Cute park. Great views. Cool art installations and very Ada friendly! Sidewalk paths all the way up the hill and to most if not all benched areas.

Last Friday, two young children filled their sweaters with leaves from the piles below the sidewalk. They worked a long time and ran up the hill over and over again to make the heart. Over the weekend, I’ve seen so many people take photos of the heart on the hill. I hope the little girls know how much love they’re spreading. 🩵🩷♥️🤍

Google
Spend some time in the Guthrie and then came outside to enjoy the the un-conditioned air :) The park is a beautiful open space. The hill gives you are great view of the entire surrounding area. Lovely :)

Google
Lovely park! It's bigger than the other parks along this road and has a lot of nice shady areas to relax in on a hot day. Has a few sculptures which is also cool, but the big sell for me is that there is enough nature here to enjoy!

Google
This is our favorite park which is a block from our condo. It's so peaceful and always a vibrant amount of people jogging, walking their dogs or just hanging out in the park. It's nice too because they closed off one of the roads so less traffic runs through the neighborhood hood which gives you a sense of peace. It's a wonderful little nook in the city right next to Mills Creek Park and Stone Arch Bridge

Google
Good one just right in the center of the skyscrapers .. nicely located with some wonderful sculptures. We love the sign of the park. Easy go to the top and you can have some awesome view. The us bank stadium is easily address from here. It's just beside the stone arch bridge. You can start yours hiking or walking and cross the bridge. wonderful location of the park.

Google
Very Good & Clean Park. We can see stone arch bridge view from here . It's having nice chairs to sit . Dogs can enjoy this park very nicely. I have done swing and hammock. One day, I made a picnic for myself 🤪😜🤩. We can do a snow tube in winter if snow is more. It's very walkable to Guthrie Theater, Rivergate, Churchill apartments, and downtown Minneapolis as well. There are no public restrooms in this area.

Google
Gold Medal Park is so beautiful, especially in the summer months when it's warm & the grass is green! It’s a great place to bring your dog, lay in a hammock, read a book, or just enjoy the views of Minneapolis & the river!

Yelp
Gold Medal Park lends itself to a neighborhood local park, with plenty of benches through out and a single hill in the middle that you can walk a path around to get to the top and then relax and enjoy the view. On the weekends there's a farmers market next door at the Guthrie and coffee trucks in front of the park.

Yelp
Another great park in the downtown area with few sculptures. People were having picnic or just relaxing in this park. The highlight is the hill that's in the middle of this park. The hill offers a paved walk up to the top which offers a great view of the city, and the rivers. Enjoy this great green space

Yelp
I have always admired Gold Medal Park but during the Pandemic this park has become even more of a gem. Its so well kept and accessible. There are so many activities going on all the time. From the early morning yoga classes to the afternoon HIIT classes, kids and dogs running to their heart's content, picnic gatherings and casual walking groups, this park is a haven for all. So glad to be able to enjoy it and appreciate the joy it brings.

Yelp
I ate dinner at a bench at Gold Medal Park this evening. It has some nice walking and running trails that I will be utilizing while I'm in town. The park also has a cool urban feel which I appreciated. If you're looking for a place to chill with you're family for a few, you should check out this park.

Yelp
An excellent urban park in the heart of the Mill District/Downtown East neighborhood of Minneapolis! Open since 2007, this dynamic 7.5 acre space named after the Gold Medal Flour brand is popular year-round and is great for picnics, running, dog walking and just plain relaxing. One of the best things about Minneapolis is its robust park system and Gold Medal is the epitome of the community's recent commitment to green space and the arts. Between 2015-2017, four sculptures previously located in the Walker Art Center's Sculpture Garden were relocated to the park. Its focal point is a 32-foot-high mound by a lit, spiral walkway that offers panoramic views of the nearby Guthrie Theatre, downtown, Mill Ruins Park, the Stone Arch Bridge, St. Anthony Main neighborhood and the University of Minnesota campus. It's always clean and well-lit and connects to many local attractions and trail systems including the Dinkytown Greenway and the Mississippi River. I haven't yet seen the park active in the summertime, but I can't wait to see the food trucks and bike share activity that apparently takes place during the warmer months.

Loca M.

Yelp
Come here for a great view of the city skyline at the top of the hill. Not much of a view of the river, but well maintained grass.
google avatar

Monique H.

Yelp
One of the things I love about the Twin Cities is that there is such beauty dispersed in these little pockets around the busy downtown district. This park is situated across from Saint Anthony Main overlooking the Mississippi River and is right next to the Guthrie Theater. There are various works of art located here and a wonderful spiral path that takes you to the top of the hill so you can take in the gorgeous view. Grab an ice cream from Izzy's across the street and spend some time here.

Yelp
How amazing that in downtown of a major city, there is a bright green and grass filled park! Buy some food at the farmers market and walk over here to have a picnic. Sit at the base of the hill on the wooden benches or bring a blanket. There are always people outside breathing in fresh air. Take some time to walk up the spiral path and enjoy the views at the top. There are trees, but they do not block the water, bridge, bikers, walkers, runners, dogs, cars, buildings and more! I would also recommend coming here in the evening. All the city lights are on, and yet this is a great place to go to relax. There are meters and the Guthrie ramp for parking. Honestly, most people bike, walk or skate here when the weather is appropriate. If you get a chance, look at the park from inside the Guthrie. The entire high-look view of the hill is spectacular. Enjoy this green space!

Yelp
Great place to escape from the main city area and there is a lot to look at and observe especially the sculptures and the giant hill.
google avatar

Yelp
Gold Medal Park is located right next door to the Guthrie Theater. I managed to get out one day and go for a walk along the path that leads one to the summit of the park - which affords a nice view of the surrounding area. Good place to get a little exercise, some fresh air, and some sunshine!
google avatar

Yelp
What a beautiful park!! Such an awesome space right on the river and adjacent from downtown. Conveniently located right next to an ice cream shop as well (insert plug for Izzy's). But really though, this park offers a lot for such a small place. It's very dog friendly, has a little hike -doable for a family - with a seating area on a hill, offers space for people to throw a frisbee around, and has lots of trees for shade or a hammock. I took my staff here for a retreat for a few hours, and it was very relaxing. We played some games, hung out in the shade, and got away from the busy life for a little while. Parking is available on the street, but there isn't free parking nearby. I'd highly recommend gold medal park on a sunny day. Bring the dog or any outdoor activities you want to try out!

Yelp
Beautiful park! Clean, maintained and surrounded by interesting architecture. Wow! We love Minnesota.

Yelp
When I need to escape the confines of Cubicle Claustrophobia over the lunch hour this is where I come. My happy place. Away from all the office nonsense and over abundance of team building excercises and doing everything "value added". This park is an added value to Minneapolis! It's a reasonable walking distance from work and the views are inviting. Almost too inviting with the temptation not to return to work. I enjoy catching the rays in the summer time sprawled out on on the grass or sitting on the wooden benches. Beware of the slats on the wooden benches. I dropped my key and badge in between the slats one day and spent half my lunch trying to fish it out. It's amusing to see all the bus loads of kids rolling down the hill (mound) on their field trips and running amok in the grass. Makes me wish I was still in school and could go on field trips. One of these days, maybe I will run to the top and scream, "this sucks" and head back to work. I bet it would feel good. Park is very clean and well taken care of.

Yelp
This was the first time that I had been to this park. It was gorgeous an bigger then I expected. I was there for a Fitbit event and there were over 200 of us and there was plenty of room to spare. I loved the spiral hill in the middle of the park that you can go up and see a great view of the city and of the stone arch bridge. I would definitely recommend checking this park out if you are in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful and clean. Quiet and peaceful. This park is perfect for a chill day. Next time I'm bringing some paper and a pen and maybe a book!
google avatar

Grace H.

Yelp
I like jogging by in the late afternoon after work. There's some nice condos and Izzy's ice cream nearby if I ever want a treat. The Guthrie theater is also nearby along with some neat shops and restaurants. After running through the park I like to go enjoy the view along the Stone Arch Bridge. Oh yea and viewing fireworks from the top of the hill is pretty legit.
google avatar

Chimeren P.

Yelp
Unique park with a large hill in the middle with a concrete circle path that wraps around it. The coolest thing is that you can see this park from the Guthrie theater's viewing rooms and the day I went a guy had written in chalk on the sidewalk that warps around the hill ""Will you marry me?". Awe! How romantic is that! Great idea whoever you are, I hope she said yes! If you want to make a day of it, visit this park, the mill city ruins park which is basically connected by a path and walk the stone arch bridge. And if your not too tired then go scope out the views from the Guthrie. Great place to get some fresh air and enjoy the waterfront area.
google avatar

Mikołaj S.

Yelp
This park is absolutely beautiful! We stop by every time we go to Izzy's for ice cream. We walk the circle path up the hill, sit on the benches, and admire the breathtaking views. It is gorgeous during the day, but we happen to love this park at night, when everything is lite up blue and the city lights are on all around us. Will we back? Yes we will.
google avatar

Scott H.

Yelp
A great place to putz around and chill out. We took the dog up the hill and just sat and people watched. Great to see so many people using the park to exercise. Good photo ops here too. I shall return
google avatar

Chris Y.

Yelp
This is a great spot to check out if you are in Minneapolis!! Great views of the Mississippi River and downtown Minneapolis, right next to the Guthrie Theater. It's actually super-awesome at nighttime, too. Just watch out for the mosquitos!!
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
This park is small but it's absolutely lovely. The winding path up the hill leads to a small garden with spectacular views of the river on one side and the Minneapolis skyline on the other. Oh, and then there's that big blue abomination too. But did you know that it has pictures on the side that can only be viewed from certain angles? I didn't. Come for a stroll, have a picnic, or just lounge on the lush grass in the summertime. This little corner on the edge of downtown is a nice, quiet place to enjoy a couple of hours on a summer afternoon.
google avatar

Kim N.

Yelp
The day i went it was over run with prom kids. However walk up the spiral path, sit on the hill and all is good. Some couple made for a makeshift wedding ceremony up there and kids running abound. The power unit that anchors the lines down the river is eery and beautiful at the same time. I sat watching the sun set and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon

Sandra L.

Yelp
Beautiful. Just beautiful. This park was recommended by a friend. It was the perfect location for a birthday lunch.
google avatar

Annie D.

Yelp
If love to play King of the Hill, here's a big hill for you to reign over. It's not a back-to-nature park, because it's all perfectly groomed grass and perfectly spaced trees. The eco-friendly bits inside me don't like this part at all. This park sorta reminds me of an art installation. There are no real amenities besides some benches at the top and the 360-degree view, which is one of the best in the city. When you drag yourself up to the top of that hill, the views are incredible. In the fall, all the trees change at once and it's this serene sea of yellow below you. That's the best. Aside from that though, it's actually kind of an odd, quiet park. But it's urban greenery with a killer view, so there's no way I'm giving it less than four stars!
google avatar

Andy Z.

Yelp
A good part of one of the best nights of my life took place here. It's a great place to just hang out and talk while enjoying the scenery. I really miss it.
google avatar

Ashley F.

Yelp
What a great place to just "be" in Minneapolis. I've had so many good moments here. It's a simple little park, but from here you can get a great perspective of the city. It's fun to come at night, when the sprinklers are on in the summer heat, and ride your bike through them. Take your bike to the top of the hill, and ride down quickly, getting a little dizzy from the adventure of it. After a show at the Guthrie, it's a fun place to picnic with your friend or lover. Get some take out from that cute Thai place and sit in the nice grass. This review is obviously missing the hell out of summer, but I hope you get the point. The 35-W Bridge memorial is well-designed, but it's real beauty only really comes through at night. A great place.
google avatar

Zachary S.

Yelp
I find it funny that parks have addresses. This one even has a phone number! Somebody call it please, and let me know what you get. And by the way, I got the information from google, so it is GOLDEN. NIce park. 7.5 acres. Next to the Guthrie. Wind your way to the top and sit and enjoy the view. The wind over the river pushed towards us clouds trailing gentle wisps of rain.
google avatar

Kendra P.

Yelp
This is a small park located next to the Guthrie theater and the Mississippi river in downtown Minneapolis. The park gets prettier and prettier as the trees grow older (it is a fairly new park). I ran in a 5k past this park and it was absolutely lovely! The river and the blue and gold Guthrie building make a great background. The view of the river is highlighted for park visitors by climbing the mound in the center. If you visit, you have to stroll to the top! It is simple and green (during the warmer months). What is not to like?
google avatar

Tony R.

Yelp
This is a wonderful find in the midst of the busy city. In the Summer time you can Walk, Jog, or run around this parks trails if your looking to work off some energy. I Love this place because you can pick a spot in the grass or one of the private benches and relax in piece and quite and eat your lunch in your own "Serenity Now" bubble. If you like to people watch you will find all types going through here, ones walking there dogs, playing Frisbee, napping , it brings them all.
google avatar

Johnny V.

Yelp
Lovely spot right in the middle of downtown. Went for a walk there in the middle of the night after checking out the Guthrie and it was beautiful.
google avatar

Chris D.

Yelp
From what I've been told the hill is a monument to the 35-W victims, not totally sure about that one though. It's a pretty park, but I wish the dog owners would clean up after their pets, esp in winter. That poop just sits there from december till April. Kind of lame (I'm looking at you Bridgewater residents... Esp that contractor with the golden...) Also, please please please cut back on the watering schedule, there are gnats everywhere from the fungus from over-watering and parts of the park are like a swamp.
google avatar

Kelsey O.

Yelp
Beautiful park adjacent to the Guthrie Theater. Nice breath of fresh air in the city with a fab view.
google avatar

Kareem I.

Yelp
Beautiful park and great area! Came here on July 4th for the fireworks. I will definitely be back this year, and I'll get there a bit earlier this time!
google avatar

Stephan K.

Yelp
This park provides a great view of the Mississippi River and its surroundings. Kids and family friendly.
google avatar

Liz L.

Yelp
Beautiful. Clean. Go to the top of the hill for amazing views. Great bars, restaurants and ice cream nearby as well.
google avatar

Corey E.

Yelp
This is a great little park, you can toboggan down the hill with the kids in winter and let them ride down it in the summer. The is no play equipment but nice grass to kick a ball around or fly a kite.
