Goldberg's Famous Deli & Restaurant

My first time in Westhampton and I have been here for a week. When I say that have been to this place almost every day this week, I’m not kidding! The first day I had a bagel with lox, tomato, cucumber and scallion cream cheese. It was delicious! I also had a Ruben sandwich. The meat was perfect and piled high. I’m currently eating the French toast with fresh fruit and it is hands down the best I’ve had. The fruit is fresh and sweet! I’m not sure what kind of bread they use but it made the most perfect slices. I’ve also had the egg salad & the tuna salad both of which were really yummy! Even when the place was busy the staff was friendly and fast. If you find yourself in the area, do not pass up the chance to eat here! They also have a wonderful variety of other foods such as chips drinks, pastries and drinks. Sitting outside is also wonderful as they have a very nice patio.

Line was smooth…fast to order but not too fast to rush the wrong order. Staff super friendly, you could tell there’s a reason the bagels taste the way they do. The bagels… strong character, undeniably high integrity dough, and peak sandwich craftsmanship. I left Goldberg’s feeling refreshed, energized, and inspired to take on the day. Seriously, best BEC sandwich I had in a LONG time. Great value, atmosphere, and all around experience

OVERRATED AND NOT WORTH UR TIME. Ordered an egg and turkey and they got my order wrong by adding a ton of cheese. Couldn’t eat it and didn’t want to go back in because they gave my boyfriend major attitude when he went back in to check on the order and ti pick up the order/pay. I’m being generous when I say the food was a two. Just because my boyfriend thought his BEC bagel was fine. I’ve had better bagels and they’re definitely not worth the hour wait.

I just walked out of this place. The staff, rude and ignoring me, it was my first time there and I should have walked out. Toasted bagel with butter and a half dozen. Handed to me altogether in one bag, great - no problem. I pull over a little further down the parking lot and open the toasted buttered bagel. It is swimming in butter, so much that you can see the still solid butter on it. Coming from the City, Suffolk has yet to give me a good bagel - but this place was so bad I actually threw the whole bag out and wrote a review. Please treat a customer with some respect and make them feel welcomed. I see now what you are famous for.

This place has zero affiliation with the real deal Goldbergs! It's a complete rip-off and doesn't offer the same quality or charm. Please do not waste your time here as the staff is rude and all you need to do is make a 10-minute trek to one of the real deal locations that was founded in the 1940s. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews, but I thought it was necessary as I mistakenly went here thinking it was affiliated and was hugely disappointed. Bagels are stale just like the people who work here. Why not just call it the "West Hampton bagel shop"? As small business owner myself. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to ride the coattails of another local business.

I don’t recommend going to this Goldberg’s location . We weren’t greeted when we arrived, even though the staff saw us waiting. When it was finally our turn to order. The person taking our order kept talking over us and didn’t seem to listen. As a result, we received the wrong order — not what we had asked for. When we called the store, another staff member confirmed that he hadn’t written down our order correctly. Overall, the service was careless and frustrating.

6$ for an egg bagel with cream cheese. there was a hair baked into it, the woman at the counter was snippy and rude, and the bagel was not even worth the hassle it was tough cheery with no flavor, couldn’t even be bothered to put a decent amount of cream cheese on top. can’t believe this place is “famous” for their food..

The white girl at the register is consistently rude and disrespectful to both customers and the other people she works with. Her manner of speaking to her colleagues & customers is unacceptable and downright disgusting. She has no right to treat anyone so poorly and needs a serious reality check. Her behavior reflects poorly on the business. If she were one of my employees, she would no longer be employed. This needs to be addressed immediately.

Overwhelmingly underwhelmed. Nova Lox platter should be renamed a sliced tomato platter over a little lox with a filler of shredded iceberg lettuce. Overstuffed deli sandwich was all bread with a little deli meat. To add insult to injury, the ingredients were worse than a supermarket deli counter but cost $50. Never again! Southampton location is night and day compared to this.

Slow, inefficient and rude staff. I d not mind waiting if folks are pleasant. Bagels were nice and salads good

This Goldberg's location is around three times the size of the one I frequent in East Quogue, with a ton of to go options, drinks, prepackaged cream cheeses, you name it. I came here on a Saturday morning during off season and had the place pretty much to myself. I was honestly overwhelmed at all the options here, even the sandwich list was more robust and different than what I'm used to in East Quogue, so it took me a minute to decide what direction to go in. There are also plenty of tables to sit at, and the place is very clean. I hadn't had whitefish in a while, so I ordered an everything bagel with whitefish and lettuce. I grabbed a hot coffee which I found out came free with my bagel...but when I saw the total I was pretty shocked. My sandwich came to $17. Looking at the board, I could've just purchased whitefish for $6.75 for 1/4 pound, plus my bagel for a few dollars more and saved there. I'm used to things being more expensive out here but damn, that one hurt. Regardless, service was quick, people were friendly, my bagel was packed with whitefish and lettuce and the bagel itself was warm and delicious. You get what you pay for, I guess.

To describe our visit over the weekend: horrendous. If I could give this a 0 star, I would have. To start with, the person taking our order was impatient and seemed bothered we had questions about the menu. Ultimately, she got 2 out of our 4 orders wrong. We would have gone back inside to try to correct them, but.... From the time we ordered to the time we got our food, it took 25 minutes!! It's not like we ordered a lot: a toasted bagel (that wasn't) and 3 sandwiches (one of which had a completely different dressing than what we asked for). Had we gone back, who knows how much longer it would have been...and from previous reviews, it sounds as if that would not have been received well. And it's not like it was all that crowded. Only a couple of people ahead of us, so a 25 minute wait for a few sandwiches was unacceptable. To make matters worse: the cost! Again, 3 very basic, mediocre sandwiches, a bagel, some iced teas and chips: $100!! I'm not kidding. If we were weren't so hungry from having waited so long, we would have left the food there and just walked out once the grumpy cashier told us how much it was. We were visiting for the day, so I don't know the local area, but I can't imagine that there's no other place that serves similar food and would treat their customers better with better food. Now maybe there isn't and that's why they can get away with it, but shame on them. People deserve better. Even so, do yourself a favor and stay away!

Horrible experience this morning 8/3 The cashier was a little on the nasty side she gave 3 of the wrong orders to the wrong people and acted like it was our fault. The other people left and then had to drive back. My change was $2.50 She gave me $2.20 I would not mind,but she was soo nasty,I corrected her and she said sorry we are short on change. Really and also an older gentleman was taking orders orders for friends as others waited on the long line. Very over priced and not a happy cashier. look at the other reviews the cashier is mentioned several times as rude. Keep you bagels.

Stopped by for lunch on the way to visit friends. We were struck by the warm vibe of the place. The couple behind the counter were lovely and chatted with the many regulars who passed through. The food was OK. My wife liked her Greek wrap. I had tuna on a bagel. I'm a bagel snob and found Goldberg's offering to be mediocre. Even though we stayed for our meal, there were no plates or trays offered. Not the bagels of the gods, but a solid place. Extra credit: A college classmate worked at the original location in Queens in the 1970's and gave me a striped Goldberg's shirt, which is long departed.

10/10!!! My friends and I went here for bagels and snacks. Bagels were soooo good and it was easy to order. These people love their job and interact with each customer. Defiantly reccomend. Cozy tables inside and outside.

Goldberg's Famous is the BEST! I ordered catered sandwiches and salads for a large group and the quality was top-notch and delicious! Everyone from the owner, Craig, to the servers is smart, attentive and helpful. They took care of me and made sure everything was prepared following dietary restrictions. They offered the most delicious food at a great cost and on time. I can't recommend Golberg's Famous in Westhampton enough! 10/10

I think this location is not part of the Goldbergs chain out in the Hamptons. The employees are miserable (just was there on 03/13/25) overpriced, mediocre food, bagels I give a 3 out of 10. The nerve to charge $1.00 to scope out a bagel. Employees don't ;isyen to what you order. Very unpleasent place to eat. Avoid this Goldbergs, I've enjoyed all other locations and I bet this location is independent. Will never go back!

The staff at the registry was very rude and the line moved very slowly. Bagels were also not great.

Okay here goes- the chicken salad and egg sandwich's, bagels were good, it's WestHampton for god sake, you rightfully expect good bagels and bagel type foods - what was horrible is how slow this place is- glacial is too fast. We went twice, both times waited 40 -45 minutes from walking in to getting food , the line was not that long at all maybe 6 people each day- but so slooooow. So slow in fact that we needed ice because the drinks i grabbed while waiting in line were room temperature by the time food came. I liked it but no way I could deal with that wait again so we went elsewhere the other days we were in town

First of all, this place is in no way affiliated with Goldberg's Famous Bagels--which has outposts in East Quogue, Riverhead, Southampton, Etc. Don't think you are getting those Goldberg's Famous Bagels high quality bagels & spreads here. Although the tuna is decent. This place has yet to get my order correct, and the owners (yes that rude woman at the register that EVERYONE complains about is the owner) could not be nastier. Don't even consider mentioning that your order is wrong to them. I finally decided to vote with my wallet and never to return to this mediocre eatery. If you're looking for alternatives, there's Goldbergs in East Quogue or Bagels and Brunch in Eastport. Schmidt's in Quogue also has great bagels and Bacon Egg Cheese and cute little tables out front or you can sit at picnic benches across the street.

Fresh hot bagels en route to the beach like minded individuals eat here #USA also piping hot fresh coffee w all the side perks the manager rudely and unfriendly.... said no bathroom use.. I spend $50!! No bathroom after I ate my breakast and drank 2 coffees?? What is this ? Are you serious? Isnt it a law when you have seating you need s restroom?

Went to open the door of Westhampton's only bagel place. Closed! Monday's. Checked in outside then couldn't open the door. Where am I going to get whitefish and everything bagel. I don't see driving to Mattituck. And I don't know about the volume of whitefish done in East Quogue or Hampton Bays. So not too sure worth the drive east. Another poor soul just braved the street reconstruction and odd mid construction marked parking. Looking cool in hat and sun glasses also turned back in abject despair. Well maybe not. But people are out in the cold out this Monday.

Admittedly I was there at what is likely the busiest time of their year - Labor Day Weekend. The food is good. But their prices are ridiculously high. Even for a Hampton. They charge $6.50 for a plain iced tea. And forgot my requested lemon. $6.50? There is at most $1.50 worth of ingredients in that 20oz cup. Including the cup, top and straw. I am all for small business owners making a fair wage, but that feels practically criminal. $13.95 for a tuna fish sandwich on a bagel. Plus they charged $3.00 to add a slice of tomato and onion to a sandwich. If they were more reasonably priced I would have given them a great review, and I would be a much more frequent - and happier - customer.

Apart from the fact that the food is very overpriced, the people working the counter and answering phone calls are always extremely rude. Very disappointing.

Been coming here for 10 years because it's the only bagel spot in town. Idc that they charge $12 for a bacon egg and cheese and $7 for a coffee. But the woman owner is a scam artist. She over charges everyone every single time. I haven't gone here once and not had to say "hey, you over charged us by $5-$15". Then she freaks out and yells at you, says she's the owner and then when you hve to break down your bill and show her how she's wrong she throws your card back at you and says to stop coming back. This has happened multiple occasions lol. I still come back I think just to call her out on her scam in front of everyone. Today's over charge was $30 for 6 bagels that cost $1.95 each.

This place is a must!! I'm obsessed with their flagels (flat bagels) and their regular bagels. So so good!

This place is ridiculously overpriced and the food is sub par. There's a reason why they only have 2.5 stars, The owners are pompous and rude.

Absolutely a great find and great place with real people. Definitely recommend getting the Ruben here and the Potato Salad. This is by far a great bang for your buck and the locals love it.

Came here for breakfast. I ordered an egg and cheese on a whole wheat everything bagel; very good! My husband ordered a veggie omelet (average) with a hash brown. The hash brown was greasy and premade. Somehow the bill was $28. The woman behind the counter was not very friendly. I went back to get the bagel that came with the omelet. I said doesn't it come with the omelet and she said if you want. I asked for a raisin bagel and confirmed when she handed it to me. She said, no you said sesame. She was visibly annoyed and grabbed the raisin bagel. Would come here to grab a quick bagel, otherwise, prefer the bakery down the road.

Overpriced, slow service, and food was extremely disappointing for the price. I had the Manhattan wrap, and it was not good/fresh at all. Tasted like a prepackaged wrap from a grocery store. Sorry to say, will not return.

Great bagels always fresh and authentic New York style as it gets lox is always very fresh and nice selection of cream cheeses salads and sandwiches can't go wrong with an egg sandwich either always good food at Goldberg's Westhampton God bless

Thank you Laurie for making my sister in law's birthday so special. You were such a delight to work with. The entire team at goldbergs westhampton beach is the best. especially the rainbow bagel for my nephew! 5 stars!

Staff was completely rude to my family and children. I've been out east for over 15years and this place is price gouging it's customers. Complete rip off for the product and to boot they messed it up!!

Plain bagel with plain cream cheese, and small hot coffee. $8.44. Wait, what? Maybe Westhampton is starting to be part of the real Hamptons.

Goldbergs is supposed to be a safe haven for the Jewish community during these difficult times. Today, on Christmas, I walked miles to Main Street to have their elite bagels and as I walked to the door a man locked me out. When I asked so kindly why they were closing an hour earlier than their sign posted, I didn't even get a decent response. I expected more from my own people.

I must say I seldom write reviews, but this place wasn't worth it, it is quite expensive. I had a tofu cream cheese bagel, there was literally no spread, pretty much as little as could be put on something to qualify for a taste . I would have taken it back to ask why but just thought I would not go there again. The bagel itself was also tasteless and chewy. Maybe they were having a bad day but I would not go there again.

After calling Goldbergs Bagels to see if they have Glutton free bagels and confirming they did, I went there feeling good about it. When I placed my order, I found they had Udons Glutton Free. OK, not a problem except they were frozen bagels. OK not a problem, The violation is they charged me $3.00 a piece or $9.00.00 Wow. I was in a bit of a state of shock but I paid them anyway. I own this. But this is a major rip-off. I guess they lost a customer. (I've been know to buy regular bagels as well.

Good afternoon everybody. I recently came here with some girl friends while visiting Westhampton. I ordered a bacon, egg, hash brown on sesame bagel. It was the most expense breakfast sandwich I've ever had but i'd rate it a 6/10 because of inflation. Nice people. Long line. Small space.

Everything says they close at. 3pm but I was reminded several times of their closing at 2pm. actually as soon as I walked in was told the grill was closed, rudely told the things I was trying to order weren't available but shut down when I asked what was available. I get it's the afternoon. Others walked in to the same attitude and frankly I wish I didn't spend the $50 I did there for a mediocre lunch.

I wasn't gonna leave a review here, but I left this via Google Reviews and received such a rude response that I have to... This was truly one of the most upsetting experiences I've ever had with an eating establishment. Came to Westhampton, and feel I have to clarify that this was Goldberg's Westhampton specifically since there a few nearby. Craig and Laura are the owners to make this more specific. Came in with friends and ordered food that totaled out to $60, when we got to the cash register, Laura charged us $90- which was obviously shocking. We asked for an itemized receipt and she got extremely angry with us, refusing to explain why we were being charged so much higher. She would not give us a receipt, would not agree to split the bill among the four of us, and chastised us for inquiring. We ended up doing the math with Craig, and it came out to $60 as we first thought. He looked at Laura and was like... "what else did you charge them for?" wherein she got nervous/defensive and threw a $10 bill at us, storming away. It was incredibly awkward. Don't get me wrong, Craig is a super nice guy and we had a lovely chat... but it all kind of fell flat when we got swindled so hard. Had to put this warning out there- make sure you ask for a receipt and are certain with how they're charging you. Based on other reviews I see here they do this a lot... which is... illegal.

Great bagels! Probably some of the best I've ever had if I'm being honest (I say this as an NYC native). Always busy on the weekends during the summer. Make sure you call in your order otherwise it may take a while. Perfect place for morning breakfast on your way home from Westhampton.

DON'T CALL TO PLACE AN ORDER FOR PICKUP. So I called to place an order for pickup. When I finished giving the woman my order, she asked for my card number which I thought was weird cause normally you pay when you pick up and that's what I was planning to do but whatever. As I was giving her my card number she was literally repeating every number I said out loud.. so I was uncomfortable. Then out of no where she goes "yk what I'll just make your order when you get here" and then literally hung up on me. I tried to call back like 3 times and no answer. So this woman took my card number and hung up on me. Unprofessional. Don't go to this location.

Bagels are good, breakfast sandwich was mildly warm (even though no line on a Monday at 10am). I'm from eastern LI and understand the culture, but the service was indeed an issue. Moody teens taking orders and running the register are not ideal, and the old gentleman running the show was no better. I get how NY people are, straight to the point, no fluff, but you're running a restaurant here in a tourist town. People aslo complained about prices. These people have to recognize you're buying a begal sandwich in Westhampton... Not at the fisherman's deli in mastic beach or a strip mall in Seldon. There's gonna be a mark up. $20 for two egg bagels and coffee wasn't totally outrageous. All that said, I'd go back because the bagels were good and the location was convenient. But as to the service, step your game up... It's pretty easy. Say hello, say thank you. Just a thought.

Way overpriced. Charged $14 for magic pop. When i asked them to check the price, they insisted that was correct.

Terrible service. You think they would figure out how to take an order and keep the line moving. Waited online for 30 minutes and the line did not move at all. It is obvious how unprepared and unprofessional this deli is. Called to place an order in advance and they said they weren't taking orders over the phone during covid-19 just to see people picking up orders when I arrived. Better/friendlier options around. Save your time!

Bad bagels. Take the 15 minute drive to riverhead, this isn't worth it. Bagels weren't toasted, barely any seasoning on the everything bagel.

Most dysfunctional ordering system I have ever seen from any deli or bakery. Truly a disappointment.

I had to give one star, only because it wouldn't allow me to post without. I will never go back to Goldberg's famous if it was the only place on earth. I called and placed a very simple order, when I go there I was told that no order was made even though my call log on my cell shows two calls prior to 9am. I don't like to be called a liar and then on top of that the girl behind the counter told me to shut the fuck up. I wouldn't piss on this place if it was on fire.

I've always felt a little disdain for the 'flagel.' And not just because most portmanteaus are the absolute worst (see 'chillax,' 'webinar,' 'bromance', 'tofurkey,' 'momtrepreneur' and 'mocktail'). Because there are a few portmanteaus that kick serious ass (see 'liger,' 'shart,' and I think that's it). At Goldberg's, however, I have nothing but respect for their flagels. Instead of desecrating the entire bagelmaking institution and essentially just charging the same for a smaller, less delicious bagel, Goldberg's has taken their regular bagel and just flattened it out a bit, as the gods intended when they first conceptualized the flagel. The result is that their flagel has lost none of the carby goodness of an actual bagel, but it's really just an excuse to slather the greater surface area with more cream cheese. Which is something I hope we can all get behind. What's more is that Goldberg's everything flagel has more everything on it than I've ever seen (including salt, which should always be included in the everything). Both sides of the flagel are absolutely covered in onion, poppy, sesame, salt goodness, ensuring that even if I split a bagel with my wife, we both get everything, as opposed to just her because she's bigger and scarier. Yes, just about everything is obscenely expensive and the service could use some serious work, but if you aren't happy about the everything flagels here at Goldberg's, get some new taste.

Everyone was incredibly kind and courteous as well as entertaining of my son and his newfound friend, a stick he found in the woods. Bagels are wonderful, the iced tea on tap is supreme, and a free lollipop for the lad ... we're all happy. Any negative review on here are from the folks I watched leave frustrated at the fact that they weren't the only person looking for a bagel or sammie in the AM. Wake up on the better side of the bed folks!

Overpriced. Charge way too much for cream cheese and coffee bulk. The bagels are good but the extra things are not nearly worth the price.

Weekends are always busy even chaotic. But one thing consistent is the rude woman at the register. It's hard to believe that someone who appears to be angry all the time can be In a customer facing position. Being the only bagel store in town seems to allow them to not really care how they treat customers.

Stopped in on Saturday morning to get some breakfast and asked to use their restroom but it was locked with a note that it is closed. When I asked to use it I was told it is closed due to Covid. When I reminded them that ordinances requires a food service to make a restroom available they told me the restroom was broken. If it was broken people may want to consider where the staff goes before they prepare their food. The department of health may want to take a look.

If rude service and a mediocre bagel made by people not wearing masks or caring how long you wait.... you're in right place. And don't bother complaining to the owner, he doesn't care!!
