What a disappointing stay! - dust mites and bed bugs - 2 broken beds in 2 different rooms: after the first night, we were moved to another new with ANOTHER broken bed making that #3 - bathroom amenities weren't changed/replaced from previous guests - lack of management skills is evident at front desk: no communication happened between different shifts, we were bothered day after day about proof of payment when this was sent well before our stay AND AGAIN THRICE to different shifts at reception - Complaints were brushed off as if they did not matter A formal complaint was laid after our return home, and a discounted rate was offered on our NEXT stay as an apology. Tell me, why would we choose to come back to your establishment? Our stay was unpleasant and uncomfortable. As much as we appreciate this form of apology, why waste more money to endure round 2. Welcomed by friendly staff, our family stayed in the Nile Suite.||We enjoyed Beautiful spacious rooms with on suite bathrooms.|Lovely vintage style bath tubs.|Two king size beds, an entrance area with dining table and lounge.|The reservations staff assisted us with a cot for our 8 month old baby.|Bed linen felt soft, fresh and the cushions were comfortable.||Room service was quick. Close to a variety of restaurants and entertainment including a cinema.|A peaceful evening was had with no noise.||Im a florist so would have loved a fresh flower display in the lobby and an Orchid or florals in the suite.||We loved the access to the theme park, it was good family fun making this hotel extra special.||Thank you Gold Reef City Hotel team, we cant wait to visit again!!

Rooms are great! Clean, warm water is enough, nice balcony, perfect stay, free theme park tickets and breakfast ❤️ Constructive criticism: TVs need access to YouTube if possible. If checkout time could be extended that would be great. 2pm check in to 2pm checkout would be a fair deal and a choice of free breakfast or lunch would be ideal. Some of us want to sleep late lol

Hotel room is dimly lit and you can hear outside noise. Thankfully you can't hear between the rooms. Other than that the staff were amazing and the cleaners do a spectacular job.

Beautiful designed room .. it's giving victorian .. however the lighting was abit too dim for my liking

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel , staff was friendly and very helpful. Especially loved the staff at the breakfast ....service with a smile 😃 Wish that we were given an extra hour before the park opened and after it closed. ..it would make the experience a whole lot better as we had to wait in long queues for rides and couldn't get on very many rides even though we stayed on-site.

I stayed a couple of days in June 2023 with my family and the hotel did not have water throughout our stay. When we complained that we were not informed of this, the receptionist was unapologetic about it. We moved out a day earlier and sent an email requesting a refund for the last day, with no response. I am currently staying with my family for the new year’s long weekend, and we were given one of the rooms with the bed that falls from the foot end. When we complained about it, we got the same attitude from the receptionist of “there is nothing we can do about it”. The facility is good, but don’t expect good customer care, to avoid disappointment, as the receptionist treat you like she is doing you a favour, when you pay to keep them in business. Management don’t care to respond to emails either. Please pay attention to Google reviews on this hotel in general, you would notice that management only responded to positive reviews!
