Google
I would have given 5 stars but I felt misled at menu prices. I know the menus on Google aren't recent so I checked their website. I thought ok this is reasonable prices so I opted to go here instead of acye BBQ. When I sat down however it turns out that majority of entrees were $4-5 more than their website which disappointed me because my son wanted Korean BBQ buffet and this pretty much ended up being the same price. There's better food and cooked by chefs vs yourself so it warrants a decent price however I don't like being surprised. The decor is nice and you can tell it's a mom and pop shop. The manager or owner was kind in comping our soup because it was way too salty and gave us complimentary cider and apologized. I didn't want to make a big deal and didn't tell him about saltiness until he asked. So it was nice he made things right. Overall the food was good.. the galbi was seasoned right but half the portions I was expecting. I just had some at a Vietnamese restaurant the day before for more than half the price for that portion. It would be nice if the banchan included jap chae like other Korean restaurants..overall food solid. Price could be more competitive but most importantly update it on the Website..im posting pictures for others to know current prices. Also my daughter ordered crispy chicken but it's way too hard and you don't taste soft chicken just hard crispy dough. Bulgogi and galbi were solid and pork belly was a bit salty. Needs a little more sugar or flavor

Google
I ordered bibimbap through DoorDash, but it arrived completely uncooked — just raw vegetables and ingredients in a container. When I called the restaurant to ask about it, the owner said bibimbap is always served this way so customers can cook it themselves. I’ve ordered bibimbap many times before from different restaurants, and it always came fully prepared and ready to eat. There was no mention on the menu that this was a DIY version or required cooking at home. Instead of offering any apology or clarification, the owner insisted this was normal. I use DoorDash to receive meals ready to eat — not meal kits. If this is how their bibimbap is served, it needs to be clearly stated. This was frustrating and honestly felt like a waste of money.

Google
This restaurant was absolutely amazing the beef bulgogi hot plate was out of this world. We’ve taken our rounds looking for the best and I promise this is the best! The man who owns the restaurant was absolutely so kind and awesome! Thank you!

Tonya B

Google
Salmon Teriyaki was perfection! Crispy sides and tender middle with rich sauce. Just what Salmon Teriyaki should be. All the trimmings were delicious and seasoned perfectly. Wonderful service and comfortable atmosphere. Attentive to customers needs and very pleasant. Thank you for a beautiful lunch!

Google
EDIT: I never contacted the restaurant for a free appetizer, but have ordered from Gogi several times since the mistake. Delicious spicy pork bulgogi and kimchi fried rice! My first experience with the restaurant seemed abnormal compared to the 3-4 times I've had afterwards. Will continue to eat/order from here! Ordered galbi and received bulgogi. Ridiculous. Soup was not good either - totally different from most soondubu. They also gave me kimchi and spicy cucumber in ONE sauce cup. Cheap much? Didn't provide any other banchans like other Korean restaurants. Go to Chodang!

Google
The food was absolutely excellent. The service was lacking though. The young man never asked me if I wanted water refills, didn't really check up on me. They could improve that, it would definitely be five stars. I will be back because of how good the food is.

Google
Traditional Korean food. Bibimbap, bulgogi, kimchi, and more. I really liked the pork bulgogi. Some things were not to my taste, but my wife and daughter liked them. The chicken was very fresh, and insanely crispy. Some of the best Korean food that I have found in the valley.

Google
I recently dined at 'Gogi ,' a Korean restaurant in the area. The food was absolutely delicious, and the tofu soup was a standout dish. The service was friendly, and the ambiance was cozy. I would rate it 5 out of 5 stars. We ordered beef & mix tofu soup, galbi rib combo and pork dumplings.

Yelp
Amazing Korean Food at Gogi - Highly Recommend! We had a fantastic experience at Gogi Korean BBQ in Chandler, AZ! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered the Pork Katsu and the Hotstone Bibimbap, and while both were great, the Bibimbap was the true highlight. Served in a sizzling hot stone bowl, it had the perfect combination of crispy rice, flavorful beef, and fresh vegetables--all topped with a perfectly cooked egg. The flavors blended beautifully, especially with a drizzle of gochujang sauce. If you're looking for authentic and high-quality Korean food in the Chandler area, Gogi is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I don't know who builds the delivery menu, but if you advertise something as mixed tofu stew, that's what it should contain. If it's seafood tofu stew, then advertise it as such. And the fried rice was oily, dry and flavorless. How do you mess up a fried egg on top?

James M.

Yelp
Had lunch with kids, and they love this place to get their Korean food fix in Arizona. My wife and I see why as we enjoyed everything we ordered. Starting with the Bonchon, each dish was delicious with its own unique flavor. The Kimchi Pancake was devoured, and my wife enjoyed her soup. Our service was polite and checked on us frequently. Overall, we see why our kids who are local have this spot in their rotation, and I am sure we will be back in the future.

Daniel W.

Yelp
Checked this one off my bucket list! Good location in the Lee Lee's plaza, but tucked away in the corner of the plaza with no signage on the store front, except pictures....so look closely. The seafood pancake alone was worth the trip. Very well seasoned, packed with seafood protein and amazing flavor. Definitely shareable amongst the table. The bulbogi hot stone plates was decent with the crispy rice and veggies. The beef was decent and tender but very minimal amounts. Not sure I'd order this again. But if I did, I'd order with a side of extra beef. The table was loaded with side dishes, kimchi, marinated potatoes, cucumbers and more...all were great side dishes that pair well with the Korean dining experience. The bathrooms are tucked in the back and could use some work, especially as it had a strong smell of propane or gas. I assume this is from the kitchen gas open flame stoves. Service was not the best as one of our folks in the group didn't get her meal until we were pretty much finished. We had to get up and ask a few employees, which our server was sitting in a booth and looked exhausted. Guess he's working over time and just best. Felt bad for the guy. But all was made good from the woman, which I believe was the owner. I would definitely come back, regardless of the service. The food alone was worth it.

Pia M.

Yelp
Everything was authentic and HOT (temperature wise). I love Korean food especially bibimbap and all the side dishes were super fresh as well! The ambiance is good the service was good as well!

Elsie M.

Yelp
Been here a few times now and have had a different experience every time. The portion size for their entrees is quite generous, with appropriate pricing. Taste-wise however, their food isn't consistent. Their food can taste delicious and on point one visit, and the next visit those same dishes can be lacking in flavor. But there are also certain dishes that I've had from here that have stayed consistent. Those being, the kalbi and the garlic fried chicken, both are dishes that are hard to go wrong with at any Korean restaurant. Overall, service is friendly enough but has always been quite slow. The restaurant might look small from the outside, but it's quite spacious with plenty of tables. The décor on the inside is simple, with not much of an ambience.

Yelp
I was craving a hot bowl of soup on a cold and rainy day. I was leaning towards pho or ramen but decided to give Gigi a try as their menu seemed interested. The oxtail soup options were intriguing, but I decided to keep it conservative and go with a beef and brisket soup. The presentation was nice, but I did feel the noodle to broth ratio was way off. It looked like and tasted like a pho. Very light and delicate and only a few nuggets of brisket. The meal came with 5 side dishes, but i didn't try any- I would told them not to bring them out if I had known (sorry to waste). I found it tasty overall but I left unsatisfied and felt it was a little overpriced.

Julio M.

Yelp
She had the suntofu. It's a seafood spicy Korean soup. She looked like she enjoyed it. I had the pork katsu that was perfectly cooked served with a salad(not the best). We also enjoyed their side cold dishes and a cold Kirin beer. The service was great. TY

Mike F.

Yelp
A big group of co-workers and I tried out Gogi for lunch and it was a great time. Food was good and pretty quick for how many of us there were. Staff was friendly and the portions are on the large side. Lunch specials are a good price too!

Vernee D.

Yelp
During the 2020 pandemic, we ordered from Gogi. A lot. We ordered takeout today and remembered how good this place is! Portions are HUGE and the ban chan selection is really good. I ordered the beef dinner bento which came with a side of rice and everything was great! I do wish the side of rice was a little larger but making rice at home is easy. Definitely a great spot for korean food!

Benjamin H.

Yelp
Our favorite place for Korean food in the Chandler area. Ordered Kalbi (beef short-ribs), pork belly, and Japchae (noodles, vegetables and bulgogi). Always like the side dishes. Enough left for a midnight snack :) Thanks Gogi

Nancy S.

Yelp
Yummmm, this place was delicious! Best way to order here is family style. The portions are huge and it's the best way to try everything. We ordered the seafood pancake, short ribs, garlic KFC, sweet and sour KFC, and the japchae. Everything was really good but the sweet and sour KFC and the japchae were the winners. Service was so-so but the food was really worth it.

Sonia K.

Yelp
Food is always delicious! It's nice when more than one server comes to check on you. That's the kind of service you get, water refills, more napkins, etc. A very relaxed and casual place with booth seating. Hot pot dishes come piping hot! But worth the wait for it to cool down. This is a consistent place for Korean food done well!

Daniel H.

Yelp
This place was on the side of the Lee Lee's plaza and parking in front was limited; however, since it was in the same plaza then you could just park and walk over. This place had all of its windows covered up so it wasn't bright inside but it wasn't super dark due to the amount of lights they had. Everybody that helped was nice and there were a lot of people here so they were busy as well. Their menu had a lot of food that sounded good to us but we didn't get too many. We wanted to try their wings along with a couple of others. We ordered the Bibimbap, Mushroom Soon Tofu, Beef Bulgogi, Garlic Chicken, and Sweet and Spicy Chicken. There was also banchan which was the normal kind of banchan you would get at other Korean restaurants. The Bibimbap was good, the Mushroom Soon Tofu was tasty, the Beef Bulgogi was okay, the Garlic Chicken was good, and the Sweet and Spicy Chicken was not bad. It was a good amount of food for the two of us and were full after we were done. Gogi was good and probably will have to try other things on their menu in the future.

Kelsey N.

Yelp
This was a good place for my Korean cravings! They had so many options and for the size of the meals you can have everything family style, but none of us could finish our dishes. I've been really wanting to try Naengmyeon after seeing it all over my socials and this one did not disappoint. It was refreshing with a slightly sweet and slightly sour broth. The pork dumplings were crunchy and a perfect side dish for cold soup. I would come back again to try other things!

Jasmine L.

Yelp
Food: I ordered the chicken hot pot and the chicken had great flavor but the vegetables didn't have much flavor. Service: was also very slow. Parking: easy Big restaurant with a lot of seating

Unisha M.

Yelp
We ended up having an upset stomach after we dined at GOGI. The restaurant serves below average Korean cuisine with too much options to choose from the menu! Got seated immediately. We ordered the combo with Soon tofu pork and mackerel, side of house salad. It took some time for the food to get to our table. The salad was okay with too much ginger dressing. Next the soup was a bit watery with just tofu and small chunks of pork. Not much Veggies in it. The fish was okay too, very oily not fried properly! The Banchan was poorly done aswell. The cucumber kimchi felt stale, cabbage kimchi was okay, fish cake was just bad! The server never bothered to check on us after we got our food. We came home disappointed and ended up having upset tummies. I do not recommend Gogi. There are better Korean food options!

Troy M.

Yelp
I've lived near this place for nearly 3 years and finally decided to stop in and try it. Based off the outside decor, I assumed the place was filled with natural lighting and windows. I was taken aback by the complete opposite. Interestingly enough, this place has no natural light rather is basically all wall. This was immediately something that kept my attention the entire time The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi (bento box). This was massive and filled with nothing short of large portioning and beautiful amounts of flavor. The pricing was fair, especially with the amount of food you get. While the ambiance was not of typical in which I enjoy, I will throw that out to highlight the amazing food this place has to offer and certainly suggest you stop by and try it out

Naomi H.

Yelp
The food is phenomenal every time I go, they have the best bulgogi I've ever had. The service is good and I have nothing to complain about with this place. I've drug just about everybody I can to eat here with me.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Nice Korean restaurant with many good options. Service is great. Love all the small side dishes. Restaurant does not have enough natural light but that's not a big deal. Overall is a good experience.

Alicia W.

Yelp
My family and I have been coming here for a while but I think the food has been a bit of a hit or miss. We get the pork belly cabbage wrap pretty often, but the most recent time we came I felt that the portion of both pork belly and cabbage were kinda skimpy and the pork belly was quite dry. It used to be better, but I think recently the quality of some foods has been going down. In addition, we ordered the beef tofu soup combo with fried mackerel and salad. I think the tofu soup was fine, but I've had better at various other Korean restaurants. The fried mackerel was not bad albeit a little dry. I also think the dishes are kind of expensive and not that worth it. Overall, I don't feel particularly strong in any way about the restaurant, but they have had some dishes in the past I've liked such as the oxtail soup and hot stone bibimbap.

Betty L.

Yelp
The bibimbap is good. I liked the sauce that you can squeeze out onto it. Makes the food spicy. They have music videos playing on a TV that you can watch. They have some side dishes that comes with any entree you order. They are shared with others at the table. I don't like their tofu soup very much. It has a really strong anchovy or fish flavor.

Richard F.

Yelp
The food is always excellent here, absolutely the best. The service is a bit slow though.

Joy C.

Yelp
Been going here for years now and still good! Servers were really nice and brought us extra side dishes throughout our meal. Soup was good but imo definitely not as good as BCD in LA... Interior was cute too but didn't really match a Korean restaurant vibe ..it was more like a cafe ish vibe(?) inside

Markayla S.

Yelp
I was really excited to try based on reviews, so my friend and I drove across town to try hoping to get some delicious dishes. However we were both very disappointed. We decided to share an order of the spicy rice cakes with ramen & dumplings , an order of vegetable tempura and a beef and brisket soup to help warm us up. To start the spicy rice cakes were decent, but lacked any real flavor or heat in the sauce , which was a disappointment. The vegetable tempura was delicious. It was hot and crisp when we received it and we really enjoyed it. Last, the beef and brisket soup was the most disappointing, it had no real flavor, and it was very under-seasoned. This was the biggest let down as other Korean soups and stews that I have had are usually really hearty and flavorful. I am really hoping that this was just a one off and hope to try the sweet and spicy fried chicken sometime in the future.

Nadine Y.

Yelp
GOGI is our go-to Korean restaurant. Their food is very consistent and everything we've ever ordered is so delicious! Our go-to's are usually the kimchi pancake, Green onion fried chicken (comes with a delicious wasabi dip), sweet and spicy fried chicken, seafood tofu soup & galbi combo, and occasionally the bosam (pork belly wraps). Ambiance is relaxed, not too noisy. Service is also very consistent and attentive. Must try!

Mayra A.

Yelp
When I'm in the area, I usually stop here. You will get sides (kimchi, sweet potato, fish cakes etc) when you order a food item that is not a bento box. The food is always delicious! The fried chicken with green onions is a lot of food!

Celia V.

Yelp
Gogi has been a go-to for me for some time now. One reason I love it is because they are very accommodating to larger groups. My latest visit was last night with a few friends. Since the portions are a very good size, we got a few items to share . We ordered the chicken fried rice, bulgogi beef, half sweet and spicy and half garlic fried chicken, and the spicy ramen with rice cakes and dumplings. Everything was so delicious! Between the sweet and spicy and garlic flavor chicken, I feel the sweet and spicy is definitely the standout. I did not get much of a garlic taste from the garlic chicken, but it was still very good. Service is consistently great as well. And they have this great dessert spot next door, so it's a win all around.

Daylan B.

Yelp
This place is just... Amazing!!! Some of the best tasting and portions food I had in awhile! The service was quick, and the place was quiet. Prices were appropriate, and it's a place I can't wait to go to again next time I'm in Mesa!

Kristina T.

Yelp
Amazing food- flavor all day. Perfectly cooked- wonderful friendly service! The people are friendly and attentive... I could eat here every day!

G G.

Yelp
good food - fair price. bulgogi excellent but for me not enough. good portion for average person, but i'm not average when it comes to korean food. always eat there when in phoenix.

Sandy L.

Yelp
I've heard from others that the Korean fried chicken is good here. We've been wanting to try it for awhile and finally did. The price was reasonable but a couple dollars higher than their online menu. We got the half and half so that we could try two flavors. We got the garlic flavor and the sweet and spicy. The chicken was juicy and crispy but the flavor of the sauce threw me off. The sweet and spicy was a dark brown red color (I was expecting more bright red gochuchang color). It didn't taste spicy and the sweet flavor was so so. In my opinion the flavor is very muddled and not memorable. The garlic was a dark brown color but didn't have much garlic taste. Despite the chicken being fried decently, I just really didn't care for either sauce flavor. I feel like if they can improve on the sauce recipe it would make a huge difference. Their pickled radish seemed to be possibly homemade but was a very strong vinegar taste. I felt like it was missing something in the flavor of the pickling. In sum, the pricing is fair especially given inflation, but I would say it's competitors have better chicken. I don't plan on returning primarily because of the flavor of the chicken.

Tzarina W.

Yelp
Hot stone Bulgolgi bimbimbap is always a staple when I order here. It's a great mix of veggies , meat and carbs. Always beautifully presented with julienned carrots and zucchini, sprouts, gosari namul, spinach, beef and topped with an over easy fried egg so that you can break it and have it spill over the food. Add the gochuchang sauce to add a bit of spice and elevated taste. Kimchi tofu soup is another go to with a slight mild. For those not looking for spicy I recommend the tofu and beef soup or whatever selection you choose with the white broth. The smell of the broth reminds me of thanksgiving in the best way filled with tofu, green onions, one egg and beef cut up in baby cubes. The ban Chan was okay. I usually like something to have the white radish because I love the crispness.

Kristen M.

Yelp
Our go to for awesome Korean food in the east valley. Both locations are great but menus are very different. The fried chicken is amazing. Huge portions. Great service.

Ali W.

Yelp
Wow, where do I start? The service was top tier our waiter was a gentleman named Daniel. He was the nicest and is very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. This place is family owned and has some of the best korean food in Arizona. We ordered bulgi beef, the korean fried chicken, and a bowl of ramen. Everything and I mean everything was super flavorful and had such a fresh taste. Plating looked amazing and was great date night spot!!

Kelly B.

Yelp
This place is so good. I keep bringing people here to try it. The food is top notch. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The only thing is when you order a hot stone they have you pick it up from the counter. It's heavy and piping hot. It doesn't seem safe to have people get it from the counter. Seems like something that should be brought to the table.

Allison K.

Yelp
Wow, everything we tried here was absolutely fantastic! I've been overlooking this place for years and am glad I stopped by to try it out. The interior is actually pretty sizeable and all the tables are pretty spread out. The Soon Tofu Combo came with a generous portion of bulgogi that was cooked perfectly. It was evident that the bulgogi was actually grilled and not "boiled" like most other places tend to do. The seafood soondubu had a good amount of seafood (best part was a large, succulent shrimp) and the mild spice level did pack a punch. The galbi was excellent and flavorful. And the banchan was refreshing - we even asked for more halfway through our meal and the waitress gave us a complimentary refill. Prices are standard - around $20 for each dish around dinnertime. Looking forward to returning soon!

Sophie K.

Yelp
Gogi!!! I first tried their food from delivering their Korean style fried chicken, and it was so so good, so I decided to try their food at the restaurant! I ordered spicy seafood pot, and the portion was huge, there were good amount of seafood like shrimps, clams, squids, and more, and thick udon noodles went along so well with the pot. All the side dishes were yummy, I especially liked the cucumbers! There were so many dishes I wanted to try! And their fried chicken will be my new go-to delivery chicken : )

Chris L.

Yelp
Food was terrible. Worst of this type I've ever had. I bought a bento box. Fatty meat. Cold foot. Also bought vegetable tempura. Worst I've ever had. NO SAUCES with any of this except jalapeño peppers in a small dish in their juices. This was on 5/29. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Reilly E.

Yelp
TOO LEGIT TO QUIT. My husband and I haven't been this happy in a long time from a restaurant and especially Korean! We were on a road trip and decided to stop in Chandler for some Korean fried chicken. Just WOW. Absolutely delicious food, I wish I had taken pictures because the portions were huge. My bimbimbap was GIGANTIC and can easily feed 2. I love that the stone pot was shallow so you get more space for crispy rice on the bottom. It was delicious! My husbands crispy Korean Fried Chicken was some of the best we've ever had outside of Korea. We truly loved this place and the staff were very friendly and accommodating to our children.

Michelle D.

Yelp
service was good but food wasn't fresh and tasted odd, kinda worried about food poisoning, but good service!!!

Kennia P.

Yelp
Super good ! The food was amazing and the music they played was great. They were very attentive of us and I like that they have Coke Zero!

Andrea S.

Yelp
I had such an amazing experience here for years! Though I recommend calling in for reservations for bigger parties (6 and up). The overall service here's amazing when it's steady business. However when it gets busy I can tell they are trying their best to keep up with the constant rush. Just give them patience they don't forget about you! The music and lighting of this place is very relaxing. There's no windows that let in light but it makes sense since the building is always facing the sun. The food portions here are no joke! Especially the chicken but it's definitely something worth to try. I don't ever usually leave any reviews but since I've been coming in here regularly and never been disappointed. I thought it was right to give this place an A star rating.

Mike T.

Yelp
OMG. Probably one of the best lunches that I've had in a long time! This place is your classic don't judge a book by it's cover. From the outside it's just a ho hum place in a strip mall. Inside is just as plain. Good thing we were here to eat. I had the Bibimbap with spicy pork. This might be my new favorite dish. GOGI serves it is a piping hot stone bowl. The rice gets nice and crispy because of the hot bowl. The fried egg, the spicy pork and everything else just blends together perfectly. If the stone bowl wasn't piping hot I would have licked it clean. Can't wait to come back for another lunch!

Roya K.

Yelp
My favorite spot for casual Korean food! Large portions, always fresh, flavorful and worth every penny! I usually order the pork belly, which comes with rice and banchans. A++

Amanda C.

Yelp
Decent Korean spot! Ordered a bulgogi bento and seafood pancake to-go and was surprised that it came with jasmine rice rather than short-grain. Wish they used short-grain or purple rice. First seafood pancake we had without any sauce on the side - after tasting it the bottom was quite moist with the soy vinegar sauce flavor so I wonder if that was why there was no sauce...they make it so that it's already absorbed it? But it made for quite a moist instead of crispy pancake. Not a terrible spot but probably would only go here if other Korean spots in town were closed.

Josephine U.

Yelp
Service was fast even though it was lunch time. I got the bulgogi and mixed tofu soup. A friend got galbi. My husband got the fried chicken. I bulgogi was a tad too sweet but it was good combo with the mixed tofu soup. The soup was filled with seafood, veggies and small pieces of beef. It was topped with and egg. The tofu was soft/silken and the soup was NOT super powder heavy which was great. I enjoyed the soup a lot. The galbi was easy to eat and flavorful! The chicken was good. I would order the sweet and spicy one again but it stuck onto the chicken more unlike the garlic. The garlic chicken soaked the chicken more and lost the crispness of it. Overall I would come back again and try more dishes.

Deanna Z.

Yelp
The food at Gogi's is delicious and fresh. I always get the pork belly, and you can never go wrong with it. I also love that the entrees come with the little side dishes, it adds variety. Service is good, not too absent not too pushy. There's always good music playing and the MV's play on the TV.

Jack F.

Yelp
First time trying this place and food was great n very traditional. One negative experience is the online order process with yelp/grubhub. I was waiting for the confirmation but after 20 minutes of not getting confirmation, i just called the restaurant n found out my food is already ready. Food wasn't as hot by the time i picked up so next time i will just call place an order.
