Always a vibe at this spot! The ambiance remains effortlessly charming, with sweeping panoramic views over Eastern Kampala—ideal for a laid-back weekend brunch. The buffet is generous, though admittedly on the pricier side (and oddly, water isn’t included). One quirky detail: entry to the buffet requires a sticky paper wristband—a detail that felt a bit too casual for such an elegant setting. On the other hand the place has a professional team of waiters... Raymond, Mazeruka et al, were great! The real standout, however, is the resident clown—an absolute delight! Playful, spontaneous, and completely in tune with the kids, who clearly adore him. We found ourselves smiling at the sound of their cheerful banter drifting up from the play area a couple of floors below. A wonderful spot to relax and enjoy quality family time.

Great views, good food, very good service overall. I ordered my steak fillet medium cooked and it came rare but that is not a deal breaker for me. They have a great selection on their menu, decent parking space, and a playground for kids!

Golden Hill Restaurant and Lounge is a fantastic spot with great vibes and stunning views! The scenery adds an extra charm to the experience, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy good food and drinks. The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, I was surprised to find that the place closes so early—by 3 PM! This was a bit of a disappointment, especially since it’s such a great spot to unwind. They could definitely take some inspiration from Kenya, where lounges and restaurants keep the energy alive well into the night. If they extended their hours, this place would easily become the ultimate destination for both day and night experiences. Still, it’s worth a visit for the amazing views and atmosphere while it’s open.

Don’t come here expecting good service. The waitress was sluggish and inattentive (mind you apart from my 2 friends and I, there were only just 2 other people). We ordered 3 mojitos (with alcohol) she brought us virgin mojitos and when we asked she apologised for the mistake but when it came time for the bill, she tried to charge us for the shots added to make it alcoholic🙄 The only saving grace about this place is the great setting. The food was also alright.

If you want the view, it’s got that. But the food is terrible!!! I went there with my husband, we had lasagna and chicken Alfredo. We had only three to four bites of the food, because it was overwhelmingly terrible. I hope their chef does better with the food. Anyways if you’re a foreigner looking for the best food on tankhill road. You should try MOJJO restaurant…it has the best food we’ve ever had. Their food beats every restaurant you’ve ever known of in Kampala!!!

A nice restaurant with a great view of Kampala. The restaurant is spread over three floors, so there is plenty of seating for everyone. The food is delicious, and there is a large selection of tequilas. There is a large private parking lot. And they serve Ethiopian dishes as well.

Beautiful place..the aesthetics are good ..loved the art. The food was great I'd one of my best pizzas from there that i had to try two differentkinds of pizza. The night views are lovely too . However the service was a little slow i recommend they could add more staff because sometimes your order is forgotten or you've to keep reminding them about your order. I ordered for my coffee three times to finally get one almost an hour later.

Lovely view and atmosphere. Great location. I had the meze platter and it was really tasty. I also had a mint lemonade, which was good but sadly came with a plastic straw. If the owner is reading this, please only give straws if a customer asks, and help reduce plastic waste.
