Golden Lantern

My work friend recommended this Chinese as where I live there ain't many takeaways that will deliver to me. I have to admit its not the best chinese takeaway I have ever had but the food was still nice. I just found the chow main a bit to wet and the prawn toast needed to be a bit more toasted. I loved the salt and pepper chips! Also, when spending so much on a Chinese we have usually got free prawn crackers... I thought that was the case for all Chinese takeaways 😅 so I will have to make sure I order them next time! I would still order here again. The delivery driver was a nice guy, you should have a option to be able to leave the driver a tip on your website, I would have tipped him but I don't carry cash!

Order stated no Veg, apart from mushrooms (mushroom omelette) received an omelette FULL of onions and peas to boot. After ringing, I got “I don’t know what you want me to do” so the customer service is seriously lacking. Chips were the end of the bag as they were all really small and crispy ends, very few actual chips. More oil than the middle east too. The only bonus was, it came quick and the delivery lady was friendly.

Food was good a little greasy for my taste but not the worst Chow mein I've had. Ladies were very nice service was very good

We have just had a delivery from The Golden Lantern. It is the first time we have tried this takeaway and it was really good! It was delivered really quickly, food was hot and tasted amazing, really generous portion sizes....never seen such a huge spring roll!! Really reasonable prices, definitely recommend 👌

The perfect takeaway for the chain-smoker in your life…if however you don’t smoke, avoid this like the plague as it tasted like an ash-tray. Terrible customer service when we tried to give them this feedback. Looked grim when it arrived, tasted worse. Binned the whole thing and ordered from somewhere else

Always stuck by this place but after a raw meal and raw veg meal and having the audacity to complain I won’t be ordering again. They apologised and asked me to return their the food which was ready to be exchanged and duly wrapped they then called to say sorry it wouldn’t be swapped?. No explanation just an apology from the polite person to be fair on the phone. Very strange , a lost customer for not eating and exchanging their initially admitted inadequacies. People wonder why others go further afield when being local for chinese. Shame
