The park is well laid out and very easy to navigate, with clear signage and pathways that make moving around simple, even during busy times. The staff are one of the park’s greatest highlights. They are friendly, professional, and always willing to assist, ensuring that guests feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the day. Their positive attitude adds greatly to the overall experience. The park is extremely family-friendly, offering a wide variety of attractions suitable for both children and adults. Great place for the family to have a really fun time together. My boys 12 and 13 absolutely loved it !! Great price as well, such good value for money. For the same price as a 3D movie + Popcorn you get 8 hours of fun and excitement. You can arrive at 8.45 am make sure you buy your tickets online before you arrive ( easiest online experience you could ever ask for.) and stay until 16h45 when the last rides finish.

It was a great day out. Not cheap but the rides were good. Food affordable and the kids loved every second being there. Still so much to do. Will take another 3 visits to see all the main attractions. And more to see once that is done. Glad to see the gold pour is back.

Gold Reef City is actually a lot of fun. The rides are both scary and exciting my wife and I went on my birthday and had a great time. The only issue is the queues. We waited over an hour just to get on the Anaconda, and most of the other rides had waiting times of 30 minutes or more. The place is also a maze. It’s very easy to get lost, and when it’s packed, you can easily lose track of your little ones. It’s also quite expensive the food inside is definitely overpriced but overall, the experience is worth it.

Myself and team had a wonderful experience during the Stranger Things season 5 event. So well done and loved it regardless of the weather. Unfortunately we didn’t see all the awesome that the Saturday crew experienced and that was sad. Also some rides closed at 4:30pm and not 5pm which was weird and unfortunate. Along with not having access to the arcade. I will say the security staff at entrance gate was tops as they really looked after you g females waiting on transportation at night. Well done 🤩 ( special female security guard 🫶). Other than the event, I am pleasantly surprised how this theme park has changed and improved. Keep it up 🙌

Another one for our family bucket list. Booked tickets online via Tsogo Sun. Various discounts apply for your card status. Free parking for the amusement park. Please keep the ticket safe. Was a bit of a wait to redeem the online tickets and get the bands. I was informed by other visitors that it is like this during the school holidays. We did as much of the family rides available. The little one enjoyed herself on her part of the park and my teenager was thrilled with the Tower of Terror and the Anaconda. The raging rapids was a huge hit for our family. The wait however was too long. But we walked away with big smiles and ticked this one off our list. There are some things that could have been done better and Tsogo Sun Hospitality or F&B departments can look into to improve. Sausage Saloon had no corn dogs. The Corn Artist had no sweetcorn. It's pointless having NO QUEUE JUMPING signs all over the park but have no one to enforce it.

Gold reef city theme park is a great outing for kids and adults alike. Tickets are only available online and you have to arrive at the park and stand in a queue to collect the wrist bands for the day. (NOTE: Security does ask that only 1 person from a group stand in the queue, so please make sure that the kiddies are close by or are with a responsible adult). Depending on how busy it is, this can be a bit of a pain. So you can walk in and out of the park all day. There are maps scattered throughout the park and it is relatively easy to find your way around. Wear good walking shoes. Everything is well spaced out. The park caters for a little kiddies as well as the older kids. There are lots of fast paced rides to cater for everyone's type of adrenaline addiction. From aerial rollercoasters to dropping water rides. There is something for everyone. Queues for popular attractions like the Storm Chaser or Anaconda can be very long due to its popularity. There are no food or drinks allowed to be brought in. Remember the bag checks at the entrance. Everything has to be purchased on the premise at an egregiously inflated price. The price of a coke varies from shop to shop. There are various restaurants on site allowing a wide selection of food. Restaurants do get very full around lunch time and finding a place with a short queue or an open table can be a arduous task. Overall it is fun day out for familys and groups of friends. The park does close at 5 and the vehicle exit queues will take a while to clear. Rather take your time in the park to chill or walk around having ice cream.😜
