GOLDEN BROWN OMOTESANDO

The burgers were big and juicy. They were also super messy which is always a good marker for a delicious burger. They only had counter seating available which was fine because the seating was comfortable. The food came out quick and it was nice and hot. I would recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a good meal.

The burgers are juicy and cooked to perfection and the brioche buns are perfectly soft. Fries are a bit on the salty side but great otherwise. A bit pricey but as expected from this area. If you are hungry and in need of a quick filler I’d recommend visiting!

Visited on 24 November 2024, 1415. The shop only offered bar seats. The fish burgers are quite good and their fries were average. Can skip the onion rings because it wasn’t impressive.

Incredibly delicious burgers that rival the famous burger joints in the US West(In-n-Out)and East(shake shack). The texture of the first bite of the burger is amazing, indescribable... I recommend trying it in person to experience it!

So it’s kinda expensive (1200-2200 range of price for the burger + fries/salad) but really good. It’s is good without be filled with too much fat. I recommend this place !

Golden Brown's classic burger is probably one of best burgers that I have ever had. Coming from an American, that is saying something. Super juicy, well seasoned, and great sauce. Do not substitute anything and get the classic double with a beer. You will not regret it. 10/10

I chose the avocado cheese and bacon burger with a topping of garlic chips and I would highly recommend this combination!! The bread was delicious with a perfect consistency. The fries were okay, nothing special, but the onion rings were super nice and thick.

I'll be honest with you... I was here because this was the only restaurant in Omotesando Hills open/not fully booked during post-lunch hours... And... I was moments from fainting due to a low blood sugar episode. SO, thanks to Golden Brown for saving me from passing out :D The food, though... It's... Serviceable? The old-school American burger joint theme is on point, felt New York-like in some areas. The staff are more casual in both service and dress. TERIYAKI EGG BURGER: Very... Salty...! But not greasy! Loooots of teriyaki sauce that'll make you grateful for the wax paper holding it together-- gets to be a pretty messy meal. Aside from the seasoning, the patty is on the softer, chewier side, not as crispy as I like. Veggies and fries are ok. Bun is nice and fluffy. It's probably better that the latter two are neutral in flavor to balance out the sheer amount of sauce. I know it's supposedly a gourmet burger, AND in Omotesando Hills, but still pricey for what you get!

So this was another unexpected find We were out in Harajuku shopping and we all got hungry.I used Yelp to find a spot, but finding the actual spot was hard. We get there and there is a line so we look for another restaurant. Low and behold there is a burger joint next door and a table is opening up. We got burger and dogs and the definitely hit the spot. This is a awesome place to grab a quick bite. I mean that, they are fast. I was a fan of their rum and coke, but the food was on point.

I used to love this place. always a good burger. but all of a sudden they seemed a little less hospitable: I ordered a coca-cola, they brought me a coke-zero (obviously not the same thing). I point this out and ask if they have an actual coca-cola. they say no. then they proceed to bring the guy sitting behind me a real coca-cola. Come on guys.

Tokyo has upped their burger game over the past few years. Golden Brown was one of the first "gourmet burger" spots in town and remains one of the best. It has the right mix of beef bun and toppings. Nothing super fancy but just done right. Be forewarned if you are an American, their "bacon" on the bacon cheeseburger is the uncured ham style bacon like you find in Europe as well. So it's not going to be the cured thin strip of bacon you're used to. No trip to Tokyo is complete without a stop at Golden Brown. It's on top floor of the Omotesando Hills shopping mall. Not a lot of seating so there can be a wait during busy hours.

Went for lunch on the weekend and didn't have to wait too long. It's a pretty small restaurant so if you go during peak hours you'll probably have to wait a bit. Place has a cool, American diner feel to it. I had the bacon cheeseburger which comes with fries. It was a really nice burger with a soft, fresh bun and a good amount of condiments, lettuce etc. My friend got the onion rings and we split them. If you only listen to one thing about my review let it be this: get the onion rings. They were amazing! Onion rings aren't as common in Japan and these were just perfect. Drinks were a bit pricy at around 440 yen for a small bottle of Coke so I'd skip that and just get water. I definitely want to go back to try the chili cheeseburger which they didn't have on the lunch menu.

Horrible staff and horrible service. Hamburgers are expensive too. Since there are many great hamburger shops around the area, would strongly recommend other places. Would give zero stars if I could.

Let me start by saying you should only go to this place if you're willing to wait for delicious food. If you're in a rush, you may want to try another place. In my opinion it is absolutely worth the wait. I have been here on two separate occasions and was very happy to see the quality has remained the same. The burgers are juicy and flavorful. The bread is hot and delicious. All the other ingredients give you the impression that they make sure they buy quality. It's in a swanky mall and so prices are a bit higher than other places, but I feel everything (the wait and the price) are worth it. Highly recommend if you like burgers.

This is the first encounter with negative customer service I have ever encountered in Japan. The joint allowed smoking despite it being a nice mall with DESIGNATED smoking areas. The staff and cooks made us feel unwelcomed as we asked if they could request a stop to the smoking. I asked if we could just pay for the coke and leave as a sign of protest but the waiter mentioned the patties were already cooking. I proceeded to ask if we could get the check and pay in full and I got billed twice. I refused to pay the second bill and got funny looks before they realized they were trying to double charge. I would recommend avoiding this place, if not because they allowed smoking, then for the garbage treatment of customers. There were kids in the restaurant subject to the smoke too.

What else is there to say? Just really, really good burgers. I can't wait to come back here and have another one. Easily rivals burgers I've had in the states.

I had a really good burger and french fries here. American style patties, rather than Japanese style that are more like little meatloaves, nice crisp lettuce, onion, chopped tomatoes, and a good soft bun with sesame seeds. Be warned though that it came with lots of mayo and there was another taste that I couldn't place (some kind of sauce or seasoning- I'll update when I figure it out). Fries were fresh, hot and cooked perfectly- McDonalds style. My husband had the steak and fries which also looked good and came with a dark green side salad. Sorry, I completely forgot to take a pic of my food! It's a pretty small restaurant with a few small booths, a few small tables along a bench, and counter seating. We had no problem getting a seat on a Friday night though. And we will definitely go back. It was the best burger I've had in Tokyo.

Small cosy place with nice booths in Ometosando Hills. We had burgers and they were very good, very tasty. Service was quick and friendly. Will come again!
