Many local taxi drivers stand near the exit and approach passengers in an unprofessional manner, repeatedly asking if they need a cab. At times, even when passengers are not interested, some drivers continue to follow or insist, which can make travelers feel uncomfortable. I kindly request that airport security and management please look into this matter and take appropriate action to ensure a more comfortable and safe experience for all passengers.

Goa Dabolim International airport is quite a busy one at times a bit overcrowded, offering a reasonable set of amenities, shops and cafeterias. Check in arrangements are good, security is well equipped and takes little time. Nice food court with good choice of local and continental food. Souvenirs, Leather goods, jewellery: all are well represented. Getting a cab on arrival in a headache though. No Uber, just two counters on arrival, one on app which is local, another one-cash only no cards accepted. Get your cash ready 🤪

The terminal’s design is a major improvement; the seamless connection of all aircraft parking bays to the terminal via aero bridges is a massive convenience, eliminating the need for bus transfers and ensuring passengers stay protected from the elements. Inside, the attention to detail is evident, with nicely laid carpets covering all internal paths, reducing noise and adding a touch of class and comfort as you walk to the gates. Operational efficiency is also high, particularly with the baggage handling. The luggage belts are very efficiently designed and consistently maintained, leading to minimal wait times and a quick retrieval process—a welcome change after a long flight. For facilities, the airport is well-equipped. They have successfully integrated a few local touches, including a dedicated liquor shop that sells products at normal, standard rates, which is a huge plus for travelers looking for last-minute souvenirs without the typical airport price gouging. Furthermore, essential services like taxi booking counters are conveniently located inside the arrival area, and you’ll find several quality food and coffee shops to grab a quick bite before heading out or catching a flight. While the new facility is excellent, the check-in and security processing, though improved, still occasionally lag during peak travel times, which is the only reason for the missing fifth star. Overall, this renovation is a huge success and makes arriving in or departing from Goa a genuinely positive experience.

Calm atmosphere, thanks to the controlled military environment. Overall, a neat, efficient, and comfortable airport — small but incredibly effective. A genuinely pleasant travel experience.
