Gold By Marina Hotel

Beautiful, clean, friendly and food/drinks fabulous. Wanted somewhere to relax/unwind after a real testing year and this hotel delivered and more besides! The staff can’t do enough, even the life guard was happy to help. The rooms are clean, well equipped. Pool area clean relaxing, well maintained! Gym clean and maintained. Food fab and what can I say clean and good selection!! Would definitely return 😁😁

We’ve visited Gran Canaria before, but this was our first stay at Marina Gold—and certainly not our last. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine. Our room wasn’t quite ready, which was no problem as we had arrived early. The staff offered luggage storage and a place to change into shorts, and we even received a personal call from the front desk manager, Christian, while we were out for lunch to let us know our room was ready. It was only about a 30-minute wait, which was very much appreciated after a long day of travelling.|The rooms are cleaned daily and kept to an excellent standard. Ours came with bottled water, a bottle of wine, and a handwritten note from the manager—a thoughtful touch that made us feel truly valued.|The hotel itself is beautiful and impeccably maintained. The staff are outstanding: they go above and beyond for guests, and it’s impossible to walk past anyone without a friendly smile or a “hello.” Even when we returned late at night, around 2 or 3am, the reception staff were still cheerful and welcoming.|The hotel also hosts drinks with the manager (which we didn’t attend but looked enjoyable from our balcony), plus entertainment such as a DJ at the pool on Sunday and a live singer on Friday. The sangria at the pool bar was exceptional—easily one of the best we’ve had in the Canary Islands—and the beer was served ice-cold in frozen glasses, which was a perfect refreshment in the heat.|Regarding some of the reviews below, we also did notice a loud group of British guests during the first two days of our stay. However, we personally saw the manager address the issue at the pool, and from that moment on, they were much more respectful toward other guests.|The location is fantastic too: just a five-minute walk to the Yumbo Centre (if you’re looking for a fun night out, Sparkles Show Bar is a must-visit) and around 10 minutes to the beach. For reference, we’re a couple in our twenties, and we found it an easy and enjoyable walk.|Thank you, Marina Gold, for an incredible stay. We’re already looking forward to returning hopefully in the very near future.

2nd stay at this wonderful hotel and what can I say other than perfect. We had the most amazing welcome from the reception staff and even the card on the desk in the room welcoming us back was a really nice touch. As expected the staff work tirelessly always on the go keeping things going. Cleaner was great did a fantastic job every day. The bubbles with the team on a Monday is a great way to meet people and have a little sing along to the singer who does a great job. Definitely will be returning to Gold next year and cannot wait.

Best hotel I have stayed at. The experience from when we arrived to leaving was 5 star. The staff are super friendly and on the ball. The whole hotel is so clean to the point there was just a constant fragrance in the air that was very pleasant. The food was great, not the biggest selection but was delicious. My wife and I just felt so relaxed being here which is what why we got away to do. We will definitely be back.

A week spent at the Gold by Marina hotel was a fantastic choice. The hotel is designed to provide maximum comfort and convenience. Its layout allows guests to enjoy their time in many pleasant and diverse ways, even without leaving the hotel grounds. The swimming pool is wonderfully located and positioned, perfect for a proper swim. There's also a second, shallower pool, surrounded by beautifully designed loungers and dedicated zones for holiday relaxation. A stunning, spacious patio features a well-arranged flower bed that adds to the charm. Next to the large pool, there are wide and comfortable loungers with umbrellas. All around, the area is enclosed with lush greenery, full of exotic palm trees and plants. By the pool, there's also a dining area and a bar offering delicious drinks at reasonable prices. The hotel staff is one of its greatest strengths — incredibly helpful, always smiling, and patient. From the kitchen staff to the receptionists, housekeepers, and the rest of the team, everyone contributed to the welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is very clean and exceptionally well-maintained. There was always someone making sure everything was in order and that guests were comfortable throughout their stay.

Check-in was super easy, and the welcome glass of cava was a lovely touch. The room was amazing — we especially loved the kitchenette. We had plans to cook more, but the local food was just too good to resist!||||The pool area was stunning, with such a great vibe, especially the DJ on Sunday, which made it feel extra special. The cocktails were fantastic too. Sunbeds do get busy early on, but we nearly always managed to find a spot.||||Close proximity to the Yumbo Centre.||||All in all, it was an amazing stay. A huge thank you to the staff and the other lovely guests we met. We loved it so much that we’ve already booked again for next year!

I cannot not recommend this hotel enough.|We booked for a mini honeymoon (6 nights).||On our first night we couldn’t get the air con to work and we had also booked a double room but we were given a room with two single beds pushed together. ||The following day we e mailed reception and they made us aware that the patio door to the room needed to be FIRMLY closed for the air con to work (this should probably have been made more obvious by a note or something as it really had to be pushed close, not just closed). They still sent maintenance to check it, even when we had got it to work. ||They also admitted that it was their mistake on their behalf having not put the mattress topper on to make the single beds a double….||Anyway, they put a lovely thick topper on and also gave us a bottle of fizzy wine and free breakfast vouchers as an apology. ||Once the bed issue and air con was addressed I can honestly say it was the comfiest bed and room we’ve ever slept in. ||The hotel was lovely. Clean and welcoming. |Staff all great and couldn’t do enough. ||The manager was a great guy and spent time meeting his guests with free fizz and snacks on a Monday. ||The breakfast was the best I’ve had in any hotel (we go away a LOT) we love a full English breakfast and that’s exactly what we got! And also great tea/coffee. |Bacon and eggs freshly cooked to order in any way you wanted. |The only complaint I have is that the baked beans we warm at best and not hot. ||An added bonus was the fact there were no kids, it’s the first adult only hotel we’ve been to and it was so refreshing not to have screaming brats running around. ||We were tempted to rebook for next year but we want to try somewhere different however we willl be back. 100%!

Our first visit to the island and Gold. Without doubt one of the very best hotels we have ever stayed at. The facilities and location were excellent and the staff were absolutely amazing. We truly felt valued as a guest and nothing was too much trouble. We came across guests who have stayed at the hotel 10+ times and we can see why. Definitely booking to stay here again next year.
