Located conveniently in the city centre of Frankfurt am Main, I visited a Vietnamese restaurant that, as indicated by numerous existing reviews, serves genuinely good food. The taste of the dishes I tried was indeed very satisfactory. The overall balance of flavours in the cooking was well-executed, the vegetables used in the preparations seemed fresh, and the noodles had a good texture, suggesting they were freshly made as they did not appear soggy. For those planning a visit during the day, there is a dedicated lunch special menu available. This offers the opportunity to enjoy some dishes at a slightly more affordable price point, which presents good value. However, it is important to note that the popularity of this restaurant, especially during peak lunch hours, means the queue can become quite long. My suggestion would be to arrive precisely when the lunch service begins if you wish to minimise your waiting time and take advantage of the special menu.

Tasty dishes! Friendly but I became was a bit disappointed when they charged 3 euro for a glass of tap water! Waitress said it was not normal tap water because it was filtered. I think it’s a bit too greedy. Should absolutely be free of charge. See you never! 🤓👋🏼

I have tried this restaurant at 1445 Tuesday while not many people there. However i have waited more than 35 mins for the food during the non peak hour. While i am going to toilet, i have seen 3-4 staffs are just seating here and doing nothing. Quite disappointed about the waiting time. Also, the service is terrible. A old lady staff has stopped me to drink my own prepared water in a normal reusable water bottle and say its prohibited. I totally don’t understand it as we do purchase a drink for €5.99 normal ice green tea. When i am explaining its just water, the staff said “i know but u cant drink it here” i will put a 0 star service here. In regarding the food, overall the taste isnt too bad and i will give a 4 star. The portion is large enough for 2 ppl. We are both full at the end. Curry is quite good overall. Pho isnt the best i have ever eaten but i will give a pass. Also the price is quite affordable in frankfurt city centre. To conclude, food with good portion and not too bad. 0 point with waiting time and terrible staff not allowing me to drink My own water. I will definitely not come back again And would rather try other restaurant. 2 stars overall.

Google
Popular Vietnamese restaurant serving delicious meals in a cozy setting. We went to the main restaurant but the place was busy and we’d had to wait to be seated. But they had another restaurant a few doors away. We were glad we tried the second restaurant first. The two restaurants served similar meals and the difference seem to be dining type style. First restaurant looks like dining style type where you sit down and the servers take your order. The dining area is above ground. Looks like a typical restaurant scene. The other restaurant (the one we went to) is more like canteen style. You line up, go to cashier and order your dishes. Then you sit and wait for your order to be ready, and pick up from cashier area, There’s a dining room with tables and chairs. The dining area is below ground. Very cozy and nice decor. I’m glad we dined here first and we will try the other one later. We ordered typical pho with beef flanks, noodles and greens. Meatballs were extra price. Tasty and served well for this cold weather. Although it could have use more flavor, the soup was tasty. The caramelized fish (mackerel) with rice was delicious and we really enjoyed it. The spring rolls were good too. Overall we enjoyed our lunch and we will try other dishes on their menu! I’ll rate the other restaurant soon.

Google
Very delicious vietnamese restaurants. Tried it twice in our recent Frankfurt. Fried spring rolls, fried noodle and pho tasted good! Worth waiting for seating every time. Be aware that she always has a long queue no matter lunch or dinner

Google
Nice food, Shitty service. They don’t even say sorry properly because they are “busy”. You might be told that you have one hour to eat and food will not be serve for 50 mins🤷‍♀️

Google
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Everything was so delicious and service is superb! Would definitely recommend anyone who likes Vietnamese food to visit!

Food was amazing! Service was excellent! The downstairs seating area was a nice relief from the heat.

Yelp
The food was very tasty. We ordered the pho tai and bun rieu. The soup for both was flavorful and not too sweet.

Yelp
I used the Yelp app to find a nearby restaurant to the JW Marriot. My husband and I both love Vietnamese food so we headed to Goc Pho-a quick and easy walk. Later we would realize there appears to be two parts to this restaurant-the market space on the corner or the basement (?) restaurant that we went to (I think they share a same or similar menu) which was a lovely space. The service was great (and they spoke English) as well as helpful in recommending dishes and drinks. All of our dishes were all delicious. Highly recommend and look forward to returning on our next visit.

Yelp
A nice spot for lunch. It was busy but the food came quickly and was tasty. Seating outside was possible with another group, and that worked out well. The portion sizes were perfect.

Yelp
The food was great, big potion, the staff is nice and understand both English and German. It's a cute little place feel very family style. I went there couple time before in July and now in September summer month is hard for sure and The only thing It's during the summer month, the AC is not working so it was hot inside the restaurant and many of the outside table were already taken.

Yelp
Delicious delicious all around! There was a short line when we dined at 2:30 and it still remained when we left. For good reason! The spring rolls were just ok, not bad but nothing amazing. But the pho and bun bo hue were both very rich and flavorful. The BBH was a clear color yet bold and full of flavor and spice - amazing. One souring experience factor was being asked to tip at the end - no other restaurant in frankfurt asked us that.
google avatar

Yelp
Solid Vietnamese food and a very friendly staff. The pho noodles were very well cooked and the broth was delicious. The Bun Cha Hanoi pork belly was a bit dry.

Yelp
Sehr gut immer weider gern besonders bei shootings im Studio

Yelp
Highly recommend this restaurant. I'm from Southern California and wanted warm soupy Vietnamese dishes on a snowy visit to Frankfurt. This place has honest and delicious Vietnamese dishes. Bun Bo, Banh cuon, and Banh Tom Chien were all very good. Very reasonably priced too.
google avatar

Cynthia Z.

Yelp
I was really craving asian food after a long trek throughout europe. This isn't traditional pho for sure, but that's kind of expected. The meat was a but dry but they give you plenty of pieces. adding the meatballs are worth it.
google avatar

Rachel W.

Yelp
We've been to Goc Pho a few times and are always quite happy with our meals. There's generally a long line to get a table so making a reservation is highly recommended! The food seems really fresh and definitely spicy, which can sometimes be challenging to find in Germany.

Yelp
After our recent restaurant experience, I came back to look for my review of this place and saw I never made one. We came back in August and this place was packed. Their lunch menu was pretty limited. Their summer rolls were fantastic and serving size made more sense for the size (compared to Vi Pho). I got the Com Ga Kho Gung (chicken, fresh ginger and rice) and my husband got the Pho. My husband said it was some of the best pho we've had here so far. Recommended it to friends since we can't find good pho in the local area. Curious to see what their dinner menu is like. Not sure we'd come back for lunch since their menu was pretty limited but what we had was good!

Yelp
3.7 stars It was is 89F degree day and this restaurant does have 1 fan but full of people even at 1:30pm. Very hot and stuffy inside. Chairs are hard and with no back support. Therefore if you are traveling, you don't get you back rested. Service is common to other Vietnamese restaurants, at this price point you can't ask for anything. Beef pho €10.5 -3.5stars- does have basil and small amount of bean sprouts which is yellow. Typical soup power taste you get from supermarket. Grilled Chicken rice €8.5 -3.8 stars- no tasted other than the fish sauce. No salt. If you are sick, or just off the plane and want something healthy, this is perfect! Chicken is tender and there is salad below which is refreshing. Vegetarian Summer rolls with tofu. €3.9 -5.0stars- best dishes! Maybe Vegan too? So healthy and full of favor! Everything is cut evenly and you can taste each favor. I saw many tables has mint lemonade drink. It would be refreshing to drink that in a hot day! I don't see any ice inside. I guess they don't have ice machines.
google avatar

Alicia Z.

Yelp
It was raining when my fiend and I came and we wanted something to warm us up. We got the fried tofu rolls to start. They were crispy and the dipping sauce was *cheffs kiss* The food was delicious with both of us getting the pho (I got the spicy beef and for Europe it was spicy, she got regular) we both loved what we got and will be back.
google avatar

Alexandra B.

Yelp
When we came the restaurant was full, but we waited about 5 minutes to get our table, it was pretty fast. The food is tasty, portions are big and service is ok. One of my starters goes with shrimps and pork meet, but I am a vegetarian. Waitress proposed me to make this roll without meet, I like such kind of approach. I will be happy to visit them again.

Yelp
Surprised to find Pho - not what I had planned for lunch. Place was packed when we showed up so figured that was a good sign. Opted for the #20 veggie Pho and a liter of water with mint, lime and cucumber. So - here are the details. Lots of rice noodles, bok choy and tofu. Tasty broth. Not too salty. After half a dozen or so forays into the pho with my chopsticks, I went for the siracha. That did the trick. Only thing missing would be some fresh jalapeño. Overall, really pleased with the food and the service. Still, going 4 instead of 5 as my table-mates claimed they got shorted on their tofu. Guess it was my lucky day. If you're looking for some good Vietnamese, or something vegan/vegetarian, something warm in cold whether or any combo of the above - check this place out!

Yelp
Came here on the recommendation of some Vietnamese exchange students. They said it would be authentic and my flavorful experience here did not disappoint. One of my heroes - the late great TV travel guide and writer Anthony Bourdain - consistently ranked Hanoi Vietnam as his favorite place to eat. In an iconic episode, he ate bun cha with Barack Obama on a couple of small plastic stools. Needless to say, I saw bun cha on the menu and had to get after it. Bun cha is a dish with thin noodles with pieces of meat on top served with greens and fish sauce. Simple and delicious. It's really the vietnamese flavors present in every bite - the lemongrass, cilantro, spice - that coalesce into a magically delicious dish. It was superb and it will definitely not be my last time eating bun cha.

Yelp
This place was good. I had the special spring rolls which were really good and the shrimp curry also very good. I will certainly be adding this place to my regular rotation.
google avatar

Yelp
I know yelp wants a long review but it's simple... It's pho...in Germany...and it's actually good Got the rice crepes, summer roll with pork and beef pho So good
google avatar

Yelp
Favorite appetizer: Banh Tom Chien Favorite main course: S2 BÚN RIÊU CUA (Crab noodle soup) AMAZING!
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
Yep, that's right. The best in Germany. No I haven't had all of the examples but I'm confident in my assessment! We enjoyed steamed rolls, a salad, and amazing pho. The service here is outstanding, the menu is perfection, and the restaurant is beautiful and clean. The food was perfect and the wine offerings are as well. If you are in Frankfurt, this is your spot.
google avatar

Yelp
I really enjoyed Goc Pho. The restaurant itself is quite busy but for obvious reasons. The staff friendly and fast. The food is delicious, definitely my favorite Pho in Frankfurt thus far. I love the attention to detail when it comes to plating the food and the lemonade drinks were very good. I definitely recommend coming here. Be prepared for a little wait.

Joachim H.

Yelp
Very good. We enjoyed the food. Surely worth a visit. The staff is very pleasant and friendly.

Yelp
I was working in Frankfurt for a week and wanted to give the Viet food scene a try, to my delighted surprise, discovered this hidden gem. Goc Pho is authentic, using the best local ingredients in addition to valuing "sauces" the core of all viet food. The restaurant walking distance from the Westin Grand, it does get very busy so reaching out and making a reservation is highly recommended. In two visits i have tried, the Beef Pho, the Banh Cuon Thit, the eggrolls, and the Goi Cuon Tom Thit. This spot is a must try if your in Frankfurt and love Viet food. Coming from Norcal it was a delight to find this spot. Only thing is have patience, they are busy so sometimes things are either slow or delayed.

David F.

Yelp
Before Goc Pho, China Kaiser was at the same place. Lets just say that it is a massive improvement. The food is yummi and actually spicy and the spring rolls are fantastic. The service is reasonably quick(the store is relentlessly overrun, you gotta prebook). The minus point is for the drink Pho. Don't get me wrong, it tastes great, but 5,90 for a small glas half filled with ice cubes is rough.
google avatar

Bog V.

Yelp
Very tasty food, vegie rolls were delicious, and also scrimps with peanuts and noodles. Service was nice too. Good prices - starter, main and lemonade were 19 Euro.
google avatar

Will C.

Yelp
As good as it gets. Pho was flavorful and hardly needed additional sauces like siracha or oyster sauce. Place was very busy, so shared a table with a couple of ladies. Service was great!
google avatar

Jeyla M.

Yelp
Unfortunately nothing close to the pictures. Appetizers were dry and blend. Pho was ok. Rice noodles tasted terrible. Service was alright, they didn't pay a lot of attention and brought us 2 wrong Appetizers. Place looked nice, but most likely won't return.
google avatar

Michaela T.

Yelp
my pho ricenoodle soup was delicious & the papaya salad was also good. fresh ingredients and all the right herbs & sauces made it a enjoyable stay. too bad the atmosphere was a bit uncomfortable with the hard bench and the resound in the restaurant.
google avatar

Minh N.

Yelp
It has been a few years since I ate here, but I still remember that it was the best Vietnamese food I've eaten outside of Vietnam. The pho instantly reminded me of home, and the quay added to that feeling.
google avatar

Dominic L.

Yelp
Very good pho place. I had the starter plate. Good for 2 people to try their different spring rolls and wings. My wife order number 18 which was good but noodles were ok. I had the bun bo hue and it was pretty good. Very nice clean atmosphere. I would recommend coming here :)
google avatar

Nancy S.

Yelp
Best pho in Germany i have tried. I recommend the #21. If you drink coffee, definitely try the Vietnamese iced coffee with sweet condensed milk. Che for dessert! Perfect for a cold evening! Will definitely come back!!
google avatar

Esteban S.

Yelp
Amazing food and even more amazing service. People are open, happy and food is invariably good. Relaxed ambiance and great atmosphere. Would gladly go back!

Yelp
Love the food and also how they decorate the restaurant. Waitress are friendly with beautiful smile. Definitely recommend this place for everyone!
google avatar

Yelp
I enjoyed this restaurant. I had the pork and also the shrimp banh cuon. I preferred the pork one. It was as good as the coun I had in Vietnam. The atmosphere was modern and nice. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
While laying over in Frankfurt last January, we stumbled across this trendy little Vietnamese spot somewhere near the old section of town. Everything was exceptional, from the ambiance and service to the food--which was probably the best Vietnamese cuisine I have ever had. Hoping to make another stop in Frankfurt just to go back to eat here.
google avatar

HY Y.

Yelp
Best place ever! Fried rice is so awesome and yellow curry too! Interiors are super and workers are so friendly. If I had a chance to visit Frankfurt again, I would come here again:)
google avatar

Diseree A.

Yelp
Authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Frankfurt city. Your taste buds will thank you for it. Vietnamese street food you'll fall in love with. Price point good, money worth every penny. If you are not scared of trying out new food and traditional ingredients then make this your next stop!
google avatar

JC G.

Yelp
My hubby and I loves Pho! Been trying different places in KL and haven't found the best place yet. I asked a coworker if he knows any place to go for some authentic Vietnamese cuisine and he recommended this place (its an hour and a half drive for us; yea its kinda far. But the love for Pho is real!) We gave it a try and we'd say he was right! We're going back again and we're pretty excited!
google avatar

Ang F.

Yelp
We ordered beef pho; fried rice and shrimp roll. We ordered to go and they separate the broth from the noodles which is good. In my experience it would have been nice for them to keep the beef seperate as well because it was definately well done when we ate it at home. The fried rice had nice flavor and on the positive contained beef, chicken and shrimp. The beef and chicken again were on the well done side for us. Overall the food was a little salty for our palate but it would be a place we would come back to.
google avatar

Quynh D.

Yelp
One of my favorite Vietnamese here in Frankfurt. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and authentic food. Located in the city centre (Hauptwache). Reasonable price for good quality.

Ruby C.

Yelp
This place is clean...food was good, not to the fantastic level tho~ but I do appreciate the service and being able to have a bowl of pho in Germany, away from home for a week already, definitely missing the Asian food a lot! Had the Bun bo hue for myself, not as good as the one I have in the US, not really spicy, but it didn't taste bad~ My hubby had the bun, I think his dish was much better than mine~ Good and clean place! Nice service and environment ~
google avatar

Sophorn K.

Yelp
Very relaxed, cozy spot a block south of MyZeil. Long wooden tables and benches, very tasteful design in general. The sweet potato and shrimp fritters were delicious and I found the #18 Pho to be like at home in Canada but far less salty! I highly recommend this for a quick stop or even cheap dining.

Brian P.

Yelp
Great little restaurant! We had some of the spring rolls and summer rolls for appetizers and then had pho for dinner. It was all amazing! On top of having great food, the service was very friendly and the prices were very reasonable. This place is definitely highly recommended!

Jens W.

Yelp
Really good restaurant. All home made, including the ice tea etc. Had summer rolls and beef rolls on leafs. Both have been delicious. The restaurant also is always fully booked. So I would recommend to reserve a table. Otherwise the waiting time can be long.

Maryen B.

Yelp
First off, the food is amazing. Have you ever had a pho craving but you have your favorite spot already?? This is that place for me. It's amazing. I also got the passion fruit lemonade with mint and it was fresh and delicious. It's kind of in a small, smelly alley but the inside is cute and the staff is friendly. They also speak English.
google avatar

Timur T.

Yelp
Asked for a glass of a tap water, waitress answered rudely that they don't serve it. Though, any other place would do it

Miguel F.

Yelp
Very good food. The spring roles are great. The chicken soup is delicious. The salmon is also very good, wiTh a great sweet sauce. The prices are pretty decent. Is a very good quality-price option.
google avatar

Balaji S.

Yelp
Great service, nice minimalist decor and the Pho was good. They use a fat vermicelli that adds a different texture and the Pho broth was delicious.

Adam A.

Yelp
This Vietnamese place was great. It's opened by a local couple who run the kitchen while their daughter was serving us. The pho was delicious and the ingredients were very fresh. I've lived in Asia for 18 years, and I was surprised by the quality of the pho here. I got the pho ga while my wife got the pho chay. Both were excellent. They have only been open for a couple of weeks, and they are very focused on customer service. It was nice to be so well attended to. Hope you can enjoy this place as well. I would definitely go back next time I'm in Frankfurt.
