We were delighted to catch glimpses of local wildlife, including deer and ratuwa, which made the stay feel like a genuine nature escape. The overall atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, making it a perfect sanctuary for relaxation. Dining, Wellness, and Service The food quality was impressive, with meals that were not only delicious but also well-portioned and satisfying. We also had a wonderful experience at the resort's spa. We opted for an evening treatment, and the privacy—as we seemed to be the only guests there at the time—significantly enhanced the tranquil experience. A special thank you must be extended to Ms. Pasang Donal Sherpa. Her assistance with the arrangements was flawless, ensuring our entire experience ran smoothly and effortlessly. Second review. This one for the 8848 restaurant. My husband and I died there twice, and had drinks there tonight. It was a lovely spot with very good food. Having spent almost 3 weeks in India and Nepal we were glad for the continental menu options. The service was top-notch. We were particularly well served by Anupa. I think that was his name! He used to work in Malaysia and Oman. He was cheerful and helpful. Had excellent English and was able to advise us on the dishes. One night we had the shrimp pasta, and the next night I had the chicken with wine. Both hit the spot. I really really appreciate the good service.

We absolutely loved our stay here… celebrated six month birthday of our baby. It was a perfect location, every morning we will wake up to deers outside our window. The swimming, spa and the shop were all fantastic. The morning walk through the forest was lovely. The highlight was the breakfast with amazing spread. The South Indian dishes were better than south India. The momos and Nepal thali were amazing though the portion of latter were huge. It seemed like a place where a lot of locals and tourists came. I can’t recommend it enough. The staff of this hotel was the best. They went out of our way to accommodate every request.

Great place. Staff was very accommodating. Food was excellent, probably best of entire trip. Amazing sauces. Raj and Anuk in 8848 bar & restaurant were especially good with their service. Well equipped spa with steam, sauna, jacuzzi & pool along with relaxing massages.

Gokarna Forest Resort is a peaceful escape from Kathmandu. The greenery around the resort makes you feel like you’re somewhere completely different. The drive there is not too long. The service and cleanliness were very good, and our room was big and comfortable.||There is ample car parking available. There is an option for a driving range, which was a fun addition. It rained while we were there, so we couldn’t go for a jungle walk as we had hoped. But the indoor pool, jacuzzi, and gym were nice alternatives. Overall, it’s a calm and relaxing place to stay.

It was my first time in Nepal, and I had the chance to attend a conference here. Gokarna Resort is such a peaceful spot-perfect if you want to connect with nature and get away from the hustle of Kathmandu. I loved how spacious the rooms are! I had one all to myself, and it was just perfect! super cozy and relaxing.

Great place for family outing or hideouts. Spacious places, fun doing jungke walking . Nice rooms. Warm water swimming pool. Good food. If travell with kids food a bit spicy so i thing they will make it less spicy upon request.

A peaceful hotel close to Boudha, with a beautiful golf course that adds to its charm. The food is good, the service is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. definitely worth the money. However, the social media management was disappointing.
