Golden Crown Iglu

Everything about this unique hotel is out of this world and the glass igloos are one of a kind. Where else can you rest in bed and enjoy the Arctic sky? The staff are all friendly and welcoming. The dining room is wonderful. Everyone seems to prefer to eat dinner under the glass ceiling on the second floor, but I found the first floor with the fire to be super cozy. The food is really 5*, and they altered the tasting menu for me on the second night so I could enjoy a completely different menu. It is about 15 minutes to the town center so you will have to take a taxi to your activities, but it is worth it to stay here. And there is snowshoeing right at the hotel. We had such a wonderful, memorable, stay and I’d love to return.

The comfortable glass house was a surprise to me. You can lie on the bed and enjoy the changing northern lights in the night sky. It is really great and beautiful. The design of the house is very warm, and a hardcover chocolate gift box is provided for guests.

We arrived at check in and check in was swift. A little surprised they don’t help you with your bags and just point to your room for you. This is a pretty easy amenity to offer at this price. The room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the warming hut for some marshmallows the first evening. We did eat one meal at the restaurant but it wasn’t for us. We ate the next night in Levi and took an Uber for about 25 euro each way. They don’t shut off the lights on the property until 9pm and this was a little disappointing. We were lucky enough to have the northern lights both nights, but you can’t see them with all the lights on at the property. Wish they could limit some of these.

Such an amazing place. We got to experience the northern lights and exceptional service from the staff. The igloo was fully equipped and over expectations.|High recommendation to the Golden Crown. Loved it!|Breakfast was based on local produce, next time must have dinner.

Stayed here with my wife as part of a week-long trip to Finland in February 2025. We were here for 3 days as part of the "relaxing" part of the trip, as opposed to the first part of the trip which was in Helsinki and more of the "get up and go" mentality. ||Levin Iglut was beautiful, relaxing, classy, and fulfilled everything we expected and hoped for. We stayed in one of the larger igloos. Upon arrival and throughout the stay, all staff was polite and helpful. The food at Utsu was delicious and well-prepared, with a wine pairing to go along with dinner. ||We spent most of the time in our Igloo or on the premises, since a cab ride to the City Center/Mountain was about 35-40 Euros. We bought a few groceries and enjoyed using the small kitchen in the Igloo. Just be aware that, if you do stay here, it is quote remote and you will need transportation to get anywhere else you would like to visit in the Levi area. ||A nice, relaxing time here.

Levin Iglut Igloos provided a fun experience. They are understandably small, but they do the job. Rooms are glass enclosed to permit star and Northern Lights gazing while in bed! Per fact for a few nights. Main reception building always has a roaring fire and is a nice place to have a cocktail or breakfast. There is a limited menu dinner restaurant (but we opted to dine in the town of Levi about 15 minutes away).

My wife and I spent an unvorgettable night in and igloo with a Jacuzzi for her Birthday! We had a wonderful meal at the UTSU Restaurant. Another Highlight was watching the magnificent Northern Lights from our Bed. |Thank you for the wonderful time.

The igloos are very cool, especially if you are lucky enough to see the Northern Lights. If not they are still nice to hang out in.||The location is close enough to the ski fields and town that you will be bothered by light pollution, but not close enough to be convenient, they do provide any shuttle bus. A taxi can cost up to 30 Euro each way - another cost each day on top of the crazy high cost of the igloo.||Staff are hit and miss, some in the restaurant are terrible and there are new faces every day. Even the better permanent staff don't bother to remember your name or igloo number even if you stay a while (don't expect any special treatment for a special occasion other than a free chocolate).||Breakfast is really good but we did not enjoy the dinner menu, and it changes back to the same food after 2 days.
