I love this store!!!! They have an amazing selection of Western inspired fashion with a great selection of cowboy boots, dresses, accessories, and t-shirts. It’s a unique store and nice change from some of the more “hip” and “aesthetic” stores around town. Their prices are pretty reasonable too. Overall, great clothing store - one of the best in Ballard!

I went in today to grab some fun Van Halen shirts (love their 80’s rock & roll selection) and had more options than I expected! They had VH sweatshirts in 3 colors and multiple sizes. I got amazing service trying to find my vintage denim shorts size, which I have learned is a little trickier said than done. Staff were SUPER friendly and helpful and excited to be of assistance. This place has such a fun blend of western meets rock and roll, their stylists even pulled a few pieces I loved, but as hard as it is when I go in here, I do my best to stick to a budget. They have great incense too, and I was excited to see they have a new fragrance line since the last time I was in. THE spot in the city for bolo ties and cowboy boots. I bought a felt hat from them a few years ago that is still in amazing shape. Great quality!

We visited on Mother’s Day and were impressed by the overall atmosphere. The selection of trinkets and vintage western wear is quite intriguing. However, I found the pricing of the clothing to be a bit steep, especially for items like pearl snap shirts boots and bollo ties. I appreciate the appeal of vintage fashion but felt that the prices didn’t align with what I expected. If they were more reasonably priced, I would have been more inclined to make a purchase. Unfortunately, I may reconsider returning just for smaller items like a fun ring or a rock band t-shirt. Ballard doesn't have to mean overpriced.

What a treasure of a store! So thrilled I stumbled upon this gem full of high quality new and thrift western styles and authentic band t-shirts. So lovely chatting with the shop runner, what a great experience!

I have never had such a positive personal-shopper experience in Seattle; Zoe and the crew model what they put out, which is exceptional style and service. They had me diversifying my wardrobe with pieces and pairs I would have not originally envisioned for myself. Gold Dogs and the crew is everything you want in a local seller; yes, they are trying to sell you the look but do so with genuine interest and excitement for helping you appear at your best. Not to mention my friend and I were treated to a post-purchase glass of wine- the second best part of the experience. Cannot wait to stop in again (when my bank account has had time to recover). Thank you!

Came to look for cowboy boots, interesting selection in a wide range of sizes. Ask about the back stock if you're not finding something you like in your size, and they might have something tucked away. Good selection of western shirts, too. Second hand in good condition. Worth a look through.

Such a mouthwatering selection of beautiful country and western gear. Only gripe might be that the used items are all a bit pricey, but I guess that’s the trade off for such a well curated selection. Staff was super friendly and helpful — nice to see a store like this not full of masculine male employees. Huge selection of bolos, belt buckles and boots. Spent a solid 30 minutes combing through all their shirts and still not sure I saw them all. Also a good selection of new gear, though I wish they had more country-related band tees. Will 100% return.

I absolutely love this store and I will continue to shop there. However, I will not buy jewelry from them again. I bought a silver and turquoise bracelet for about $200 and two of the stones fell out after only wearing it a few times. They said they'd reach out to the jewelry maker but that was months ago and they haven't offered any other form of compensation after I've contacted them several times. I'm disappointed they haven't done more. Update as of 11/23: Golddogs offered me a full refund so I returned the bracelet and and spent the refund on jeans and band tees at the store. Like I said, I love this store and understand everyone has had a hard time this year with covid. I hope the jewelry maker provides compensation to the store. Thank you again to the owner and Golddogs employees for all their help. Shop local!

A cool shop in the heart of Old Ballard, we went in looking for cowboy boots, and were pleasantly distracted by everything else in the store. So many trendy items, accessories and fun novelties for everyone. Prices are high, but the store was bustling and the items for purchase intriguing upon every turn. Fitting rooms are also available for the multitude of clothing items available for purchase.

The staff was super friendly - the shop has lots of cool stuff. The women's boots we looked at ranged in price from $150-$500, and there were lots to choose from.

Dress I purchased online was prettier than it appeared. Details on the top were so detailed. I also received it fast.

One of the only strictly western shopping locations in the Seattle area that we could find . A lovely selection. Definitely on the high end price-wise which we expected and is on par for the Seattle area. But still a tiny bit of a bummer. Fun store, fun selection. Amazing unique pieces, new and used. Grabbed a belt buckle. They averaged around $40 but they had a couple around the $30 range and some really nice ones around the $60-$70 range.

I love this shop! The people that work here are so friendly. So many cute gifts and really fun outfit ideas.

I truly enjoy this store, but I will never purchase anything from them again. Every item in the store is overpriced by 300% to 1000% over its value. I regret being scammed. I am all for local businesses, but the used "vintage" boots I bought at $198+ (w/o tax) are worth $40 on Poshmark, and $65 new from the maker. The "leather" jacket I bought for $400+ from Scully, online is $65-$85, and in better condition. I get they are a small biz, and I do support shop-mall- but I'm tired of swindled every time I go shopping...

Well, it's a used boots store, so buyer beware. But really, BUYER BEWARE. My son had saved up for some fancy boots and after a lot of reflection he bought some nice-looking reptile skin ones. The staff congratulated him on a fine choice. The first time he wore them the skins separated irreparably, which we were told by a cobbler was due to storing them in bad conditions. OK, they were used. But my son was really disappointed, so I wrote several emails and made several phone calls to the store asking for some compensation, maybe just in the form of a discount on another pair. I know the messages went through, but NOTHING. Just ghosting. So be aware that, despite the surface friendliness, these people don't seem to care much about longterm customer relations. Maybe they have enough tourist trade that passing off flawed stuff does not have a high price for them -- only for the disappointed customer.

Great store if you love vintage and western looks. Friendly Ballard vibe. Always enjoy shopping here. Have found some unique pieces and love the accessories section.

I don't consider myself boho country chic anything, but this store is legit. Affordable, gently used cowboy boots in so many varieties that you feel like you're in a museum! Plus, one of my fave pieces of daily jewelry came from here and I cherish it. Another plus, the friendly staff, killer in-store playlist and affordable prices. That is a trifecta!

I never miss visiting this shop when I'm in town. Gems abound! Cowboy boots that are hard to find anywhere else.

LOVE. THIS. STORE. I would say that this store reminds me of the Donnie & Marie song "A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock-and-Roll", but Donnie & Marie are horribly lame and this shop is beyond legit. But yeah, kinda country. Kinda rock and roll. Lots of western-style clothes, some vintage and some new. Rock band t-shirts. Tons of boots. Lots of hats. Lots of jewelry. This is where I ended up spending my time and money. Guys! I got the dopest ring! It's an old motorcycle gang ring that has been re-stoned. It's definitely a bold statement piece, but I frickin love it. I get a huge number of complements on it. The staff is very, very friendly. I ended up sticking around a while just chatting them up as we discussed the store, our hometowns, and more. They're lovely ladies and they have the customer service/hospitality thing down to a T. I'll definitely return on my next trip to Seattle.

This is my absolute favorite store! The items they have in the shop and the friendly vibe of the staff is unbeatable. They've gone out of their way to help me a couple of times and have been really welcoming each time I've gone in. I'm so glad this store is around and am happy they offer both in-store shopping, pickup, and shipping. A true gem in Ballard!

My first day in Seattle I walked into this place and felt right at home. Cool clothes & cooler people all while being located in a nice area. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for vintage apparel or boots in the seattle area.

I went into their store today and there were at least 4-5 people not wearing masks. The staff were talking with them like nothing was wrong. It is a small store and no way to distance from these people. Goodbye forever. In regards to the owner's statement: the staff were wearing masks that is correct. That group made it into the back of the store, which is where they were when I walked into them. I'm not sure how the staff let them get that far into the store without dealing with it. I saw not a even a mask in hand. I'm also not sure how that group got from all the way out of state without being aware of the statewide policy and just happened to be in this little store in Ballard. The dressing rooms are not sealed off from the rest of the store so that doesn't feel like a reasonable solution when they should be going outside for a break if needed because of a medical condition. Also why wouldn't the staff give other customers a heads up of the situation? I was in there maybe five or six minutes before realizing that those customers were in there. In addition to posting this review I also mentioned this on my Instagram story to warn my friends of this place. Gold Dogs account did not respond to me at all even though they saw my post immediately. Instead they posted a few hours later a group selfie of them all wearing masks and not social distancing. It felt passive aggressive and unprofessional. They didn't mention any of this to me directly in a DM which makes it feel like this story isn't a completely honest account of what happened. My review still stands at one stars.

To put it simply this shop is rad!! Cool old vintage jackets ,boots , shirts with some new stuff mixed in! Staff is always amazing and helpful. Reminds me of how Seattle use to be ! Wish there were more stores like this in the city !!

What a find! Lovely shop with boots and more. Couldn't get boots but my son sported a gorgeous hat and hasn't taken it off since. They kindly recommended other places to go. Very nice and helpful to all the clientele.

I have been to this shop twice now and I have always had such pleasant experiences with the help I've received and the items I have purchased. Today a friend and I came in to the shop, and were met by 2 women employees that were both on their phone, very disrespectful and did not greet us or even look up. We spent considerable time in the store and not once did they ask to assist. In fact, they spent the entire time *very loudly* speaking ill of another woman employee in front of all the other customers in the store about how much of a "b*tch" she was and how "the idiot doesn't even know how to close the shop". It was so inappropriate and so loud considering there were 4 other customers in the store. I was shocked and hope that management addresses this.

Cute Western-themed store with fantastic selection of consignment vintage and new cowboy boots, reasonably priced. Walked out with a beautiful pair of vintage 1980s Dan Post boots, wonderfully crafted. On-trend clothing and accessories fun for browsing. Friendly, helpful staff - definitely worth a peek!

I ordered a flannel from them on Instagram. It was shipped out the very same day and I received it a few days later! Love the flannel and am so stoked with the quick service! In the age of Corona, I've waited weeks from large corporate stores claiming Covid-19 is to blame for the slow deliveries! Thank you , Gold dogs!!

I can't figure out what I like the most about Gold Dogs. Is it the largest assortment of Brixton hats I've seen in Seattle? Their GIGANTIC selection of Stance socks (which, if you've never worn them are totally worth the $15-$25 per pair)? Or the fact that they carry an amazing selection of vintage/new clothing, fun and unique jewelry and accessories? Beyond the multitude of things you can spend your money on, the people that work here are so god.damn.friendly and are a breath of fresh air after you've spent your afternoon interacting with the generic or shitty-Ballard-hipster-attitude sales people you'll find in most of the stores in the neighborhood.

Over priced and poor quality. Bought a really expensive pair of boots for a music concert at this place. Should of checked the interior because it was starting to disintegrate and got my feet disgusting. I definitely think the shop should of disclaimed that before selling an $100 boot.

I love this little shop. Well, you may know I love boots. Oh, do I love them. And this place is full of them. The staff I've met are all nice as can be and so helpful. Overdyed slips, cowboy boots, rockabilly shirts, jewlery, purses and some vintage luggage were the things I was pawing and pawing during my visit. I walked out empty handed, but not because there were a million things I wanted, only because I had to plot my return with a truck to fit it all in the next time. Make sure to talk to the clerk if you're looking for something specific, they have another location and backstock, as well as likely a 'shop by request' if you're looking for something specific.

I absolutely adore Gold Dogs Vintage. I've never left this store empty handed, which is probably why I only make an entrance every few months. The staff here are always extremely helpful and they really know what they have in stock and are always eager to help. Gold Dogs carries a lot of up-cycled dresses, skirts, and shirts, and they always have an amazing array of colors and designs. While their selection of clothes are beyond amazing, Gold Dogs REALLY ups the ante with their selection if accessories. They have the most beautiful selection of belts, bags, jewelry, and shoes. I've found boots, pumps, and other funky footwear, always in great used condition. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Be sure to find them on Instagram so you can keep an eye out for their newest arrivals! Easy to miss so keep your eyes peeled, Vintage Angel is a big shop with a wide variety of clothing and accessories watched over by a nice staff. Vintage Angel has a large selection of jewelry (new, vintage, and vintage-inspired), boots and leather jackets, purses, and a 50-50 split of men and women's clothing. Missing the 90's? Plaid is alive and well here. Less about comprehensive outfits and more a shop to get special pieces, there is a lot to discover at Vintage Angel..

Neat vintage shop with a little bit of a western flare. Boots galore with some leather and flannel thrown in there too. Found a cool pair of boots that I wouldn't consider vintage and the price tag made me laugh as I thought "I could buy brand new for that price". If I'm shopping for vintage, I want real vintage. Not overpriced used goods. But that's my only complaint about this place. Pretty cool other than that. I did manage to come away with a cool bracelet and ring, both for under 30 bucks. Dig around for the deals here.

Without a doubt my favorite store in Seattle. Gold Dogs is a must-stop for my husband and I every time we visit Seattle. A perfect curation of rock 'n roll and outlaw country goods, Gold Dogs gets it. Everything is reasonably priced, and they carry several great brands: Bandit Brand, Electric West, Brixton, etc.

For a local vintage shop this place is fantastic. Always rotating stock and will to work with you on the price. I always assume its for women...so finding cool guys gears was awesome. Damn fine job vintage peeps!

Bought a pair of vintage boots there tonight. Great fit. Great price. The staff is very helpful. Recommemded a couple of pairs of boots till I found the pair I enjoy. Will be shopping there more

There is also a second location which was actually the first location. It is at the corner of 3rd ave NW and NW 65th. It is a small space organized and full of all kinds of well priced, afordable boots for men and women. I really loved that they had belts and a neighborhood cat hanging out. These women know and love their boots! There are plenty of sizes and shapes to choose from and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend checking out either one of their stores. Very affordable, for the quality of gear. This smaller location is cash only but they have a small parking lot off the street.

I love this shop with it's good selection of reasonably priced boots. The owner is lovely! If I owned a shop I would want to know if there was an issue, and I must say that the shop attendant had been rude, unfriendly & unhelpful on multiple occasions. I am a customer trying to spend money & if you are so unhappy at your job that you can't help customers w the basics like pointing out where their size is or saying hello, then maybe you should quit!

Been dying to make it by here and finally did on Sunday. I am super picky about my vintage and as any treasure hunter knows, some stores are sickly overwhelming. This place is amazing. Adorable location, wonderfully presented pieces that defy the stale smell of vintage. Soooo affordable and all of the pieces from stunning cowgirl boots, vintage beaded clutches, dresses, sweet men's snap-up plaids to repurposed costume jewelry are in pristine condition. I had to stop myself from draining my bank account. The owner's daughter was attentive and very enthusiastic. This is a true gem of a store. Please post hours here on Yelp!

A little bit of country, a whole lotta spunk, and so totally rocking the vintage vibe. Lots of cute vintage finds that are perfectly curated, plus adorable new and re-constructed pieces. Prices are in the $20-$30ish range from what I saw, but so totally worth it if you're not the biggest fan of digging through picked-over Goodwill racks.

Great little store with extremely cute vintage bags and shoes- which are completely affordable. I went in to browse and walked with away a purse and vintage sandals that were too unique and stylish to pass up- all under $50. I didn't catch the woman's name who runs the business but she was helpful and very knowledgeable about all her items in her store. I felt comfortable knowing I was buying quality items. Very dangerous store for people who love vintage!

A variety of vintage items for men and women. I always find at least 1 treasure I need to have when I go to Gold Dogs.

Vintage Angel has a great selection of vintage items, including boots, dresses, slips, purses & belts. I actually haven't bought anything yet, although I've been in this store several times. I just haven't found the right item yet and I don't like to splurge when it comes to vintage clothing. The prices are fair on most items, but not low enough that I'd purchase just anything. I'll be returning though!

Such a great shop! Good deals, nice people and it's packed with great things. Just recently, there have been changes, and there really are so many more items to shop through now. Still, lots of boots and leather bags, but also more apparel now. I got my grandfather a Pendleton that was pressed and clean, for something like $38! Check it out!

Discovered this place while I was pregnant and made a vow to come back once I had my baby. Well, made it in 7 weeks after he was born and got two adorable vintage style dresses, a vintage leather belt and an adorable pair of shades. The salesgirl was super helpful and not once did I feel like she was trying to push a sale on me. She helped me with figuring out a dress size (the dresses are super cute btw. Made to look vintage and very affordable ). Not only was she helpful in regards to selecting stuff to buy, but she was very kind and considerate of the fact that I had a wailing newborn. Brought me water so I could make his bottle, offered me use of their restroom so I could have some privacy and change him. Just all around a great experience. The shop is out of the way for me, but given the quality, great price and selection tied in with the superior customer service I will be back again.

This place is a hidden gem! I was looking for cowboy boots, and they had cowboy boots!! An amazing selection of boots, I would say best that I've seen in the area. Highly recommend!!

This is one of my absolute favorite stores to shop at. Believe me, I've shopped in a lot of different cities around the country, and I'm fortunate enough to have GoldDogs right here in my city! They have pretty much anything I would ever want, including things I didn't even know I wanted but had to have the moment I saw it. It's because of the owners' amazing vision for what is super hot, hip & sought after - which is why I say that I always find things that I didn't even realize I would love. There are so many things to choose from as far as women's and men's clothing, shoes, jewelry, bags, and lots of other cool accessories. It doesn't matter what your personal style is, or if you're shopping for someone else, you can be sure that you will find tons of stuff to suit you. And another great thing about GoldDogs is that their merchandise is extremely good quality, whether it's vintage, re-worked or new, as well as reasonably priced. Every time I wear a piece from GoldDogs, I get compliments wherever I go! I love this place and I HIGHLY recommend checking it out. You won't be disappointed!

LOVE this store!!! Always putting out new merch, something exciting to look at every time I step in. They mix vintage with reworked vintage, such a clever idea you can't find anything else like it! defiantly one of a kind gems.

ugh, what was the name of the gal who helped me... i think anastasia? that sounds right. yes. she had long pink/blonde hair. i had to get a dress STAT for an afternoon date at the symphony (omg 1st world problems~). pretty much ran in, blurted out my needs, and was quickly ensconced in a dressing room with things in my general size and price range being thrown at me. the dress was found, the money was exchanged, the day was saved. thank you again!
