Golden Horseshoe Barbecue

While this texas bbq joint didnt completely corral me, I get why lots of people lineup for and love it. The Good: Pork ribs were fall off the bone tender and tasty. The brisket had a good smoke. The cornbread had the perfect melted butter on top that soaked its crumbliness well. The key lime pie was tasty tarty and crusty. The mustard sauce they had on the table was amazing. The Meh: The sausage was a bit tough. The pork belly burnt ends were a bit too fatty. The side beans and corn were ok. The lines are long, but it serves quicker than how it looks. Most seating is counter, though there are some booths. Prices are what prices are these days. Overall, a good spot if you want good bbq.

Overall food quality is great As others have said, they make solid sides. The meats: it is on its way to being pretty good. I found the seasoning to be a bit heavy and the tender/juiciness of the brisket, pulled pork, ribs needing some improvement. Flavor wise I can taste a bit of smokiness but I was hoping for more. To each there own but I like heavier smoky taste. Their BBQ sauce makes up for a lot of the missing points and balances out things nicely. The staff are super friendly and love their BBQ. They explained how they are continuously tweaking and improving and I am looking forward to return and try it again!

I’m not exaggerating when I say this might be some of the best BBQ in Toronto. We ordered the brisket, pork ribs, mac & cheese, Texas chili, and banana pudding, and not a single bite disappointed. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and you can taste the love in everything they make. If you’re anywhere near Dupont, go. Your stomach will thank you.

what a great team of people working there! I took my two year-old daughter and a friend there for lunch today and not only was the barbecue. Some of the best I ever had in my life. I had a great experience with Service also. very accommodating and is even offered a tour of the barbeque pit. The owner came by everyone’s tables to see how their meal was, which I really appreciated. The brisket was by far the star of the show, but I do have to say the hidden gem was the turkey and the ribs. They were by far the best barbeque turkey and ribs I have ever had in my life also, the cheddar biscuit was phenomenal. highly recommend adding that to the order. thanks again for the wonderful experience your place lived up to the hype.

Golden Horseshoe BBQ absolutely blew us away. The food was incredible — rich, smoky, perfectly cooked barbecue with sides that were just as impressive. We got lucky and managed to snag the beef ribs before they sold out, and they were unreal: tender, flavorful, and easily some of the best we’ve had in the city. If we had one tiny critique, it’s that the cutlery was plastic. a real fork and knife would’ve made tackling those ribs a bit easier, haha. But honestly, when the food is this good, it barely matters. We’ll definitely be back. I left with a bottle with the yellow bbq sauce.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely incredible BBQ! A group of friends and I came to Golden Horseshoe BBQ after drooling over their Instagram stories — and it did not disappoint! We literally tried every item on the menu, and every single piece of meat was cooked to perfection. Juicy, tender, and packed with flavour. The sides were just as impressive — the chili was hands down the best I’ve ever had, and the mac and cheese was the perfect mix of cheesy and flavourful. The homemade pickles? Unreal. I even begged the owner for the recipe (still waiting, haha!). Every bite was worth the wait, and we’ll happily make the hour-long drive again soon. If you haven’t tried this place yet — you’re missing out!

Had a few takeout orders from this place and everything has been delicious. The brisket and ribs are flavourful. I really like their chicken too. They’ve got a good variety of sides. I haven’t had a chance to try the burnt ends yet since they tend to sell out pretty quickly. It can get pretty busy on weekends, so I’d recommend going on weekdays if you can.

Came here for the first time today after hearing great things and I was pleased to confirm the rumours to be true! We got the mac and cheese, Texas chilli, corn bread, brisket, pork ribs, and the banana pudding. And I don't have one complaint about a single item! Everything was seasoned and smoked perfectly, everything came to our table at the perfect temperature, service was great and friendly, food came out super fast from the moment we ordered, all around just a delightful experience! Definitely recommend, definitely going again!
