of surfing and had fun trying to catch waves. Overall, it was a positive experience that allowed them to connect with each other and enjoy the sport.

Awesome again. My son started his journey here and loves surfing now. This was my daughter’s first time. Even though she was the youngest and lightest by a long shot, the teacher still managed to give her one on one time for a couple of waves that has boosted her confidence. The staff were very friendly and gave us excellent advice. Renting a surfboard including a wetsuit for a full day cost only $60. The beach is just a 10-minute walk away, so you can easily get there and put your surfing skills to the test. Overall, a very smooth and enjoyable experience.

Instructors good with newbies and very organised. Our local friends thought that the lesson could have been held at a better location on the beach as the surf in the lesson area was messy and very busy. There were good alternative options nearby that morning. But the lads had a great time and felt that they learned at lot.

Amazing surf school. Friendly staff who make sure they get around to everyone throughout the group lessons. I could not recommend this place more for surf lessons. I have also hired boards and wetsuits from Ride A Wave Torquay. Once again, amazing service and fairly prices.

My two sons(15 and 13 yrs old) completed 2 hrs lesson last week and it was their first time to experience surfing. Our reservation was on Sunday originally, but the class management decided to cancel class due to hot weather and crazy crowd beach for safety concern, so we rescheduled to next day lesson. I think it was very correct decision because the beach was almost empty on Monday so instructors could focus on each student more easily and safely. Before lesson I thought language may be the problem for kids to understand instruction, and it seems I worried too much because after lesson, kids were so happy saying surfing is so fun, and two instructors were very patient and explained to them clearly, and also assisted them to stand up on board successfully!
