Just spent 4 nights at GN. We got upgraded from a court yard view to a river view which was great. This room had laminate flooring and not nasty old carpet. The bathroom had a nice walk in shower with glass doors. Only concern there was that a grab bar should be installed. Check in was easy and the staff is very friendly throughout the casino. There was lots of cleaning going on, even the entryway palms were getting pruned back. Only disappointment was that the river view bar was closed for remodel and will be closed for a few months. This is our Laughlin go to place.

I've been coming to this casino infrequently for the last year. This will be the last time I stay here. I'm almost at Chairman level on my players card. I lost $4700 playing blackjack last December. About 5 weeks ago I lost about $3300 in one slot machine session lasting about a hour on a $3 bet. I also played Dragon Link @ $5/spin, $2.50/spin and $3/spin. I put around 4000 points on my card in 4 hours ($3/point). Fast forward to about 5 weeks later and someone here at this location is playing around with my marketing offers now and took the crappy $10 Freeplay offers off of my account after the $3300 loss and they removed my weekly gifts or weekly $20 Freeplay option. I also don't see the invitations to the slot tournaments anymore. After losing piles of cash you'd think the Casino would want my business. Right now I have a Premier players card and could easily achieve Chairman since I'm only 7000 points away. Now that I see how cheap the casino is after my latest big loss I'm not going to gamble here anymore. It's unfortunate because they lost a solid customer. The Casino Hosts will drop you too when they realize you're not gonna dump $3000+ everytime you're checked in. Greed at its finest! Bah humbug!

I’d advise that you skip Golden Nugget in Laughlin. It’s old and nasty, slowly getting updated, but it fails on every point. The front desk lied to me saying they didn’t know if the room we were getting had been renovated; it hadn’t and she of course knew that. The elevator to the room is as disgusting as any flop house that rents rooms by the hour; it smelled of mold and asbestos. It still has carpet from the 60s; you can feel that it’s damp from the mildew and scuz. The rooms are not great but the bed was nice. The AC didn’t work well and it made a crazy noise. There wasn’t a single thing we could plug a phone into; the alarm clock had the USB connection but the clock actually didn’t work all. They seriously had a non working alarm clock in the room. The USB ports on the wall sconces were not hooked up to electricity of something because they didn’t work either. The Golden Nugget failed on every single point. The whole hotel stinks. The Casino smells like broken dreams, spilt beer and cigarettes. The Claim Jumper restaurant was nasty. For dinner I made the mistake of getting a French dip; (inviting tragedy I know) no taste other than salt. I actually don’t know why I try to order that anywhere; it’s typically pretty bad. And then like a dope I went back down there for breakfast, a new crew I figured “who can screw up breakfast?” Well… fool me twice shame on me so I’ll own that. Nothing good here, so I say- Skip the Nugget

I called and booked directly from the hotel because I wanted to secure a River view room. So I paid full price. (No view of the River) From the time of are arrival we had issues. After check in we explored the hotel decided to go to Salt Grass Steak house. It was closed due to a water issue. So after eating a horrible meal off site. We come back to the room to shower and brush teeth. And no water. I had to use my own hotspot. The guest WiFi did not work and was very unsecured. Waking up early still no water. The Krispy Cream donuts I brought the day before had been attacked by ants over night and I did not know that after eating some of them. We properly left the room and I explained all my issues and concerns upon checkout and I was told have a good day there is nothing I can do. Here’s your deposit back! I had less amenities here than at my house. I will never stay here again.

The room was dated back to the 80's. The only thing good about the room is your dogs can stay there for a fee of ninety dollars 4 -2 dogs. You can't take your dogs anywhere in the casino. Our bed had a big dip in it from people sleeping on the mattress. The air conditioner stopped working. We ordered breakfast and the hash brown potatoes were soggy and not cooked enough and the eggs were over easy, but the whites were not cooked. This was at the claim jumper cafe. The only thing cool about the casino was the giant gold nugget. The red felt under the nugget needs to be updated with a nice blue felt. The casino smelt like cigarette smoke even in the room. When I made my reservation, the reservationists could have been better about explaining to me the difference in the pet rooms about the patios. I would have preferred a room with a patio cuz you can open the door and go outside with your pets. Reservationist needs to upsell.

After this weekend, The Golden Nugget Laughlin will always be our #1 choice when booking. Their employees are so amazing!!! I had left my wallet and was unable to check in, but Dawn came to our rescue and handled it for us. After a few hours of dealing with our 3rd party booking site, Dawn had us all checked in. I am so grateful for all her hard work, patience and help. Also, Jacob the hotels driver was the coolest guy ever. He saw us struggling with Uber and offered to give us a ride. Not only that, he came back to pick us up from our evening. Such a great guy...thanks Dawn and Jacob for making our stay with the GN so great and memorable. We look forward to coming back soon!!!

This property is very dated. I believe they had some newly remodeled rooms but we were not in one. The bed was comfortable and the shower had hot water but it was really worn. Also smokey, even in the restaurants which wasn’t ideal. Would love to see Laughlin come back to good old days. Hopefully the remodeling will help.

When we arrived, everything seemed fine — until we went down to the steakhouse for dinner. It was closed for the rest of the day due to a main water leak. Unfortunately, every restaurant on site was closed as well, meaning we had to leave the property to find food right after checking in. A few hours later, we came back ready for a hot shower and some rest… but there was still no hot water. Calling the front desk took several tries before someone finally answered. I was told the water issue “wasn’t their fault,” and when I asked to check out for a refund, I was informed that the manager — the only one authorized to process refunds — had already gone home for the night. We paid extra for a river view room, yet there was no river view at all (see attached photo). By morning, the situation somehow got worse. We woke up to the smell of sewage and still had no working toilets. As we packed up to leave, one of us grabbed a donut we’d saved for breakfast — only to find it covered in ants. Photo attached. We reported everything upon checkout, received a quick “sorry,” and were still charged in full. At this point, we were just relieved to leave. Golden Nugget Laughlin may have its charm for others, but for us, this stay was anything but golden.

Yelp
Its not Vegas, its Laughlin, so jot that down before you complain. For the PRICE, everything was great. I love the laid back atmosphere, and all of the employees who were nice, and friendly. Is this Vegas? NO. I dont hold this to Vegas standards. It is what it is, and it was fine. My only complaint, it facing east, the Sun lit up our room at 6am even with the heavy curtains on the window. They should really fix that, and with blackout shades, my trip would have been perfect. Most def will stay again.

Yelp
Not off to a good start. Arrived over 2 hours ago and we are changing rooms. No heat. The room is 58 degrees! Great if it was summer but we are almost in winter! They had technician come up but it's going to be another hour to fix the heat, provided it is indeed the coils. Not to mention the light fixture. We are tired and hungry and this is not a great start to our little adventure. Waiting in line AGAIN to get a new room. Ugh. Will update! This is nothing like the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas!

Yelp
This place is worn out. This is the condition of the room. I took no pictures. The mattress was so worn that there was a fold on the center of the bed. The first 12 inches off the side was completely unusable. The curtains were a foot longer than the window, and the excess just laying on the floor. The carpet was filthy. The bathroom had a sewage backup into our sink on the last night. Raw sewage filled the sink bowl and left its mark. The toilet wobbled horribly as the wax ring was non existent and nuts were loose. The air conditioner worked, but the evaporator fan blade was rubbing against the housing and the whole mess was had several different noises. The room is so worn, I could write a paragraph about how far gone and maintenence has put zero effort in. If you want a horse book, this is the absolute worst one I've ever seen. No sound and the screens are so small you have to stand to see them. The teller wouldn't take my bet because he was counting out and said the other fella went to the bathroom. I stood by as several races went off. The absent employee was also in charge of their " live" keno, so anyone who actually wanted to play was SOL. There were several nice folks, like the check in staff, but overall, very understaffed and most have lost their enthusiasm for their jobs long ago. This place is a worn out dump. The raw sewage in the sink should be enough to make you pass this place that doesn't give a lick about you and your health, no matter how cheap the rooms are.

Yelp
The Golden Nugget Hotel was a nice place. The room was clean and big. We did have a view of the river and pool area. The staff was friendly and like the fact that the hotel itself was non-smoking. The price was reasonable for what you would find along the river walk. They had two restaurants on the campus to choose from and they were depart from the casino floor and provided outdoor seating which was nice.

Yelp
If you get the right room then it's worth it, but for the same price you can get a better room at the Edgewater, Golden Nugget needs a Golden makeover, friendly service, but to get them stars you gotta update to compete with the other casino's. Also it was odd that the bar was closed on a Saturday night and even tho the casino and the bar advertised the UFC fight, and asked like 10 different people in different sections including the main desk, to change at least one TV to the fight, we had to go sit in our room to watch the UFC fight. The WiFi is terrible, couldn't even use it. Not sure I would stay here again unless there's not room available at the Edgewater. Best part of the Golden Nugget is the Saltgrass Steak house, great food!!

Yelp
Housekeeping never came. The phone in the room does not work. You call their number from your cell and they only answer until 5pm so it just hangs up on you. There's no place where a number for housekeeping is listed. There's air in our room does not work. The shower does not get hot. The towels are like sandpaper and the sheets are just as rough. Supposed to be nonsmoking rooms but two rooms down is clearly chain smoking. There's no way all the hotel people I seen walk by don't notice it. It's like a cloud in the hall. Not worth $90 a night

Yelp
THEY DON'T HONOR RESERVATIONS!!! I made 2 reservations in February as I had a concert of go to in September. I show up and am told I have no reservations as I hadn't responded to their email. What Email?? I have a receipt showing said payment and reservation. Just lost my business and online else I can talk out of going. Guess I didn't pay enough for my rooms!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed there on Saturday 23rd of Nov. I thought the place was a high class casino. Unfortunately, very disappointed. The plumbing was clogged with human hair. It's like it was never cleaned out. You could smell sewage evidently. They had a sewage brake and the one elevator that was the closest to our room was down. So many people complaining, We had to walk a long distance down the hall to get to the elevator and then walk back the other way when we reached our floor I don't think we will be back again..

Yelp
The family and I spent two nights at the Golden Nugget Laughlin. It was my first time visiting Laughlin in about twenty years. We've stayed numerous times at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas. Obviously Laughlin does not have the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas. The crowd is much, much older. We arrived on Friday around 3 p.m. Parked in the free self parking structure. It was very easy to find parking. FYI-Only one of the four elevators in the parking structure is working so you'll probably be waiting a while. Believe me, nothing moves fast in Laughlin. Checking in was quick and easy. Sasha did a great job and was very friendly. Room 225 in the east wing of the hotel was to be our home for the next few days. It is a river view room with two queen beds. The view actually looks out at the river and hotel pool. Unlike the Las Vegas location this property only has four floors. Our room was very clean but dated like the rest of the property. I think Mr. Fertitta needs to dump some serious cash into the place. The beds were comfy. Our room had a desk, Kerug coffee maker and a fridge. The bathroom was large. It took a good three to five minutes to get hot water and the water pressure was terrible and there wasn't any soap for the shower. The casino floor is small and is easy to navigate. There are three bars, three restaurants and a coffee bar on the property. The restaurants are: Claim Jumper Bubba Gump Saltgrass Steakhouse We tried all three and they were good. All of them part of the Landry's chain. The bars were very quiet and all of them had gamin machines. There weren't any lounges to just chill. There is a Rush Lounge but it is NOTHING like the one at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Golden Nugget Laughlin.

Yelp
I'm saddened to post a poor review for this hotel and casino. What was once a clean welcoming place with everything you needed under the sun is now a dark and damp pit that is soon to close if things don't change. We arrived at the GN Sunday and immediately went to the pool to cool off. The pool water was so hot. I know Laughlin is hot. I know the jacuzzi should be hot. I know the pool may be warm because of the heat wave, but I'm talking burning hot. Hot bath, sauna, dehydrating hot. My family and I couldn't enjoy our time at the pool, nor could any else who entered the soupy water. The bathroom room had mold spots in the ceiling. The elevator to our tower stopped working the first day we arrived and the front desk confirmed it would be down for a few days. They allowed us to access the freight elevator, which by the way is WAY nicer than the regular elevator. They did close it nightly, so a nice hot walk up the stairs with ugly carpeting was required. How does the parking garage have four elevators while the towers only have one elevator for guests?? Ice machines and soda machines were all out of order on the second and third floors. Throw up near the third floor soda machine. They wouldn't move our room due to these inconveniences saying they were all booked. The casino and hotel appeared dead! I was embarrassed during this trip, as I hyped the hotel to many friends who I encouraged to book here over another hotel & casino a few of our other friends were staying at. The restaurants are still decent. Water taxi, though not associated with the hotel, was also bad; loads and loads and loads and loads and loads of gnats and mosquitoes on the dock. Keep your family at the top or inside until the water taxi comes by unless you want these things all over you. Casino was dead. Craps table was usually closed, workers don't look happy. Black jack was the only real table consistently busy during our trip. Sad to say, the only reason I'd return here is to eat at claim jumper or bubba gumps. This isn't a Golden Nugget, it's a straight goose egg!

Yelp
I came here on June 14-15 and had a great time. I chose this hotel because they are pet friendly. We brought our two year old dachshund to Laughlin to experience the river and be outside. We checked in very fast, about 15 minutes and was given then key. We were in the first floor and our patio door led to the outside grassy area where you can walk you dog. We loved it. We ate at Bubba Gump the first night and the second night at Saltgrass. We loved the dining options and when we were done with dinner we headed over the bar overlooking the river to play keno and have drinks. We enjoyed our time here and were so happy we could bring our dog. Will be coming back. Service was awesome.

Yelp
I woke up to bathtub backed up, apparently it was from the room next-door.. I asked if I could take a shower in another room they told me no that there was no rooms available even though I could see all the empty rooms being cleaned around us. This happened the day we were checking out and I had an event that afternoon but they said I could only shower in my room regardless of what was in the tub. All they did was take off my resort fees. I had to go find somewhere else to get ready and shower. Absolutely ridiculous I get a hotel for the shower. I have tried reaching out, but no managers have called me back . I highly recommend getting an Airbnb instead.

Alicia G.

Yelp
Honestly this place is rough to say the least. The customer service is awful. It takes the people here an hour to do anything. I was checking out and they put me on hole for 15 minutes and we decided to just go downstairs and wait in the line that must have been really long with such a long hold. There was no line at all when we got to the lobby. The rooms are so old and in need of some type of upgrades. The room was dirty, blood on the sheets, filthy bathroom, old food on the floors. To top It off the elevators were broken.

Beverly R.

Yelp
Some of the employees were wonderful and others seemed to be miserable. The rooms at a cheap motel are in better condition than the one we stayed in. The 2 most obvious were that every time you sat on the toilet. It sank into the floor and wobbled. And the mattress was sunken in at the edge and drooped down so you couldn't use at least 5" of the bed. Never staying here even if they offered it to me for free!!

Yelp
This place has gone WAY downhill. We've been coming here for over 15 years now - usually about 3 to 4x a year, one always being in July. (temps are always well over 110°. It was over 125 during this stay - rooms always blew nice & cold). Service was always wonderful. Front desk check in, not an issue. They gave us a room in the west side. This room was clean, however missing the coffee maker, ice bucket, TP, none of the outlets except for the bathroom worked and the room was insanely hot even though ac was on full blast. We had an electrician come up. His device showed everything was working fine. We showed him that clearly somethings wrong, we didn't have any foreign plugs, all standard household - that worked fine in their lobby, and the other hotels we stayed at during our travel. The ac was blowing but not at a level it should be. There was nothing they could do other than reset the breaker. Ok. We left the room for about 3 hrs, came back, still no change except the room being even hotter. It's 9pm now, the room should have cooled a bit. Went to front desk, got moved to another room few doors down. Outlets worked, no big change with the room temp. Had that looked at again, nothing they could do. Went to front desk round 3, nothing they could do. I was denied the request to move away from the west building or to a different floor. Asked for a fan, denied. No manager present. The shower did work, however taking one longer than 3 minutes filled the tub to nearly overflowing. Nothing like trying to get clean and standing in the filthy water. The pool was beyond gross.. Lots of hair, debris, and I don't even want to know what else floating around. It was like warm bath water.. Again, I know, temps are high, most pools won't be that cold. The nugget used to have one of the better pools during the hot months. It wasn't cold, but certainly never this warm. The pool bar was cool. Prices were about the same as if you were ordering from one of the bars inside. Valet was awesome, very fast & efficient. They work off tips, so if you use them, make sure to tip well!! Their club is now called Rush Lounge. Went on a Friday night, it was dead. Saturday night, they had a DJ, but still pretty empty. They do have an awesome bartender, Anthony. He was making all sorts of amazing drinks for us throughout our stay. Great personality & he definitely has a knack for creating unique cocktails. If the review was for Anthony & the Valet guys, that'd be an easy 5 stars. We definitely will not be returning to stay at this hotel on our future trips.

Joe T.

Yelp
This gets a one star only because it doesn't allow for zero stars. Once this was a decent hotel but it's been going downhill for a while now. It's old, dated and dirty. I really noticed it this last time I stayed there. The wall paper at the elevator is streaked and stained. All the wood trim is nicked and with faded paint, as well as exposed wood. No carpet in the elevators. The rooms are dingy and dark. Everything in the room is old and barely functional. The staff all seemed to have a smart ass flippant attitude. There's plenty of other places to stay in Laughlin that are in better shape than this run down place.

Yelp
Had a weekend getaway and chose the Golden Nugget. The price was our driving factor. Room was good size and clean. We enjoyed playing the slots in the evenings and did our best to break even. The hotel was located for an easy drive to Oatman as well as checking out Bullhead City. Folks throughout the hotel and casino were friendly and always helpful.

Yelp
I'm not sure about my final rate. Just be careful when you do your checkin. I already paid my reservation on hotel.com and the lady tried to charge me 83,72$ instead of 14,99$+50 for the regular deposit. She told me that my reservation wasn't paid, even if I showed her the transaction on my card. It seems that she finally charged me the resort fees twice. We will see So my final rate is one star and if I could give less I would. The elevator for the west room was out of order all week-end long (maybe more). No compensation in any way. When I've made the check out, they tried again (same lady) to charge me more than what they had to. I had to speak loud to be respected, and be charged correctly. At this time, I didn't receive my refund. I'm waiting, I have a correct bill, so...

Yelp
Hotel room is horrible, dirty refrigerator when I first came in, it it felt more like a motel than a hotel, the phone you can't call customer service, because it is ether broken or cut.

Yelp
I don't recommend staying here. We booked a king room with river view on their website months in advance. When we checked in, they changed us to a 2 queen courtyard view room next to the elevator. Room air conditioning was inadequate and not adjustable. Property feels like you are taking a time machine back to the 1980's. What a way to spend your anniversary!

Yelp
We stayed in Laughlin for a week, and we stayed at Aquarius for four days and one night at the Golden Nugget. We should've just stayed at the Aquarius but I wanted to go back to the Nugget as I used to worked there. We arrived at the hotel yesterday around 4:30ish pm (12/21), and the moment we walked in, we noticed the AC was loud. We immediately called the front desk (the same guy who checked us in answered the call) and asked if we could switch to a different room. The front desk agent was not helpful and advised us to call Engineering. I'm sorry, what? We just checked in, and you gave us a room with a loud of AC, and now you want us to do your job? I eventually got a hold of engineering, and they said they would come by. However, we had dinner plans, so we permitted them to enter. We came back to the hotel 4 hours later, around 9 pm. Nothing was done, so we called again. They arrived, and he confirmed it was loud and asked if we wanted to switch rooms. It was already late, and we unpacked, so we just stayed. The sleep was horrible, and now we are driving back with less sleep--good job GNL staff for not accommodating, poor customer service, and overall terrible experience. The hotel is falling apart, and it's just a sad condition. DON'T STAY HERE!!!

Prices, rooms, location, great customer service. Great return on machines, nice restaurants.

Yelp
When we checked in there was no line. So I thought ok good so far, yeah right. We chose this hotel because of the low prices and I wanted to give it a chance but didn't expect my experience to be this awful!! We got to our room and no hair dryer, mini fridge didn't work at all (bummer!). The room was ok but very outdated, the hallway leading to the room very dungy and smelly and dark do to the decore, and rug. We checked out the pool and I went to service desk to ask about towels and the lady said to take towel with us back to the room or else we would get charged $25.00 per towel (what a joke!). Our room never got cleaned so when I checked out I mentioned to rep. And she told me that "only upon request" we need to request at time of check-in. I told her that when I checked in there was no mention of that. I suggested to be communicative and remind customers of this she didn't seem to care. The young girl didn't seem to care for any of my concerns and I reported the fridge non-operable. No apology or any form of remorse or any compensation for our bad experience there!!! Also, very very important the a/c is set at a 73 degrees and you cannot change it. There are times it gets hot and you're sweating!!!! The fridge and a/c situation are both deal breakers for me specially if too hot, like it was 108 degrees that day. For the reasons mentioned above, I rate this hotel a "1" if I could I would rate it a - -1!!! Don't book any rooms here. They should NOT be in business!!!!

Yelp
We've reviewed this hotel before, and it wasn't great. We stayed at the Aquarius, and we were treated terribly by the pool. But the Golden Nugget decided to hire Jenny. The host left us hangin' a bit, but Jenny beautifully filled in many of the gaps. We needed special accommodations because of our sister who's partially disabled. On a busy weekend, Jenny found a way to make most of our stay accessible for her. Jenny, you rock!!

Yelp
Came to Laughlin, Nevada to see The Beach Boys live in concert at Harrah's. Excellent concert, by the way. Decided to stay at the Golden Nuggett and wasn't let down. However, during check-in there was a mishap. When going to the room I was not able to get access with my key. Went back downstairs and the key was reactivated, but again I couldn't get in the room. Had been advised to call security if this happened again. Called and as I was waiting for security , to my surprise a couple that was staying in that room came out and asked what I was doing there. I explained and we all went downstairs and the error was corrected. I was assigned a new room. The room was clean and nice, no complaints here. Fridge, Keurig machine and an iron and ironing board were present. All clean. The view was unfortunately to the parking garage, but I was ok with that. Downstairs the casino is old fashioned and cutesy and they have a nice store. The restaurants are nice, too. Especially Claim Jumper (a little on the small side though) and Bubba Gump. The employees were all very friendly and I even got a late checkout (during check in) without a hassle. Due to the room mix up the late checkout hadn't been applied to my new room, but I got it again without a hassle when I asked at the fron desk the next day. All in all a good experience and I can recommend staying there inspite of the check-in mishap.

Yelp
On a road trip from Denver to SD, I thought it might be fun to try out some towns I've never been to. There are other pet friendly hotels on the river but some have weight and breed restrictions so me and my 45lb lab mix ended up at the Golden Nugget. I called ahead to confirm the pet policy and the helpful agent told me to book the cheapest room possible, wait 24hrs and then call in to be moved to the pet friendly room for $25 more. The rate was super cheap for midweek winter so this pet fee basically upgraded our room to include a patio with access to the dog park straight from our room - so worth it! The room was decorated in contemporary style but things were a bit dated. It's an old hotel so I get that - everything worked so that's what counts. :) In the winter during covid there were entire pages of limitations on restaurants and hours - kind of a bummer but not something we can help, I guess. Happy highlights: - Dog room has hardwood with patio access - GREAT! - Queens beds nice & comfortable with soft pillows. - big bathroom + toiletries - happy to have dog owners - free parking - water and ice in the room - Happy to have a mini fridge + keruig Areas of improvement - Things are clean but not spotless. The door frames of the sliding door have lots of dirt and dog hair. A simple swipe of a vacuum + a rag would fix this. One of 3 pillows on each bed was dirty. Everything is white so perhaps that doesn't help but I also appreciate attention to detail. - No understanding of any pet friendly areas or restaurants in the area. Check in was friendly but could have added some advice. All in all, this was a great experience for pet owners for the money (winter mid-week rate was like $50/night + fees) on the drive back to so cal. It's great to have pet friendly hotels where we can be comfortable and welcomed. I would love to come back and try the water sports and river activities. We will see!

Yelp
One of the better places to stay at Laughlin as the rooms are clean and it never seems too crowded. Yes, it's an old property, but what place in Laughlin isn't? Parking is free, and the resort fee is only $9.99 + tax. They also have decent restaurants such as Saltgrass and Bubba Gump Shrimp since Golden Nugget is owned by Landry's Inc.

Yelp
When using a third party to book, third party says including fees and In the morning they don't give you a receipt with total, at least manager didn't want to. Most hotels do.

Yelp
Room relatively clean but Keurig FUBAR so "NO COFFEE FOR YOU!" was disappointing. Last minute switch from single King to 2 Queens was disappointing. Slider access to shared dog area was convenient, clean & no smell. Lack of convenient outdoor access to river walk for the dog was surmountable by going through Casino. We didn't try it but saw a guy gambling with his NON-service dog at his feet. Overall, it was a bit disappointing for the money but I may be overreacting to the Keurig catastrophe. Morning coffee is important. EDIT: I wrote the above before we checked out & just now downgraded my rating from 3 stars to 1 & they're lucky to get that. GODDAMNED NUGGET LOCKED US OUT OF OUR ROOM WITH OUR SENIOR DOG INSIDE. We pushed our 11:00 am check out to the max & at 10:58 Apple Watch & iPhone time, we were repeatedly trying to get in our room to grab Foxy & my previously packed bag. We had already taken my wife's bags & the cooler to the truck on our way to breakfast. After 4-5 attempts with my key, the wife tried her key several times before giving up & heading to the front desk. I tried my key a few more times & decided it would make a funny video while waiting for the wife to come back. "Foxy. Open the door girl. We're locked out." I only mention this because the front desk said, "Your keys are automatically deactivated at 11". My screenshot shows my video taken after probably 1-2 minutes of trying to get in the room. I set EVERYTHING to our computer (iPhones) time which is incredibly accurate. Regardless , considering the margin of error, what time would YOU set to automatically lock people out of their rooms? 11:05...11:10... Unfreaking believable! Not to mention, zero warning at check in nor anytime during our stay. It's academic since we were on time, albeit barely, but it definitely gives you insight into their crappy consideration for their customers, not to mention their pets. BOO, GODDAMN NUGGET! BAD HOST! BAD!

Yelp
Please note this is a preliminary review based on day of arrival. We were incredibly lucky to have our room ready despite arriving early, and although we had to walk a little longer to get to our room due to a broken elevator, it wasn't all that bad. I was a little bummed to smell stale cigarette smoke because I had requested a non-smoking room, and I was a little more bummed that the empty refrigerator smelled like rotten milk. This trip is just starting though, and because of the great customer service at the counter, I'm hoping these are the only hiccups for the rest of the time here. EDIT: we checked out and there were a few more hiccups: the second light switch near the door was linked to the refrigerator, so be forewarned not to turn that off; call for towels that never came (the other family traveling with us had it much worse, but that's a story for them to tell); both elevators for our wing were out at one point (took the stairs and found some evidence of emesis), and our keys were deactivated before we were done checking out so housekeeping had to let us in (the housekeeper divulged that keys were typically deactivated just a little before checkout time, so just to warn you that was during the 10 AM hour). We did have a few laughs over it, but we're known as a go with the flow crowd. If your main purpose in coming to Laughlin is to gamble and sleep, this place is sufficient for your needs. If you're not that type and consider the hotel an integral part of your experience, you may want to consider staying elsewhere.

Yelp
No shower curtain, pool closed for a week, ice machine doesn't work, and room service REFUSED to bring me any. What are they? 12?

Yelp
The casino offered all we needed for our trip. The Pet friendly first rooms were a bit worn out but sufficient and offered direct access to the grassy area where pets can relieve themselves. The poop bags and trash containers were easy to find. The variety of dinning places were varied and easy to find. The food in all was above par. The convenience of food location was ideal as my husband can no longer walk far. The staff members were all helpful and kind to seniors. We had a great anniversary trip to this Casino.

Yelp
We arrived on Friday at noon, We haven't been to Laughlin in over 30 years. Had to wait for our room to be ready at 3pm, no problem. We went to the casino and played until our room was ready. Got in our room and coming from Phoenix Arizona the room was nice a "cold". Hubby was freezing, I was comfortable. The room was nice, king size bed, clean and crisp sheets and blanket. Room clean, refrigerator clean, everything except the bathroom floor was clean. It looked like someone tried to clean the bathroom floor, but missed under the sink and hair in the corner of the door. At lunch at Claim Jumpers, great service and wonderful food. At dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse. Both places were wonderful. Great food and quick service. Saturday, really nice day. Left early for the IFL Rattlers Game (who won by the way) Got back late that night. So not a lot of action for us at the Golden Nugget Laughlin on Saturday. Sunday morning..... 8AM hear a knock at our door. Woke me up from a dead sleep. I went to get up, standing in my PJ, thinking the knock was one of our kids (who are over 21), when another knock came on the door. I'm walking towards the door when the door opens....yes, OPENS. A guy is standing there and I'm yelling "who are you?" He says "Oh sorry" and shuts the door. (this reminds me...ALWAY LOCK THE DOOR WITH THE LOCK THAT A KEY CAN'T OPEN!). My fault because we didn't do that. So my hubby and I got up, he took a shower, and then it was my turn and found out that there was no hot water for me, not even warm water. So it's now 10am and we are checking out to come home. I explained to the girl that was checking us out about the guy opening the door on me, and she just shook her head and said, "You aren't the first to complain about that this morning!" She said she would tell someone from that department. We went to Claim Jumpers for brunch and had a wonderful time. Our waiter Jeff was great. We had him both times we ate there. He even tried to get us to apply for a job there, running the Keno area. Except for the door, hair on the floor and hot water, our stay was great. These are not deal breakers for us never staying there again. The door, we should have locked it better. The hot water, I could have showered the night before. The hair on the floor, should have called and had them vacuum it up. But wore my shower shoes instead. We didn't get to the pool, as we weren't there for that. Drinks were good too. But No one has Southern Comfort, but the rum and pineapple were great.

Yelp
Overall we loved our stay at the golden nugget. Plenty of food and snacking options. I liked that the casino was slightly off the hotel so you didn't have to walk directly into cigarette smoke. The staff was super friendly. The hot tub and pool area was clean but needed to bring your own towel down. We will come back to the golden nugget in the future.

Yelp
Where do I start? Rooms smell, not being cleaned properly or thoroughly. Hall ways smell like pee, elevators smell like marijuana and vomit ughh Casino smells very strong of cigarettes!! It's supposed to be smoke free. It was 110 degrees and I had to call several times to get the air conditioner working and all they kept saying is "it'll kick on eventually"!!!! People being very loud right in front of our door. We ended up checking out a day early because of all this. I did tell the front desk and all she said was....." I apologize, maybe your next visit will be better"!!! Next visit??? Naw I'm good! One positive note tho, I met a very cool gentleman who was a maintenance worker who looked exactly like The actor Sam Elliot, his name was Kelly Smith! The one star was for him and his kindness.

Yelp
Pit boss (Don) will kick you out if he hears you using the F bomb.. Very impractical and unprofessional. Ruined the entire mood of my visit.

Yelp
Check in process: Seriously, the most unfriendly people I have ever met at any hotel/resort. Bad first impression. Parking: Free self parking but valet is free as well. Hotel: Only half the elevators worked. The rooms are older and could use a huge upgrade. Amenities: Restaurants are good. Claim Jumper's, Salt Grass (on par with Outback), Bean/Bread ( think Coffee Bean), and Bubba Gump Shrimp. Service: Internet was spotty on the first day. Our room flooded and we were given a new room promptly but I had to argue/negotiate for some comps. The heater/cooler was also funky. Overall: I would not return and until the facility makes some major upgrades, I would avoid this hotel. Bad customer service, take your money elsewhere. You are better off at Acquarious or Harrah's or Laughlin's Hotel.

Yelp
I called marketing department all day, but the operator called Virginia either kept telling me there were no one in that department or transferring me to other departments such as front desk, security..., I couldn't talk to the manager either, Virginia told me that, it looks like no one works in the casino/resort, she then hung me up very rudely!

No N.

Yelp
The staff is very rude and misunderstanding the housekeeping crew locked me out of my room for 2 hours. The hotel whole west wing was without power for 6-7hrs on June 17

Yelp
Negative stars. In the recovery stages of cancer. Drank about a half a cup of Diet Coke and it didn't sit well with me. Ended up throwing it up in the trash can. Went outside to get some air and three casino goons came to throw me out. Even though I showed them the 10 inch scar from my surgery and was as sober as a Church lady. Went and found a manager who proceeded to cut me off as I spoke and just kept saying "we don't know your medical condition". Not that I didn't also show him the obvious scar and the fact that I don't drink anyway, and was obviously not intoxicated. Spent $800 and a 4 hour drive to get here. Worst experience in a casino I have ever had. A bunch of brain dead goons and managers who chose this job over working at a gas station. I am disgusted with how I was treated and out of empathy for a two time cancer survivor you should never ever go to this dive wanna be casino.

Yelp
Edit: I just spoke to our friends who were with us during our trip, and they informed us that they paid $50 for their security deposit. We paid $300 which I KNEW was insane. So someone at the front desk clearly overcharged us and stole the money because we also never got a dime of it back. Terrible. We stayed here last month (mid november) and everything was awful from the minute we got to our room to when we left. When we checked in they told us our security deposit was double what we were told when booking online, which is insane. I have stayed at very nice, expensive vegas hotels and I have never had to pay $300 for a security deposit. Then when we finally get to our room, it's DIRTY! We were literally sent to a room that someone just left from. There were used tissues on the dresser, wet, dirty towels on the bathroom floor, and the bed literally looked like someone just crawled out of it. When I picked up the phone and told them we were sent to a room that was not cleaned, they told us to go back downstairs to be assigned a new room. The front desk clerk apologized but immediately started blaming housekeeping and started saying things like "I hope they get fired" which made us uncomfortable. We were offered a new room, but it was much further away and the view we got was of more hotel rooms. We were offered no other means of compensation. Had this happened even at the Golden Nugget in Vegas, we would have at least been offered a discount or SOMETHING. I know this isn't a nice hotel at all by any means but that felt pretty insulting for what we had to pay and from then, things just kept getting worse. The TV in the room is so dark it's nearly impossible to watch anything, and there are no settings on it to brighten it at all. The AC only works for ten minutes, then stops for a half hour, then on for another ten minutes. It was hot in our room all night, even when it turned on it was loud and woke us up and didn't seem to do anything more than act as a weak fan. the coffee maker also turned off in the middle of making coffee four times, and when it finally managed to make a full cup, it overflowed (yes i poured out the previous attempts). I was in no way expecting the coffee to taste good, but we drove 7 hours and I needed a pick me up. It tasted like horse shit. When I voiced a complaint about the AC (that was really the thing that mattered the most) they just kept telling us to go back downstairs to the front desk. We were already sick and tired of running back and forth, so we just said forget it. The pool apparently closes extremely early, because when we tried to use it around 5pm a staff member told us to either use the hot tub or leave because it was closed. Fine, we used the hot tub. On the bright side, at least that was nice. Until we saw an old man staring at me from one of the rooms. When I told my boyfriend and pointed at which room, he told me we should just go. Really creepy. We ate dinner at Bubba Gump, which was very nice. Our server was sweet and the food was great so that lifted our spirits quite a bit, until we hit the casino. ALL of the staff in the casino are so unnecessarily rude!!! One lady in particular at the roulette table told off our friends who met us there, and screwed him out of the money he had barely just sat down and bet. When he politely went over to a manager and explained, he kept using language that painted our friend as some kind of entitled scammer when he hadn't done a single thing wrong?? So we just left and told them we wouldn't be coming back. Gambled at the Edgewater instead! On our last night there we ate at claim jumper which was awesome. But the restaurants within the hotel were literally the only positive thing about our entire stay. Do not stay at the Golden Nugget Laughlin. They are rude, have inadequate staff, they overcharge for their disgusting rooms, and the staff in the casino will just steal from you and management will not only let them get away with it, but they will verbally abuse you if you approach them. Please, stay somewhere else. You WILL regret booking a room here.

Yelp
We visited the Golden nugget in laughlin and we used Valet around 12 am we had a guy named Steven that parked our van , he made comments about a RC boat he said that was a nice boat, I had bought my son that boat we actually bought 3 different boats and he was the only one who was in and around our vehicle and made a comment about this specific boat he was a lil strange he even asked my family for food and he also reaches in our van and grabbed a football out of our van trying to play catch, this is not normal so the following morning we go to the lake and this one specific boat is missing ? Paul Berlier, his boss, said he looked into it I don't believe it !!! They did nothing to make us feel better ! 2 different valet associates said that they are so surprised that he still works there !!! I would not stay there they have people that are obviously not trust worthy !!!

Yelp
Another couple, my husband and I stayed here 3 nights. We paid more for third floor rooms in the east wing with a spectacular view of the Colorado River and pool lounge chairs. My husband's and my room was comfortable. There were two large bedside tables with good reading lights. There were two comfortable upholstered chairs plus a desk chair and a desk. The dresser was big enough for us to unload our suitcases. The comfort level of the kingsize mattress was okay but not great. The Keurig coffee maker came with only one caffeinated pod and one decaff pod. Since there were two of us coffee drinkers, we never drank coffee in the room. The room had a small fridge. Housekeeping came everyday to clean our room, which I appreciated. We ate at 3 good restaurants in the hotel: Saltgrass Steakhouse, Claim Jumper and Bubba Gumps. We were disappointed that the hotel did not have a coffee bar, but we were able to sit with coffee at Claim Jumper. It is possible there was a sandwich shop with coffee but it did not open early enough for us. On the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday February nights we stayed, we never saw any live music. At most we saw one table of Craps in operation, and it was pretty quiet. Most people at this casino appear to play the slots. I liked the windows overlooking the river that were in one bar at the Golden Nugget. I can't tell you much about the bars because the people we were traveling with wanted to drink in the room. None of us was really into gambling so we didn't spend much time in the casino. We enjoyed a wonderful jet boat trip on the Colorado River: leaving from the dock at the Edgewater casino, and traveling 2 miles downstream to Lake Havasu City. We spent two hours at Lake Havasu City, and the boated back. I enjoyed the scenery although the jet boat was noisy and there was no bathroom. I enjoyed the short water taxi ride we took. The Golden Nugget is one of the casino docking spots for the water taxi. Unlike the Riverside, the Golden Nugget has no bowling alley, billiards, movie theatre. It is not near the action.

Yelp
Beautiful place food is great there rooms are clean and big it's one of the nicest on Fremont St .the pool is great the aquarium with the fish our swimming right by you However I would of have it 5 stars but we rented a couch area for my mom's birthday and I smelled natural gas where I was sitting and got the worst headache called to let them know the towel guy said others have smelled it manger gave us a discount but don't rent the couch area to the left of it he entranced the first one
