We visited this restaurant because we were able to use our credits from The Fork, and we are so glad we decided to do so! First, the view from the terrace was incredible and our table got to overlook this fabulous view for the entire meal. Next, the service was fine dining quality! Finally, the food was so delicious. We got a lot more food than we normally would have because of the credits, and I’m so glad we were able to try a variety! I highly recommend everything we ordered, but especially the sea bass - those truffle mashed potatoes were the best thing I’ve ever eaten!!

We saw Golden Catch the first time we walked around WoW and ate at Root & Vine next door to it. We wanted to come back for the sunset view of the city. There are plenty of tables indoor and outdoor with a spectacular view of the city and Ponte Luiz. The server offered the excellent balinhos de bacalhau (fish cakes) as an alternative to bread and olives. We saw many raving reviews for sea bass served with truffle oil mashed potatoes, which we must echo the voices. We also ordered a rump steak. So tender and no need for any sauce. For desserts we ordered a Golden Cup, which was one of the best sundae ice cream we ever had and a curd cheese cake, served with pumpkin jam and mandarine sorbet. Very happy with this meal indeed!

I generally avoid tourist areas, but this area is interesting with FAR fewer crowds then on the other side of the river. The fish and chips was fresh, not salted cod. We enjoyed it!

Rather upscale touristic place. It's a great place to eat fish in the city, though. The view is fantastic, too. Try the sparkling sangria, it's phenomenal. Service could be better, though. Maybe we were just unlucky, but we had to remind our service staff regularly of missing sides, drinks, etc. A bit on the expensive side by Porto standards, but still very affordable from a tourist point of view.

What a great spot! We were looking for a refuge from the rain and a bite to eat before going wine tasting and this was perfect. We ordered the prix fixe lunch menu which was 3 courses for around 20€… excellent and so worth it! Would recommend this location even if you don’t want to do the wine museums. There is a beautiful view of Porto from the terrace.

We had a last minute recommendation to grab dinner at Golden Catch. I was worried that we couldn’t get a table. 7:30pm was booked, so I choose an 8pm reservation. We got there early, and found that it was largely empty. We were sat immediately. Our server was fantastically friendly, joking with our distracted son. We ordered the couvert - dinner roll was a hit, the cornbread not so much, olives and butter compound were great. I ordered the sea bass, tasty but small, that sat on mashed potatoes, which was a favorite for me and my wife. My wife ordered the rump (beef) medium rare. Like most steak lovers, we can be particular. The beef wasn’t seared much, not enough seasoning, a little too chewy. With some salt and pepper brought to the table, I though it was a decent steak. My wife didn’t like it. My son ordered the spaghetti from the kids menu. He LOVED it, and declared it to be his 2nd most favorite meal ever.

We had a wonderful experience at WOW—delicious seafood, outstanding service, and incredibly comfortable seating that was perfect for our family of four. Friends recommended we visit WOW, so we made the journey across the bridge from Porto, stroller in tow. With no specific restaurant in mind, I was drawn to the inviting turquoise ambiance at Roots and Vines. Traveling with a toddler and a baby, we prioritized comfortable and private seating over everything else, and the staff was more than accommodating, giving us a table we loved despite not having a reservation. It happened to be their shellfish festival, so we chose from the special menu. The seafood was exceptionally fresh and delicious. I started with the razor clam appetizer and then had the prawn curry. I hadn’t expected much from a “curry” in a western setting, but it was surprisingly flavorful and even had a nice spice to it! Overall, the meal and experience were fantastic. The only small downside was the bathroom. The white marble floors quickly became dirty when wet, which seemed out of place in such an otherwise luxurious setting. Regular cleaning would definitely help maintain the high standard of the restaurant.

This was a really nice restaurant to have a birthday dinner for 13 people. The service was kind and they were able to make as vegan options even though there was nothing on the menu. Vegan tofu fish and chips was very good. Atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was very clean and spacious.
