Golden Milos Beach

Yes, it’s a bit away from the main port/city, but I enjoyed coming back to our quiet little beach area after a busy day. We rented ATVs from the port to use during our stay, so it was easier to move around. I enjoyed the breakfasts. I thought there was a good variety to find something to enjoy. The beach out front is 50€ BUT be sure to ask the front desk for the beach towel, I think they use those to signify that you are a hotel guest so 2 chairs and an umbrella was 20€ for us. The rooms are basic, clean, but dated, but the rooms were huge which was a nice change from the typical euro rooms I’ve experienced. We had a nice balcony that had a view of the ocean. I enjoyed the pool too! We went there almost every day after beaches and boat tours. It was nice to relax there at the end of the day without getting sandy. It reminded me of a sleepy beach motel, so would recommend if you’re looking for something away from the hustle and bustle of the port area and have your own mode of transportation. It’s about 20€ one way to the port.

Very disappointing stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was good and the pool was nice. However, there was no bar available after 7pm, very limited offer of snacks available in the day. Some of the staff were pleasant but some were disinterested and unhelpful. On our arrival the fridge and air conditioning in the room weren’t working. They fixed both but no apology. The beach sun beds shown on the website are charged at 20 euros a day. There is nothing at Provata save the beach and one taverna. Thank goodness the staff there were so friendly and accommodating. Definitely not a place to stay without a car. This was the fourth place we stayed on our Greek holiday. It was over twice as expensive as the other hotels and less than half as hospitable.

I really loved this place. Great service, nice people running the place. It was our anniversary and they gave us a free massage to each one of us as a gift! Great detail! The beach here is gorgeous, super calm and relaxing. The pool is nice, but it would be better if they put it next to the beach as it’s on the other side of the building, so not as used as it could be. Our room was great, simple but with everything we needed and great view to the ocean. It’s 12 min drive from town, so it’s a bit further from staying in town, so you do need a car or transport of your own to stay here, but for us it was perfect. For dinner there is a restaurant next door which is good, and otherwise just a quick drive to town.

Although beach location was excellent, service and room. Quality were the worst. This is a two star hotel with minimal service. Food very moderate and staff is not helpful at all despite smiles. No iron, no enough light in rooms, towels are not clean

Rooms are very big and the view is amazing. The pool area is nice and clean. The staff is kind and smiling but the hotel is probably undergoing a major change in management as the service is very poor (gluten free options for breakfast are not available and room cleaning is very approximate to say the least). This a could be 4 stars hotel with a 2 stars actual quality.

This hotel provides the only sun beds on a beach with little natural shade. Be warned that two sunbeds and an umbrella costs 50€ (as of early July 2024) and this money appears to go straight into the owners pocket, it certainly doesn't seem to be invested in the poor facilities.

Disappointing ….not a 4 star property. Unprofessional reception…..eating and very casual attire while on the job. Lack of information when we checked in. No restaurant when their website is advertised with restaurant. Charge for the beach lounges.|Rooms were clean and young breakfast staff polite….. The manager was rude when she finally spoke with me by asking me to converse in formal Greek! I proceeded to tell her I was born, raised and educated in Australia and my common Greek should be better than her English! I did receive a verbal apology from her but she was not able to address our concern of overpayment and we were told they could allocate whatever star rating they choose.This is not a 4 star hotel the service lacks, no porter to assist with luggage, no restaurant……no where for a drink after 7 pm and a 20minute drive from main port.|We were not advised the wifi, no folder in room, no information that you require a key from reception to work the safe. Also, air con wasn’t working took 3 times before it was repaired/regas.

We loved our visit here. Rooms are basic but have everything you need and the AC unit works great (we were even cold one night because we had it set too low). Everyone is correct in that the location is away from port (12 minute drive) but we wanted that. It was very quiet at the hotel and tons of parking. I would say a car is a must for this place but I would highly recommend a car regardless of where you stay. It cost us about $300 for 5 days and that included gas which is wayyyy cheaper than taxis and we explored almost the whole island beside the west. We got fresh sheets each day. Breakfast was more basic but we still felt full afterwards (they used real eggs which we loved as the past hotels had used powder). Overall get a car, plan to explore the island and use this hotel as a home base not as a resort and you’ll love the experience. If you plan to treat this like a resort go somewhere else.
