Golden Circle Apartments

Solid place to stay, I like the full kitchen in the rooms and the beds were comfortable. Modern inside and good parking. They did have more rules than any other place I've ever stayed at though.. such as no shoes, and very strict on taking out your own trash (and recycle). The lock on the door took 4 of us a few minutes to actually lock.. it had to be "jimmied" about a million times before it locked. There were some pretty big spiders I had to kill inside the entry way and 1 in the actual room. And the sink was very difficult to use if washing your face or related because it had a small shelf directly above the sink so if you were washing your face or putting your head down, water got everywhere because of that poorly designed shelf. Also the shower head holder was broken so you had to hold the shower head while you were using it, which made lathering soap on your hair/body extremely difficult. Since the shower had no lip on the ground, the water got everywhere as well (seems to be an Icelandic architecture thing though). Not the best experience, but again it wasn't horrible and a solid place to pick with the price.

Great relaxing atmosphere. The decor was nice and simple. A group of six of us explored Iceland and this setup was the best out of the 5 spots we visited. Plenty to experience around the corner from this location. Especially the spa. Their food was exquisite.

I always choose hotels but waited so long nothing was available. With only one apartment left I took a chance here. Best decision. Perfect location, extremely comfortable and clean, excellent value. The "front desk" is just a phone call away and more than helpful and accommodating. I can't recommend highly enough. My twin 11 year old girls loved it as did my wife and I. After a long day of driving and activities, it felt like I was returning HOME each night. This place is absolutely ideal and perfect.

Great little apartment. Good view of the lake and mountains. Make sure you get a second floor apartment for the view and it has a cooker, oven and a microwave. 5 stars as was cheap, clean and warm. It has the hottest water known to man!!

A home away from home! Very clean inside. Very good wifi. Loved the spaciousness. didn't like the surprise to carry my suitcases up a flight of stairs but the building exterior is worse than the interior.

Great place to stay. Wonderful location. Very comfortable & clean. Beautiful view with nice walks close by. Kitchen an asset. Perfect for our 2 night stay with our young adult children.Easy to find. Decent price. Love Iceland!

We did a 10 day self-drive around Iceland and Golden Circle Apartment was our accommodation on the 8th day of our holiday. I loved the cozy feel of the apartment with a living room and L shaped couch. The well equipped kitchen came in handy for us to cook our dinner as the location was rather remote. Last but not least, the views from our unit was fabulous, facing the lake and behind us the snowy mountains. The only inconvenience I found was having to lug up suitcases to the first floor. If you’re travelling with heavy luggage, better to book an apartment at the ground floor.

Spacious condo at great price for short stay. Good location for visiting Golden circle but you do need a car. No shampoo or body soap but there is a hair dryer and all the kitchen utensils.
