Gökceada Sörf Egitim Merkezi Hostel

Thank you again for an amazing experience! We came here for the third year consecutively and it is safe to say that this is the best hotel on the island. Conveniently located on the offshore beach, it may be the most relaxing experience for those who what to flee the crowded city life. Large rooms, very friendly staff, good food, great atmosphere, i felt very much like home.

Location is excellent, hotel has a very nice beach and beach facilities (sunbeds/umbrellas). Rooms are ok, not bad at all. Breakfast quality is improved compared to last year but they still have room to improve. I am making this observation with a Turkish taste, the breakfast would be more than acceptable for a European.

This only makes sense at the price only relative to the options nearby and the location (on the beach). Rooms are very basic, air conditioning did not work despite flagging it to the reception several times. At least twice we had water pouring into the room from the hall. Otherwise the staff is helpful. Breakfast is ok, typical Turkish cuisine. Stick to cay, avoid the standard coffee.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days with two children, ages 11 and 14, and a bunch of friends who are dedicated kite surfers and wind surfers.||This is hands down one of the best deals we've had. This Turkish island is still pretty unspoiled by the hordes of tourists in Greece and its islands. The hotel rooms are spacious, modern, and comfortable, with a little refrigerator in each room. The hotel has a great breakfast bar and it is literally on the beach. There is also a beach bar/restaurant that serves cocktails, bear/wine, and excellent food. The hotel has its own private beach with umbrellas and chaise-longues. Windsurfs can be rented right on the beach and for the more adventurous, there are also lessons available for kite-surfing. We also saw some people doing yoga and some version of Turkish zumba on the beach, but I cannot guarantee those are available all the time.||We and our children had a great time. We rented a car and drove from Istanbul. It's about 5-6 hours, but mostly because the wait for the ferry boat is long and the ferry trip is about 90 minutes. There is a way to book a ferryboat ticket online, but it's in Turkish only, so we didn't. Overall, I recommend this hotel highly!

Lovely place to stay. Comfortable rooms, casual vibe, friendly staff. It is right on the beach and the water is beautiful, crystal clear and just the right temperature to refresh. Perfect for surfing and learning to surf. I took lessons with Tarik, whose relaxed and encouraging teaching style made it a joy. Can’t wait to go back!

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night in a quadruple room. The receptionists were very welcoming. The room was air conditioned, also very spacious and also very clean. The hotel building we were staying in was 1 minute walk away from the beach. ||||The hotel is equipped with a good bar and restaurant where to eat and drink, where the prices are also reasonable for both. Definitely recommend this hotel if you're visiting Gokceada for a relaxing holiday, since it's not in the town centre but still close enough (around 8-10 mins by car) should you need to visit. ||||Parking space is also offered at this hotel. The breakfast was also very good and contained a lot of food and drink options.

The place is nicely designed and have generouse rooms with quality garnish. The compound includes lots of green area, flowers, kids playground, located by the seashore providing though beach chairs and bar services. Some rooms have view towards the sea. Staff is very friendly and polite, even if not english speakers, quite inventive to use google translate and when i learnt several turkish word to communicate with them, it was pretty helpful. Room cleaning is done during/after breakfast, giving the chance to have a nap in the afternoon - so an improvement, considering a review below. Located 5 min driving from kitespot, it is an excellent alternative for those who do not enjoy camping or caravane, or like us, because of stormy windy wheather decided to leave the tent for a cosy room. Breakfast is very good, a lot of cheese, fruits and vegetables, while confiture is absolutely fabulous. Omlette or scrumbble eggs would do good, so hopefully it will be introduce in the menu. WiFi a bit too low, not accessible from all corners, but sufficiently for a 10 min check for working emails. My pet, a small and notty, lovely dog did not get along with the house dog, a large 1 yo mascule, so i appreciated staff’s help, who supportively put him away, for an hour or so, every morning and evening, so we could walk our own. Flys might be an issue, but so everywhere on the island. This is a very nice place to go for a vacation. I recommend it kindly.

We used only the beach since we were staying in another hotel very close to. Nobody asked us to show our hotel card so it makes me think that everybody can use the beach, sun beds freely. It was not a problem for us but the hotel customers may not like it. |The beach and sea was sandy which we really liked. |We ate only a hamburger so I can not say too much about the restaurant. |There is a shower and changing room next to the restaurant. And a children park that our son loved very much.
